This charming equestrian lake cottage is located on a secluded, clean spring fed lake in Eustis, Florida. Newly renovated, new comfortable pillow top mattresses. Lake access, including the ability to launch small boats on site. Fishing and campfires are welcomed. Enjoy the peacefulness with a view of grazing horses on property. This is your authentic lake farmhouse destination. Away from all the chaos, but within minutes you can be in downtown Mt Dora or Eustis.

Sweet house

I was initially not impressed because the entry and drive is messy and difficult to navigate. Then I got inside and decided the stay was well worth it. The host was super nice and friendly. Linens and beds wonderful. Kitchen equipment pretty good. Just needed some TLC on the outside. Blowing leaves, Washing away some mud. General sprucing up. I would definitely stay there again.

A Wonderful Experience

This was exactly what we needed this weekend! Such a charming place with an amazing lake view right in the back yard. The hosts were superb and so kind. I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking to have a peaceful getaway. A huge thanks to the hosts for being absolutely wonderful!

Perfect and peaceful

The property is beautiful with the large oaks and waterfront views, etc. Very private and relaxing. Close to Mt. Dora for dining or shopping. We will likely stay again.One drawback, we did have 4 adults and the second room is through to primary and the one bath is only accessible through the primary. So, they had to come in our room during the night to use the restroom. Otherwise it was perfect.

Tranquil getaway

The interior of this lakefront cottage is newly remodeled, and features high quality furnishings and linens. Very comfortable for a weekend getaway or longer stay to kayak, go fishing etc. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had We would definitely return for a future visit!

Feeling of Old Florida

The property fully met our expectations and placed us in an area of Florida that we had never experienced. Lake County has about 1100 lakes some of which are huge. The LC Water Authority has a dozen areas or more that are preserves for water quality and flora and fauna protection. Many trails are available to hike and birding was good in a couple of the preserves. We even saw a bear track, but not the bear that made it. The hosts were great and we found all the people we met to be friendly. I imagine this will become a repeat trip in the not to distant future.

Above Expectations

The host was very accommodating and put the extra effort in down to the little details. We were in town for a wedding, and this home was the perfect location. The outdoor space and lake view were enchanting. The house was decorated for the holidays, which made it feel warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend.

Must needed relaxing Weekend

Beautiful property, you honestly can not help but relax when you stay at Red Bird Cottage. There are porches surrounding the house with comfortable seating to watch the wildlife and view the lake. Kayaks waiting on the dock for lake exploring. Fire pit with wood ready to go and a gas grill. Plan on visits from Sandhill cranes and Osceola turkeys. The house is clean and truly charming. The hosts are very accommodating and seem to be sincere in their desire for you to enjoy your stay. The only downside is that you walk through the master bedroom to get to the second bedroom and the bathroom is in the master bedroom. I hope to bring my husband back for a couple weekend.

Felt like our own treehouse cottage

We had a very nice stay at the cottage. It was calm, relaxing and the hosts were accessible, communicative, and kind. We had a little bad luck with the weather but the hosts were very generous, helping to assure we enjoyed our time and felt safe. And our pooches loved it! We felt like we were in a tree house, it was splendid.

Amazing views!

Property views were absolutely amazing and peaceful! I wish we had more time to enjoy during our 3 night stay. Property is nestled between equestrian farms right on a lake. The home is cozy and only critique would be the two bedrooms are connected by a slat type door so you don’t have a lot of privacy. The bathroom is in the master so the guest room must come through master to use. Coffee bar was a wonderful touch!! Deck area is expansive and looks right on the lake. Great fishing dock! Our teens loved it!

So lovely

Absolutely beautiful home and setting. Peaceful and secluded. The lake at sunrise and the horses and cows on the property were icing on the cake. We were sorry to only be able to stay 2 nights for this trip. We will be back for a longer stay!

It is a truly beautiful lake house with plenty of room. Not far from the city and all it's amenities. I lovingly recommend a visit to this piece of the quiet country living on the lake.

Relaxing retreat

My husband, dog and myself throughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect location and opportunity to relax. The lake and beautiful trees provided a serene retreat like feel. Just 15 minutes to mt. Dora . Very happy we found this beautiful cottage.

Terrific location, Terrific atmosphere, Terrific space

Our youngest daughter was getting married at Moss Estates nearby. This space from the time we walked in was absolutely perfect. Great location, absolutely perfect David was responsive with any questions we had. My wife loved it and she is sometimes hard to please. This was the best place we have ever stayed at. Felt like home We will be going back soon to explore the area Eustis was great also Downtown has lots of spaces to view. We absolutely loved the entire stay. Thank you David.

Redbird cottage & farm, LLC is a family run business. After tragically losing my father in 2021. God blessed my husband and I with an opportunity to purchase two beautiful homes on a private lake here in Central Florida. One home for my husband and I, and one for my now widowed mother. We are absolutely in love with our property! It only had one problem as an avid horse owner, I wanted to be able to have more land for my horses so, God blessed us again with the opportunity to purchase the neighboring property, another 4 acres with a third house.
As the saying goes when “Cardinals appear angels are near” Redbird cottage and farm, LLC. was born.
My husband and I have put our hearts and souls into this charming cottage located on a beautiful private lake in hopes that our guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery, country living, and animals as much as we do. We hope it has a little old fashioned Southern charm feeling to it and we want to provide you with great hospitality.
When we are not working on the our farm, I work as a mental health counselor for our local school district. My husband owns a small company, writing software. We also enjoy spending time with our many animals including horses, as well as boating. We are a Christian family, who believe in old fashion, southern hospitality and kindness. We would love to share this little piece of paradise we were blessed with.

The property is located on a private lake and has a total of 4 acres and surrounded is by horse pasture. This is truly country living at its best. The charming cottage is located .5 miles off the main road back a firm dirt sand and gravel road.
You cannot see the property from the main road. Needless to say it is private and safe here.
For your comfort we do monitor the property with external security cameras and motion lights.
My husband and I are your closest neighbors, separated by trees, pasture Fencing.
