This location serves as the eastern gateway to the beautiful Black Hills! No need to spend extra time in the car trying to find your vacation rental when this well kept, secret gateway to the Black Hills location boasts easy access to many of the areas best tourist attractions that you don't want to miss! This beautiful 2-bedroom condo in Hermosa will be perfect for your escape! With a comfy queen bed in each bedroom, guests can relax in the cozy bedrooms. The living room offers additional space with a queen sofa bed. Heating and air conditioning ensure a comfortable stay, while amenities like a washing machine and dryer, WiFi, iron and hair dryer add convenience. This home has no stairs so it’s easy in, with wide door ways, stained concrete floors, and a 5' walkin shower! You can sit back and enjoy our marvelous condo. It's an easy seconds commute to SD Highway 79, it's10 miles to Custer State Park visitors center and the Buffalo Roundup, 10 minutes to Rapid City, and 15 miles east of Mt. Rushmore! This easy access will lead you to the highways that will also lead you to Crazy Horse Monument, Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak), the Badlands, Wind Cave National Park, Rushmore Cave, the Mammoth Site and healing waters in Hot Springs, many of our beautiful area lakes, like the beautiful Sylvan Lake, hiking trails or a day of shopping in Keystone, Hill City or Rapid City and much more. We are only 10 minutes to Rapid City! This recently built duplex unit is very clean, modern, cute and efficient with everything you will need for your stay! This quiet, yet "get in and out of quick and easy" location is in the Town of Hermosa with an out of town feel... when you walk out the door, the west facing patio will allow you to see the Black Hills and on a clear day, you can see Black Elk Peak, (formerly Harney Peak) which you can also get to from here! While sitting out on the patio, you can enjoy a beautiful South Dakota sunset! Another added feature of the home is in the winter months, you will enjoy the wonderful in floor heating system to keep your feet warm! Each bedroom and the Livingroom are individually zoned so the additional heating and/or cooling system allows you to keep the heat or cooling temperatures individually set to where each room is comfortable. After a long day of touring the Black Hills and attractions, you can wind down with a nice evening walk on the sideway through town just below after your busy day. Parking is a breeze, directly in front of the unit, no steps, easy entrance and so charming! You’ll love everything this home has to offer! We hope you’ll come stay with us soon!

This was a great place to stay while we toured the area. Easy drive to Custer State Park. Living room, kitchen, and bathroom were very comfortable. The Queen bedroom’s bed was very comfortable. The second bed was very firm. Decorations were cute and cozy. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Location

My parents and I had a wonderful stay. This house is perfectly located close to everything we planned to do from the Badlands to the Black Hills. Bridget was so easy to communicate with and all the details made the house a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

Everything was clean and well organized. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. The remotes for the TV were underneath the TV in their homes. It was a pleasant place to stay. We will definitely consider it the next time we are staying in the Black Hills

We had a wonderful stay in Hermosa. The place was so clean and inviting. Our family of 5 were very comfortable here and the hosts are very welcoming to their guests. Black Hills attractions are easy to get to from here.

Amazing place

This is the best vrbo place we have ever stayed at -so clean and organized. It has everything you would need. It was beautiful and and spacious. Bridget was super nice and communicative and thinks of everything yoy would need.

Great Stay

This is one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. The place was clean, well-thought out, and had everything we needed. It is close to Custer and Keystone and an easy drive to the rest of the region. The Shorbs are great people and highly responsive. I highly recommend this VRBO. Don't forget to eat at Lintz Bros Pizza when in Hermosa!

It felt like home the moment we walked through the door. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for our home base. Homey comfort

We were there for 3 nights. It is a great location to visit all of the surrounding parks and monuments. The owners thought of everything to make to make our stay comfortable including fruit pops in the freezer!

Perfect!

Traveled to SD for the Bison Roundup at Custer State Park. This cute, clean duplex unit was perfect for us - close to the park. Very quiet, with easy access to the main road. SD is beautiful and we were able to explore it all from here.

Vacation with grandson!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was above our expectations! The host was so kind and even had fruit snacks and fruit bars in the freezer for us. The kitchen had everything we could imagine in it. Best place we have ever rented!!

Perfect location!

Loved this place conveniently located to many attractions. Beautiful scenery labels all over the house made everything very convenient to find and use. Lots of information from places to eat to many attractions to see. How to use step by step instructions for everything like heat and ac and the tv. Me and my family had a blast when home and when out.

Family roadtrip

We had a great time in the Blackhills area and Bridget's home in Hermosa is a centrally located place to have as a home base while exploring all that South Dakota has to offer. Very nice, clean and cozy place. She had everything we could need and was very responsive. Thanks Bridget.

I am a married mom with four beautiful daughters, two grown and moved away and 2 teenagers still at home. My husband has lived in the Hermosa area his entire life having grown up on a dairy farm and ranch here and I have been living in the Hermosa area all of my adulthood, so this is our community that we know and love! We have been entrepreneurs from the start and making our way through life in different ventures which led us into the rental housing market in the Hermosa area.

A few years ago, we decided to build a duplex on some land we had been sitting on. One led to two and two led to 3! Wow it was a lot of work over these last few years as we are "do it yourselfers"! I with the design and he with the skills and a lot of blood, sweat and tears, we finished all 6 units and have had annual renters to this point! The units turned out so cute and homey that one day our daughter asked why we weren't sharing the beauty of them with all the travelers we have coming to our area through a vacation rental. Timing just never really worked out until now, so with her help, our lovely little unit came to life! We are so very excited to share our hard work with you all and hope that you find as much enjoyment in it as we had in making it come to life! We are excited for you to come to Hermosa and enjoy all the beauty and fun things to do in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota!

We built this home recently on land we have had for many years as we are locals here. Hermosa is a growing community but still a very small town. This property is on the very west outskirts so it gives you an out of town feel but with close proximity to everything convenient and easy access. With gas stations, restaurants, grocery store, coffee house and a dollar store in town and super close, you will find this location so super convenient! l hope that you will chose this property for your stay while in the Black Hills area! This location is so easy to find and so convenient! You'll love how easy it is to get on with your day and get back home to after a long day! It truly leads you to anything you want to see and do in the Black Hills! We hope you will love our home, and we hope it feels like your home away from home! We also hope you will be glad you chose it as your place to stay while in the Black Hills and will tell all your friends about it!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This home is like a glorified hotel room with all the benefits you can imagine! It’s not huge but has everything you would need to have in a hotel stay but with more comfort, privacy, less people, full kitchen, laundry facility in house and easy access to get to all the areas of the Black Hills that you want to see! There are no hotels in our area, the closest hotel is 15 miles from here, but it is the gateway that has access to all the highways that lead to our areas most sought after attractions. Hermosa is growing and compared to what it was 10 years ago, we have a lot to offer for such a small town! There is now a grocery store, Dollar General, a Coffee Shop, a pizza place, a family restaurant, a US Post Office, rodeo grounds, gas stations and a truck stop which has a deli, a bar, a laundromat, and a hair salon, and there are several local churches in the area. You will find occasionally a Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast offered at the local Masonic hall or American Legion, or a Friday night of Bingo at the local American Legion hall. One local campground offers breakfast every morning during the summer months and dinner in the evenings with maybe a wine tastings or a band for an evening of fun! Every year in August, Hermosa is the home to the Custer County Fair, which is an old school fair where they have cattle showings, submit your talent for judging whether that be baking, sewing, photos, woodworking, etc. and the public is welcome to view all. There is a ranch rodeo, bull riding, 4-H rodeo, and dances. The American Legion holds its biggest fundraiser of the year then too and they call it Beers-n-Ears, where the Legion offers an all your can eat dinner of a hot dog and corn on the cob and a beer if you wish! It's always a good time and something you don't want to miss if you are in the area in August. Then October hosts the must see Custer state Park Buffalo Roundup every year! This is truly something you don’t want to mention as! Come see us soon!
