Large Oceanfront Home in Exclusive Brant Rock Section of Marshfield - Sleeps 10

Don't settle for less on your vacation! Stay in a spacious (approx. 4,500 sq. ft) oceanfront home designed in the style of New England with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The house is equipped with various amenities including free WiFi, cable TV, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor grill. The majority of the house boasts stunning ocean views, hardwood floors, and 10-foot ceilings.

From the images, you will notice that we have recently undergone/finished renovations in our home, including freshly painting the interior of the house, updating the hardwood floors, and completely remodeling the main bathroom on the upper floor. This exquisite bathroom showcases luxurious marble finishings, a spacious stand-up shower, and a relaxing bathtub.

Beautiful antique details, fireplaces, parlors, sitting rooms, huge living room, charming 3rd level look out, natural light pours in illuminating the high ceilings & oversize rooms. Incredible out door space, lush terraced gardens, tool shed, brick patio, steps to meander through the lilies. Sit on the front porch over looking the awe inspiring Atlantic Ocean and all it's beauty as the boats sail by. Front row to incredible sunrise & sunsets, screened in porch.

This home is on Brant Rock's "high road" and boasts commanding views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy watching the sunrise from the large front porch. Rock Beach is a short stroll down the road or venture to the rocky beach in front of the home to explore and play in the tide pools at low tide. Beaches in area: Brant Rock Beach, Green Harbor Beach, Rexhame Beach and Duxbury Beach. Home is located in walking distance from many popular restaurants. We are also located 0.6 miles away from Peter Igo Park, which provides tennis, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts. You can walk or drive, they have public parking available.

The house comfortably accommodates 10 guests in beds, and there's plenty of room for more if you utilize the sofas and foldout beds.

Our home also offers a decent sized driveway that can fit, at the least, 4/5 cars comfortably.

We had a wonderful stay here in 2024. There were several nice improvements since then. The place combines incredible ocean side beauty with walking distance access to some good restaurants. Owners are always easy to deal with. We had a nice chat with Kevin (property maintainer) who told us about the history and the cupola.

Good location, OK House

Spacious house, but a little dated. The location is great, but the beds were old, the house was not great during the heat of July and the AC was not sufficient. The doors were sticky. The kitchen was small, the appliances old, and it lacked sufficient cooking tools. The back yard was spacious but there were no places to eat as a group (there were three chairs at the outside table).

Enchanting

The location and the grounds are perfect and with the house created a beautiful background for a family weekend. The kids and teens loved the gardens, ponds and spaces to play.

Needs Attention

While the location and grounds of the home with the ocean view were great, and the home had plenty of character, our overall impression fell short of expectations. The interior was comfortable and in good condition given the age of the home. The upstairs bathrooms were nicely updated. The cleanliness of the home however was lacking, e.g., food was found under and in some of the furniture. Several safety issues also existed, e.g., one of the stair railings was loose at the top and nails were exposed from a prior stair railing no longer there. The outdoor grill was not outside, porch chairs were not ready for use and the third level look out was not accessible as advertised. The home generally did not appear ready to receive guests. The exterior is in need of repairs appearing more worn than the advertised photos leaving a sad first impression. The front porch screen was torn, there was no handle on the front porch screen door, exterior paint was peeling, wood siding was missing in a few places, nails were exposed near the south side door and some gutters were on the ground. The screen door, which provided access to the electronic entry door lock, was locked from the inside. The electronic entry bolt would not operate from the outside requiring access to the key lock from the host to gain entry. We’d consider booking another stay in the future if the safety, cleanliness and our other concerns were addressed.

Excellent Stay

We celebrated "Grammy's" birthday with our children, spouses and grand-kids and all was perfect. The Family room was a perfect place to interact with the family, especially grand-kids. TY for having us!

Ocean front house for large groups

My group loved it here! We were looking for plenty of room, (has more than enough), very comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms, decent kitchen, and the sunsets were outstanding!! Nice small town feel, safe, relaxing (we were there in March, it may be very busy in the summer). Very responsive host. I definitely recommend it!

Perfect location for ocean views, dining, and walks

The Brant Rock location matched our preference for close access to the ocean in Marshfield. We highly enjoyed walks in the area along with dining at the Brant Rock Hop (Route 66 themed classic breakfast) and the Fairview Inn (very good seafood). Marshfield in early October was pleasantly quiet compared to the summer crowds. The house is old and somewhat quirky in a good way. Bedrooms and bathrooms are modern and comfortable. The host was very responsive to questions. The rules for leaving were simple and easy to follow. We plan to stay here again in 2025.

This oceanfront estate in Marshfield is a gem!

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful old New England estate right on the ocean in Marshfield, MA. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and character of this historic home. The estate's stunning location directly across from the ocean provided breathtaking views that we enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. The sound of the waves and the salty sea breeze were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation. The house itself is a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern comfort. The quirky layout added to the intrigue and made exploring the home an adventure in itself. Each room has its own unique personality, reflecting the estate's rich history. The bathrooms were particularly beautiful, combining classic elegance with modern amenities, making them both functional and luxurious. One of the most fascinating aspects of this estate is its musical history. Formerly owned by a professor at the Harvard Conservatory, the house has a wonderful back room where he and his colleagues would gather to play music. We could almost hear the echoes of past melodies as we gathered in this space. The estate is spacious and well-equipped, perfect for a retreat with friends. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the various living areas provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The outdoor space was equally impressive, with beautiful gardens and a front porch to take in the view. Highly recommended!

Girls Weekend Away

The location was perfect and we had a spectacular sunrise as our Host told us about. A few of us got up at 5:30 to see it. The seals in the water were an added bonus. We had a great time and enjoyed the screen porch, the front yard and easy access to the beach. The only draw backs were the lighting by the grill, we could have used more to see when grilling after sundown. Also, there were no beach chairs to be found, but I spoke to host and he quickly had some delivered the next day which was perfect timing and the listing of ice maker is really not what ice cube tray are. We brought 10 lbs of ice, but may want to reword the amenities. We look forward to booking again.
