2026 POOL SEASON: MAY 8-SEPT 30. NOTE: THIS IS A SEMI PRIVATE POOL SHARED ONLY WITH OUR OTHER UNIT DIRECTLY BEHIND. POOL IS FOR GUESTS ONLY, NOT OTHER FRIENDS.Heated, 14x28 in-ground, saltwater pool!  HOT TUB: CLOSES 10.31, NO WINTER HOT TUB. 8 person spa with a new 42" TV mounted under the covered area for super cool enjoyment while in the hot tub!  3 bedrooms, 1 bath 1,200 sq ft., lower unit. The rear yard of this is a nice, grassy area that adjoins the awesome pool deck. 2 back yards for your enjoyment! Tiki bar, gazebo, gas firepit, Bocce ball, corn hole too. 3 nice sized bedrooms with new Roku Flat screen TV's, large bathroom, double vanity, washer / dryer, & more! Bedroom 1; king, Bedroom 2; queen, bedroom 3; 1 queen, 2 twin beds, all new Roku, flat screen TV's.  This property, "Buoy House" is basically a less expensive back door to our other home, the "Round House" with the awesome pool deck but with this unit you have a hot tub too. NOTE: The pool is for paying guests only, No friends of guests as it is semi private. This keeps the crowd down, we have no issues, everyone gets along and enjoys each other. Afterall, hotels have sometimes 50 rooms with one pool. It works well.

Host was good at communicating but the hot tub was too acidic to get in and I had to scrub mold out of the shower.

My cleaner never had mold show me the photos please. The Ph is tested and correct in the hot tub too it is not acidic! You rate only 3 from these minor things? I wish I could re rate you.... Another Karen...

Close to parks and island ferries, yet plenty of privacy. The home was spacious with plenty of room for multiple families. The outdoor space was beautifully landscaped and had all of the amenities needed for a perfect stay.

Great place to stay for Cedar Point

Check in was very easy, everything was clean, and the backyard was beautiful. Very close to Cedar Point. Jeff and his wife were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

We loved this property! We only live 30 minutes away but chose to have a little vacation so that we could swim and hot tub and chill out with our teenage kids for a few days away. This was perfect. The back yard is adorable and makes you feel like you are on a real vacation far away! I took pictures during the day and then at night when it was all lit up. I wish we would have taken more advantage at night by the fire but we were having too much fun inside playing games!The pool was heated which I thought would be too hot in the 85 degree weather but it was perfect. The hot tub was very relaxing after a dip. They said we shared the pool with the house behind us but in 5 days we never even met them - I know they were out there one day when we were on our way out somewhere but based on the way the back yard is set up didn't actually see them.The beds were so comfy and I loved the huge squishy pillows. The kitchen is huge and we used the grill also. We washed clothes and swimsuits every night so went home with no laundry! There was enough space in the family room for us all to sit around the couches and tables to play board games every night. The owners live upstairs (so nice - we met them as we were walking in and gave me their text in case we needed) so we didn't have to worry about bad neighbors upstairs which was a relief.Our only problems is that for a family of 7 we probably should do a house with 2 bathrooms next time but that was my fault! Oops.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the host. The pool was fabulous and the yard had great space for a peaceful sound bath one of the evenings.

Family Getaway

The property and owners were fantastic. This was the perfect property for all ages. Diane greeted us at arrival and answered any questions. Our kids loved the pool and enjoyed the ability to spread out during our stay. This was a great property for a getaway.We cannot wait to return.

This property made our stay in Sandusky so much better than a crowded hotel with the amazing backyard oasis that’s only shared with their other property although we lucked out and had it all to ourselves for our stay. The hosts were amazing and accommodating. Very easy check in process. Definitely intend on staying here again. BONUS they have the cutest friendliest little dogs who will keep you the best company if you don’t mind

Great family get away weekend

Plenty to do in the area. Lots of fun spots within walking or short driving distance. House well set up with activities and the host was very welcoming. A very pleasant weekend for all ages.

Buoy House is a true gem of a place to stay! The owners have thought of everything you need to just relax and enjoy the space. The backyard is a beautiful oasis! We loved the hot tub, and especially the pool! There’s a park just down the street, on the lake, that you can view the gorgeous sunsets over the water. It was a great trip, easy check in and out! Highly recommend!!

Did not use the pool as pool season was over. Looked like a fun pool to use in the summer. Backyard was all set up for your summer activities. We went to Cedar Point for Halloweekend. This place is very conveniently located to Cedar Point, gas and food. Spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Hometown gathering

A great place to stay for us and our children/grandchildren for a family event back in my hometown. Great hosts, providing nice amenities, even a fire in the fire pit in the evening.

Great Place!

We were in town for an event and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. This property was in a very convenient location. Overall the property was clean and comfortable and has many extras like a pool, hot tub, yard games, etc. Owners were very responsive with any questions I had. I would stay here again for sure.

Such a fun rental!

The host was so helpful from start to finish. The rental was so cute and was stocked with all kinds of things. Weather your traveling with just adults or have kids, there something fun for everyone! We had amazing stay and would definitely come back! The back yard is full of fun activities and the pool was so much fun for our kids!

My wife and I have been vacationing in Sandusky for over 10 years. It's a great, family friendly place to bring the kids.

Our "Mini Resort" is unique in town. We own through to 2 streets. NOTE: The pool is semi private, shared only with the other home directly behind this one.
The back yards of each home adjoin with a built in, heated, 14x28 inground, saltwater pool with waterfall. It's like your own oasis really. One back yard has a massive pool deck with tiki bar, gas firepit / gazebo and the other back yard is fenced / pet friendly with Corn hole, Bocce ball and a firepit! We also rent our 2017 Yamaha waverunner. Please inquire when you book.
