NA PAINA ('' El Ironwoods '') es una casa de cedro grande enclavado en árboles Ironwood justo en la playa de arena en Anahola Bay. Esta bahía aislada, ubicado a 13 millas del aeropuerto de Lihue, tiene una playa perfecta fondo de arena para la natación y el surf. Piscinas de mareas y zonas de buceo se encuentran en cada extremo de la bahía, a un corto paseo por la playa. La casa está a poca distancia de restaurantes, campos de golf, tiendas y teatros.

The house is amazing! The view unbelievable. There were 10 of us and the house was so well stocked with everything we needed for that many people. We cooked all meals at the house after a visit to Costco. I highly recommend staying here! If you do, be sure to explore ALL the closets first so you know everything you need is there! There are even abundant beach towels and beach and snorkeling gear and boogie boards.Also, the young people loved the two lofts. Huge thanks to hosts Steve & Annie

We had a wonderful stay at Na Paina!Eight of us, family and friends had plenty of room! Enjoyed the spectacular beach views!Enjoyed having four separate bedrooms all with connecting bathrooms!The house had great amenities… A kitchen stocked with many spices… And beach toys including chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and snorkel equipment!Would recommend this house to groups of family and friends… Very spacious!

Wonderful relaxed beach vacation with a very pleasant and airy home, tons of beach toys/snorkle gear and great weather. Would recommend this highly to family oriented Kauai vacationers. Located between north and south beaches /activities and close to supply shopping in Kapaa.

Cabin like home on the beach .. only complaint is I wish it had better air conditioning. The two larger rooms had portable units in them but the rest of the house does not.. The owners do provide a lot of fans and the cool breeze off of the ocean helps a lot..

We had an excellent experience! We had a family of six adults and two children and one infant. The home was clean and spacious with lots of privacy. The amenities were outstanding from towels and linen, kitchen appliances and cooking utensils, BBQ grill, washer/dryer, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, surfboards etc… We had everything we needed and more.Coordination with the owners was clear, concise and thorough. Definitely recommend!

Very spacious place right on a beautiful beach. There is only AC in two of the bedrooms and it was quite hot in August with the breezes not really helping. The 2 loft bedrooms are too hot to sleep. The owner needs to invest in central air and do some updating. There were lots of beach, coolers, beach chairs, and towels. The whole place was clean and well equipped. We had a great stay!

The property is beautiful and love that it is steps away from the beach. The only downfall is only a/c in 2 of the bedrooms. House was clean and well maintained.

Cabin feel on the beach

Beautiful beach front stay. Family really enjoyed their time there. Beach supplies really helped out for beach days. Canopy, chairs, snorkel equipment etc. Would definitely come back for a future stay.

Great stay!

We were here to celebrate some milestone anniversaries and birthdays with 8 friends and family. This house was a perfect fit and worked great for our group. The house is very well equipped with everything you could think of. It was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. The beach is great for walking or swimming. As several people mentioned there is a small homeless population in the area and several abandoned cars. One day there appeared to be some tension between two homeless men that appeared a little sketchy but we didn’t have any issues. There are many locals on the beach and they enjoyed the holiday weekend. A little noise after dark with window rattling music but nothing serious and there were all friendly. We would definitely come back!

Perfect house for a large family

The layout of the house allowd privacy and great for the group. very clean and well kept. Road into the house needs serious work. Not easy to find the house which is good and bad. Don't arrive after dark. Great views from the deck.

Family Fun

The house was very comfortable for our ten person extended family. Of all our VRBO vacations, this house was the best stocked with beach equipment, picnic coolers, ice packs, kitchen utensils/cooking gear, and house basics like dishwasher pods, toilet paper, and washing machine soap. Centrally located to both the east shore and north shore attractions. Beach was perfect for boogie boarding. One downside was cars and trucks driving on the beach near the tree.line.

School Choir Trip

We traveled with a 26 student high school choir around Kauai, singing in churches, retirement homes, and community centers. Most of the kids and a few chaperones stayed at Kumu Camp, which is very close proximity to this home. 8 chaperones and 2 students stayed in the house and it was perfect for preparing food for the kids and chaperones at the camp. We were la very short walking distance to them and able to deliver food easily. Check-in was super easy. The house gets warm during mid-day, but the breeze cools it during the evenings and mornings if you keep the fan running. The view of the ocean from the deck is phenomenal! The owners are extremely quick to respond and very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the great memories!!

Excellent location next to an awesome beach

The house is older and wonderfully rustic but well appointed. Very spacious with plenty of room for 10-12 depending if some folks can double up. The large deck with views overlooking the beach and ocean is spectacular. Beach access couldn’t be easier too. Finding the driveway can be tricky, look for a a black iron gate at the end of a concrete wall. The driveway is narrow so large vehicles might be a problem but it makes the parking area very private. We had such a wonderful week, will consider this house again in the future.

Outdated house with impossible curtains

Great home in a residential neighborhood. The house itself is outdated but comfortable. My only complaint is the window treatments. They are almost impossible to utilize, the wooden rods are too large for the metal grommets and therefore the curtains do not move along the rod and make it really hard to actually get privacy.

Awesome view and access to Anahola Beach. So much interior and exterior space to utilize. Lots of beach gear, lots of kitchen stuff, lots of beds and bathrooms. Excellent experience!

The location is absolutely perfect. I enjoyed the beautiful sunrise on the back porch every morning. Beach is a few steps away. We were in the water everyday .

Beautiful setting, close to many activities

This is a great house for a family gathering or group of friends. It's large and well equipped. The view is spectacular. The beach is lovely with a tidal river that allows for calmer swimming or paddling just up the beach. The yard is full of exotic birds, and monarch butterflies, and yes the Hawaiian bird-chickens. A note: There are vehicles allowed on the beach. Mostly the local surfers, but they drive carefully, and there are not many. It didn't bother us. The Dockins are great hosts, and were very communicative though our reservation and stay.
