Lake & Oaks Hideaway- Hidden Cabin on Private Lake

Relax with the whole family in this newly renovated beautiful retreat in the woods on private lake point.

Sip coffee on the second story patio with a nearly 360 view of the private lake, where you will see ducks and geese, as well the occasional bald eagle or swan. Enjoy a walk in the woods, and don't be surprised to see deer out front.

Want to fish? Throw out a line along the nearly 2,000 feet of coastline along the peninsula or make the 10 minute drive to Rend Lake.

The cabin is fully equipped with housewares: microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher, ironing board, stove, washer, dryer and fridge. Towels and linens are included.

Our stay at lake and oaks was wonderful. The location of the house was nice, private, and peaceful. Fishing the lake was an added bonus. The house was clean and welcoming and we really didn't want to leave when the time came. We were close to Rend Lake for extra fishing and drove down to Garden of the Gods, Cave in rock, and giant city state park for a day trip. Communication with the host was easy and she answered any questions we had quickly, even checked in on us after some bad weather had passed through. The whole stay was a wonderful experience and we really hope to return someday.

We’ve stayed here 4 times now. It’s so peaceful nobody to bother us. Town is close with great food at the Anchor Grille. Fishing was great they were really biting this time of year! Sure would like to get a boat on that water! Hopefully someday. Thanks for everything Shalan!

Wonderful retreat

Morning on the balcony was amazing: coffee book sunrise birds while everyone else slept. The property itself was very clean & well cared for. Were definitely thinking about re-booking in the future.

Quiet and tons of nature to see!!!

Bring your pole and fish off of our roughly 2000 feet of shoreline!

Lake & Oaks hideaway is also a great, quiet spot for bikes. The private rock/gravel driveway is approximately 1/2 long, which leads to a shared driveway of about the same length and country roads.
