Small, simply decorated and newly remodeled (2023), this home will provide you with all the basics you need for your stay.

The space
This very clean and simple house can meet your needs whether you are stopping through for a one night stay, planning a hunting/fishing trip or exploring Southern Illinois - it will work for you !

**If you will be using the futon during your stay**
1. It is very firm
2. We do have a memory foam topper available if you mention that you will use the futon : )

Loved this little house. We used it as a stopping point on a longer trip. The host has done a great job of putting together a welcoming place, it felt like coming home after our long drive!

Perfect getaway with thoughtful touches

Check in was seamless, property was clean and adorably decorated. Thoughtful touches all around the house and it smelled amazing inside! Definitely recommend this place!

Very Clean and convenient to Rend Lake or Mt Vernon

I had a conference in Mt Vernon. We chose to stay here instead of the hotel for the comfort and proximity to Rend Lake where we biked on Saturday. The cottage was very clean and reasonably comfortable. The host was responsive from the get go - didn't need her - she just responded right away when I inquired about checking in. Instructions for everything were clearly spelled out in the binder and on notecards. Lots of little niceties.

Just perfect!

This was just a quick overnight stop for us as we traveled back to TN from MN. It was perfect for 3 adults. I accidentally locked us out when we went to dinner. Tracy not only responded immediately but was there to unlock the door within minutes! She was friendly and understanding of my mistake. The house itself was VERY clean and very well stocked with basics. We appreciated the availability of coffee, tea, bottled water and even snacks! We will be booking this again in the fall when I return north for a visit. Highly recommend this location and this host.

Little house

Perfect place for 2-3 people. Super Comfortable. Really felt at home. There was snacks, and coffee provided by owner, along with everything you need to cook a meal, and relax. Definitely loved this place, and I will come back for sure.

Weekend Wedding

The “Liitle House” was exactly as advertised. It is cozy and comfortable and meets all the needs for a weekend stay. . .that’s why we’ve stayed there multiple times! It is updated perfectly to fit the Bonnie Village Vibe! We should know because we live just down the road. Tracy and Justin are excellent hosts with great small town politeness and friendliness. We highly recommend the “Little House” if you have “Big Expectations!”
