Cozy and Serene Two Bedroom Cottage on the Lake

Begin to unwind in this calm, stylish space with extra large picture windows. The cottage is located on Pleasant Hill Lake, and it is a perfect getaway. Enjoy a beautiful lake view and a campfire at night! Just a few minutes from Mohican State Park with great hikes, gorgeous scenery, wonderful photo opportunities, unique dining and local wineries. The space has 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and one full bath. The open floor plan includes the kitchen/dining/living area.

THE SPACE:
The cottage is located in a private boat club neighborhood. It’s generally quiet except for summer weekends. Most of the neighbors are long time owners who enjoy the quiet and privacy, but are very friendly. We are just a short drive to all of Mohican and Pleasant Hill. We’re about 10 minutes from Perrysville, 15 minutes from Loudonville, and 25 minutes from Mansfield.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests can access ALL areas of the rental space. You’ll need a car to get around the area as there is no public transportation. In the winter, you MUST have a 4 wheel drive car/truck - in order to access the driveway. The road to the cabin is a small, gravel steep road. We are putting up reflector lights, and we can guide you in if needed. But the road is a challenge, especially late at night if you have never been there.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
The cabin has an electric fireplace on the wall. The Wi-Fi is a mobile hotspot that is available for guests. In the winter you MUST have an all-wheel drive vehicle to access the cabin.

Also be aware that because this cottage is part of a private boat club, the lake access belongs to the boat club and is unfortunately off limits to guests. Public access is available on the other side of the lake, or if you just want to walk to the shore you can follow the creek through the woods directly across from our cottage down to the shoreline, but there’s not a true path (this section of woods is public land). **PLEASE DO NOT WALK DOWN PAST OUR STEPS IN THE DIRECTION OF THE BOAT CLUB AREA. THAT AREA IS COMPLETELY OFF LIMITS TO NON OWNERS, AND YOU AND WE MAY BOTH GET IN TROUBLE. You may walk in the woods up the road you came in on, but not toward the open yard, docks, or other cottages in the neighborhood as these are all private roads. Sorry! We’ve had to emphasize this because of past guests breaking the rules, and us getting complaints from neighbors. Please help us be good neighbors.**

This cottage is on the perfect spot for visiting Malabar farms, Mohican state park, pleasant hill lake and loudonville! It has everything you need and great views! Maja is very accommodating and helpful. Super easy check in and check out!

The property has a wonderful view of the lake and the Pleasant Hill marina. The kitchen was well equipped,and the bedrooms were comfortable.The host was very informative and was sure to alert us about the steep driveway, which was a bit awkward in a van, but worked out. The back deck is very nice with a firepit and comfortable furniture

Amazing stay

Maja made it easy to find the cottage. Her and her husband Dwayne made sure we felt welcomed and help us with anything we needed. They gave great recommendations for food, hiking/entertainment. We had an amazing weekend and couldnt thank them enough. We can't wait to visit again. 10 out of 5 stars. All around a wonderful experience!

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay! The location was great for our needs. We were wanting to spend time on the Mohican trails. The home was perfect for my husband, myself and two girls. It was clean, felt cozy and had everything we needed. We were made aware of the steep drive and yes, it is steep. 4 wheel drive is a must. While we were there the deck was under construction, which wasn’t ideal, but understand how repairs are necessary at times. We would stay here again. The communication was excellent and the owners went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and arrived safely!

A perfect cottage to relax and unwind

From the booking to the checkout the host was phenomenal and the communication was excellent. There was not a single question that was not answered by the host in her communication. The cottage was charming and spotless, well stocked, and the view was amazing. So relaxing and this venue provided the perfect getaway for our annual sisters trip. The cottage was convenient to anything you may want to do during your stay. I guarantee you won't be disappointed and you won't find a more gracious host!!

Cozy Cottage by the Lake

A complete package with very friendly and detail oriented on site host. Easy to reach and promp response when you have any questions before, during and after your stay. Beautifully appointed cottage with a beachy theme, all the comforts of home and more. You'd be hard pressed to find yourself needing someting they hadn't already thought of to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Located close to plenty of fun and intersting entertainment for all ages. Highly recommend this experience for your next vacation.

Beautiful and quiet

Love this place!

We will definitely be back again. The house is adorable. The view is amazing. House decorator is beautiful and house is very clean. Had a very homey feeling. Communication with manager was excellent. She made sure our needs were met and explained everything before hand making things easier. We definitely would like to come back for a longer stay next time!

Trail Race Weekend

This a wonderfully sized space for a couple of friends, or friend group, to stay. The lake view is excellent, and for a couple of friends that were doing a trail race event at Camp Nuhop, we couldn't beat the proximity. It made for a fantastic set up after the race to be able to relax and a short walk to the Mohican Lodge for dinner made for a great evening with friends.

We were grateful for the detailed directions from the owner, without them it would have been hard to find. The place was clean, comfortable and cozy! We’ll be back for sure. If you’re going there, print maps for driving around the area. There are quite a few spots that you’ll lose signal. It’s a nice place to disconnect for a weekend!

Family Getaway Weekend

Great views, clean and well-decorated house, nice and relaxing, driving access to Mohican sites. For our purposes, it was great. Driveway is steep and difficult to maneuver to get in and out, required 3 point turns and the top and bottom of drive.

Peaceful and relaxing

Such a beautiful and relaxing get away! The hosts are very responsive and have a wonderful house tucked away in the woods! They have all kinds of extra touches that make you feel at home (keurig coffee, bathroom amenities, games, water, etc). We had a wonderful time; it was very peaceful and relaxing!!

Girls Weekend

My friend and I stayed here for a one night girls trip and it was great. The location is very convenient to hiking trails, Malabar Farms, and the lodge. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and having the lake view.

The place was super clean! It was nice to have a washer & dryer there, the bowl of "forgot to pack" toiletries, firewood and many more extras. Maja and DeWayne are on point with communicating and recommending places to go, see and eat! Was a wonderful get away.
