Mountain Top Privacy with Spectacular Views & Sunsets -Pet Friendly

Welcome to enchanting Pritchard's Perch! Whether it is for a weekend, a week, or an extended month long stay you will adore our lovely log cabin on 12 acres in the Nantahala National Forest. Settle into a light-filled and airy two-story 2 BR, 1.5 BA home with cozy interiors, vaulted ceilings, and panoramic mountain views. Unplug from life's bustle on the attached screened porch and deck which provide ample space to dine, relax, read, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
You will find the cabin comfortably furnished and includes everything you need including all the little necessities in our fully equipped kitchen, baths and bedrooms. Enjoy the benefits of mountain life which provides exceptional privacy, rejuvenating fresh air, birdsong and pristinely sweet well water.
The highlight of your experience will be the outdoor living on the spacious deck and screened in porch. We provide a complete charcoal grill set up, loungers, dining set and several new deck chairs to enjoy the pleasures of living in nature.
We hope you will enjoy a “retreat from the world” while at Pritchard's Perch. Due to our rural location we do not have Internet. You should however, be able to use your phone as a mobile hotspot. There is DirecTV programming available for your enjoyment.

Amazing view and house

Perfect house for our family of 4. View off back porch is amazing - we spent each morning and evening soaking it in. Located an easy 15 minute drive from downtown Highlands and near many hikes and waterfalls. Lani, the host, was very responsive and even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Will absolutely stay here again.

perfect rest stop

The promo was not as good as reality. Great spaces to live in, both inside and out.Check in was a problem because the code to the key box did not free up the box. No one to help us. Got lucky and finally got it open.

Amazing view!

The cabin was great for a very quiet, beautiful stay. The view off the deck was incredible—not one man-made structure within 180 degree Mountain View! Great sunset viewing every night! I would stay again!!

absolutely outstanding view!

My girlfriend and I chose the late-October dates that we did because we wanted to see fall colors in the mountains. We weren't disappointed! The view from the deck is outstanding and we were delighted to watch the colors change all week. The cabin itself is clean, spacious, and comes with everything we needed for our stay.

What a view!

Wonderful view! Sun set durectly out from the balcony and the sunsets were spectacular! Only complaint was the loud refrigerator. Needs repair or an upgrade to make this a perfect escape place.

Amazing Views

Life has a way of happening and despite the numerous curveballs that came up before/during our trip the communication with Lani was unmatched. While we only got to enjoy the cabin for about 20 minutes I can tell you that watching the sunset there is unmatched. You won’t regret going to sleep to that view. We truly appreciate Lani and all that she did to make us comfortable.

Incredible View

First, our communication with Lani the property manager was wonderful. She was extremely responsive and provided everything we needed for a seamless check-in. As for the property...super quiet. Extremely private and yet just 12 minutes to Highlands. But best of all...the view! Great views are hard to come by but this property has views that are out of this world! We spent most evenings sipping wine, cooking on the grill and enjoying the mountain beauty. It dropped below 30 degrees 2 nites but the space heaters kept the home warm and cozy. Would definitely book again. minutes t

the view!

Nice house off the beaten path. Comfortable furnishings and everything we needed in the kitchen. Although the house lacks central heat we used the provided space heaters and were very comfortable. The VIEW! Oh my gosh, there are no words. So beautiful and ever changing. The only sounds were the birds and the crickets and the breeze blowing through the trees. At night you can sit on the huge deck and watch the stars and satellites fly by, so dark. Even saw a shooting star!

A little piece of heaven

I chose this location based on the view for a weekend away to relax, unplug, and unwind, and boy oh boy, it did not disappoint! The view is breathtaking, the cabin was lovely and clean and charmingly decorated, the location was far enough away from civilization without being too far, and it was amazingly peaceful and relaxing - exactly what I needed! Lani was a very attentive co-host and every need was considered and preemptively prepared for for visitors. My personal recommendation is to take timelapse videos of the morning mists, the clouds, and/or the sunsets from the back deck - the vista is absolutely perfect for it! One thing I would point out is that the mountain roads to get here are very twisty and turny. This was by no means an issue for me, but if you have a pet or a passenger who gets car sick, come prepared.

Pritchard's Perch....Quiet in the Mountains

We stayed at this property for 11 days in May 2023. We gave them just a couple of days notice before our arrival. The place was immaculate! So very clean! and so Many amenities were at the property! Fresh linens, towels and blankets, a drip coffee pot with filters and coffee, we had a brand new charcoal grill along with charcoal, utensils, plates, glasses, even fresh ice cubes!!! The owner and property manager have thought of everything to help your stay start off successful. The property manager was also easy to contact should questions arise. The view is speclacular!!! Ever changing. We really enjoyed our stay in the area visiting with local friends and trout fishing. We also enjoyed the scenery....Highlands, waterfalls, the river, the views, all so surreal from a couple from Ohio. The driveway may seem intimidating to some, but we drove our minivan and had no problems. Stairs up to the main floor, you will live on the deck. Not much of a yard for young kids, but our two furbabies were allowed to stay. A perfect place for a romantic getaway, or to visit the area. There is no noise from people. Only a babbling stream to listen to down the mountain. Very Peaceful. If you are still contemplating about staying at Pritchard's Point.....Just Do It!!! You will not forget your stay.

This cozy warm cabin atop the mountain with breathtaking views especially at sunset was perfect for my husband and I. The location is within an hours drive to Bryson City, Cherokee, Brevard and other places of interest. The host, Lani, was very easy to reach and helpful. The cabin was well stocked with what we needed.Please take the advice of the host and arrive before dark. The short gravel road to the cabin is well maintained but best maneuvered before dark especially the first time. We loved our stay and will return.

Loved it!

This is such a beautiful place and it was just exactöy what we were hoping for. Clean, well equipped, very comfy , sofa and chair, quiet - and the view! only 15-20 min. to Highlands. Lani answered promptly and was very friendly. If you want to watch movies, bring DVDs, there aren’t many tv programs. But you really just need to sit outside and watch the ever changing sky and mountain panorama - Highly recommended!
