¡WAIALEA BAY HOGAR! Pasos de una playa de clase mundial. CAMAS DE AIRE ACONDICIONADO

Esta casa recientemente actualizada se encuentra en una de las mejores playas de la isla. Las casas están a unos pasos de la playa de arena pero tienen una vegetación madura para darle privacidad desde la playa pública. La casa tiene cariñosos nombres. Se cree que Kolea (el nombre hawaiano del chorlito dorado del Pacífico) ha estado migrando entre Alaska y Hawai durante al menos 120,000 años, volviendo al mismo lugar año tras año. Esta es una de las cuatro casas en este complejo familiar (ver también Honu, Ehu Kai y Ulu Niu), Kolea representa continuidad, con muchas familias que regresan a ella cada año, por una buena razón: es un hallazgo raro: una casa de vacaciones frente a la playa a un precio asequible. Ubicado en medio de la sombra refrescante de una colección de palma de coco que era una vez el más grande del estado, patio de hierba de Kolea es casi un acre de tamaño-grande para los niños. A pocos pasos se encuentra la playa de arena blanca de Waialea Bay, donde podrás nadar, bucear, hacer snorkel y tomar el sol mientras disfruta del honu (tortugas marinas), manta rayas y la actividad de ballenas invierno.
La casa de tres dormitorios, dos baños y dos pisos, construida en 1969 y recientemente renovada en 2017, ofrece una cómoda vida junto a la playa con brisas frescas, comidas al aire libre, vistas al océano y espectaculares puestas de sol. Amazing!

This home was absolutely perfect for our family and made our stay even better than we imagined. The view from the back porch and easy access to the beautiful beach were a favorite! The house had all the comforts of home…well stocked for cooking, easy to use amenities such as TV, washer/dryer, plenty of linens and comfy beds. Mary was extremely attentive and made sure our stay was perfect. We happily recommend this wonderful home!

Perfect 2nd Stay - Longtime Repeat Clients

We have also stayed at least three times at the Ehu Kai house, four times at the Honu house, and once at the Blue Makai house. As always, the house was perfect and the 2Papayas crew was friendly & helpful. Staying at Beach 69 with 2Papayas is our go-to relaxing vacation. The beach is stunning, with mild to no surf, snorkeling, and plenty of shade. Walking out the front gate and directly onto the beach is an amazing feeling every time you do it. The upstairs lanai overlooks the ocean, but still feels private from the beach because of the vegetation surrounding the property. Kolea House is perfectly set up for families or groups traveling together. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and everything is spotless. My favorite feature of staying with 2Papayas is their dedication to using unscented cleaning and laundry products. Vacation rentals often reek of highly scented cleaning products, air fresheners, scented trash bags, dryer sheets, etc. At Kolea House, and at the other 2Papayas properties we've stayed at, all you smell is the scent of the plumeria and gardenia being carried on the ocean breeze. We are booked to come back to 2Papayas paradise in six months.

Having A/C as an option in all bedrooms and LR was great but we mostly opened the windows and used the plentiful ceiling fans to enjoy the warm air. The location is prime and the view the best on the beach. We love the beach but also enjoyed being just minutes from both the Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani resorts and the beaches & amenities offered there. We look forward to returning to Kolea.

Beautiful Waialea Stay

It's a lovely house in a great location, very close to the south part of the beach. The large lanai was great, with beautiful views, and we ate all our meals out there. The house is very well maintained, the kitchen has great appliances and everything you could need (one exception: no champagne glasses!), beds are comfy, linens of excellent quality. Plenty of fans & screens meant we never needed the A/C, though I'm sure it's nice to have in the summer. We really appreciated the large yard with loungers, and the fence and gate to the beach being "hidden in plain sight" so we had no concerns about beach goers accidentally wandering in. A few of our favorite things: Kauai shrimp from Da Fish House, chicken pies & mac nut tarts from the Hawaii Tart Company (at Waimea Farmers Market), steak from the Waimea Butcher, local butter from Kohala Grown Market in Hawi, lunch at Bamboo in Hawi, dinner at Napua at sunset, the Arts Co-op in Kapa'au, Nalu Builds in Hilo and, most of all, 2 Papayas' great service. We've booked with them for over a decade and have never been disappointed. Thanks to all of you for another great stay!

Wonderful

We had a great trip. Everything was wonderful. The view to the water was my favorite. I loved having the windows opened and hearing the ocean. We rented a kayak for the week. We rented bikes for the week. We used the kitchen for almost all our meals. The snorkeling from the beach in front was great we saw lots of fish, an octopus and turtles. At night we went out to the rock pools and could see brittle stars and all kinds of stuff. Lots of different kinds of birds. Mary from 2 papayas is great. We didn’t have any issues but she was available if we did. We had a question during our stay and she responded very quickly. I would love to stay again.
