Lakeside Retreat at Lake Weir

Come and enjoy the lake life! Just far enough in the country to get real peace and quiet and enjoy the stars at night. Close enough to restaurants to enjoy a night out. Nearby Ocala National Forest and several natural springs offer a variety of outdoor adventures. If you enjoy mountain biking or horseback riding, there are amazing places to do both! If you like to fish you are also in luck, an eight pound large mouth bass was recently hauled in right off our dock!

This amazing lake front property has room for the whole family. Measuring at over 4000 square feet of interior space and more than 900 square feet of screened porch, everyone will be able to spread out and relax. In addition each guest room has access to its own bathroom allowing each set of guests to retreat into their own private space when the time comes to recharge for the next adventure. The boat house over the water is another enormous space where you might just spend all your time. Peaceful and breezy with seating for 20 including hanging chairs and a hammock. Bring your boat and anchor right off the sandy beach. Over 140 feet of sandy beach lakefront so you can enjoy many different types of water and sandy activities! Enjoy a beach bonfire in the fire pit and roast some s'mores! At meal time you will find yourself gathering in the gigantic gourmet kitchen and making memories together or possibly making all your meals outside on the Weber grill and Blackstone griddle.

When you need to recharge, each bedroom has its own flat screen television with access to Netflix, Prime Video, and more than 140 cable TV channels and music. All bedding and towels are premium quality to make you feel like you are truly on vacation. We provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience.

We have a full size clothes washer and dryer on site for your use and we provide laundry detergent for your use. You will find toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, and garbage bags. You should be able to show up and find all the basic needs to start your visit. If you have any special questions or requests feel free to contact us after booking and we may be able to arrange it for you.

If you’re thinking of booking this house, do it!!

This home is gorgeous and just as pictured! Plenty of room for all guests! We loved the beach style entry to the lake and hanging out on the dock. The house had kayaks for us to use also! Couldn’t have asked for a more convenient way to vacation on the lake. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit Lake Weir!

Family in town for funeral

We had 10 family members in town and needed a place with private bathrooms for each. This home gave us ample space, ample seating in several areas and 5 bedrooms with their own bathroom - plus a community powder room for use when in the kitchen and family room. The kitchen was a great place to hang out at the bar and at the table. It looks like they brought in a bunch of sand and have a beautiful spot facing the water. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts left necessities like paper towel, garbage bags and dish soap - a nice plus in the rental community. The owner was very attentive and willing to help with any and every question we had. A great host for certain. One thing to be careful of are the wood floors - they can be slippery, outside of that, we have no complaints and had a wonderful visit even though the it would have been nice to be there under different circumstances. Definitely worth renting. Thanks Ray!!!

Lots of Room in this beautiful home

Our family (3 sibling families) enjoyed the weekend in this great home. The lake is great and there are sandy white beaches for the kids to play. Lots of boat trailer parking on the property as well. Highly recommend for large families.

Breathtaking Getaway!

Our host, Ray, was most responsive. The property and home five star! We enjoyed plenty of space for our party of 8 to spread out for quiet moments on the many hammocks, an Adirondack chair at the waters edge or morning coffee/sunrises and sunsets on the grand screened porch. Very quiet. Each couple commented on the comfort of the beds and loved having a private bathroom. We had tons of family game time, room for many cooks (even dancing) in the more than spacious kitchen, frisbee on the lawn and a swim at the end of the dock… We found this property to be one of a kind in the area. Furnishings and appliances all in new condition. Property very well maintained.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

This home is an absolute treasure. We came down for a fishing tournament held in Leesburg, and it was perfect for our 2 families. Very impressed with how clean everything was - and the kitchen was stocked for a chef's dream. The lake views of sunrise and sunset were memorable as well as the 7.5 lb bass we caught off the deck! We hope to return again soon - as we fell in love with Ocklawaha and the surrounding areas. Communication with the homeowner was easy and always informative. We will be back!

Lots of room-beautiful spot

We needed a larger place to accommodate our family gathering. The house worked great. Great kitchen to feed a big crew. Lots of seating. Lake spot really beautiful. We wish we could have enjoyed the inside fire place in the mornings but we had a blast at the beach fire pit at night.

Such a beautiful place!

Ray was a wonderful host! He communicated the check in process very clearly. The house was in excellent condition and we had such a great time. The view of the lake is absolutely phenomenal. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to come together with family.

Beautiful and peaceful location!

Almost perfect stay at this beautiful lake house. The owner is a top notch guy, going above what a normal host would do. Our only complaints, and they are minor, is the internet only based TV and the cooking pans. This time of year, we wanted to watch some football and could not because everything was app based and we don’t have a Hulu Live subscription. Pan aren’t non-stick either and were a pain to cook on then clean. The lake was so peaceful that it far outweighed the minor negatives. You’ll not regret staying here!!!

Thanksgiving getaway

We had an amazing time over Thanksgiving break! Enjoyed cooking in the large well equipped kitchen! Home was very spacious and we enjoyed the outside fire pit and beautiful sunsets!

Favorite vacation yet!

My family had the best time staying here! The house is beautiful and the lake is amazing! Ray was a great host, the refrigerator/freezer wasn't working right when we arrived and he come over with a mini fridge, new freezer, and countertop ice maker. The bedrooms are very spacious, perfect for our big family! Great location on the lake, and the dock is a great asset. We will most definitely be back next year!

Amazing relaxing vacation spending time with those you love

We had an opportunity to enjoy this amazing property for 4 days in August. It is unlike anything else in the rental market place. The very large private dock with stereo speakers, ceiling fans and lots of outdoor seating made it the perfect hangout spot right on the water! And the huge screened in porch with its expansive water views was the perfect place to relax with morning coffee, afternoon refreshments or an evening watching the beautiful changing colors of the sky. An amazing relaxing getaway. The photos provided are exactly what you will find when you arrive. Thank you to the friendly helpful owners!

Nice Place with a Nervous Owner

We met the property owner; Ray is a nice guy, just a nervous first-time rental property owner. The property was lovely and needed some maintenance, but that is not unexpected with property this age, nothing too major, pressure wash, and touch-up painting. Septic system and A/C. The property owner did a courtesy trash pickup on Tuesday, stating the septic was full and to limit usage if possible and then return to the Property on Friday after the lawn care mowed Friday morning to have the system pumped. So we were a little surprised to learn that Ray stayed the night on-site to meet the septic people, and Upon leaving, the system still had not been emptied. IMO septic system can’t keep up - with the rainy weather and 5.5 bathrooms, washer, and dishwasher. We had nine adults and four children (2 in diapers); we did have daily visitors, some local friends and family enjoyed the lake with us Tuesday through Friday, and some family had to stay with relatives nearby. We were disappointed to learn that this location will double in price next year (we booked August 2020 with the previous owners); this might not be the place if you are looking to find a yearly rental.

Beautiful lakefront stay!

My family and I had a great stay at this home on the lake! The kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and kayaking and the adults enjoyed happy hour on the patio with a gorgeous view! We also visited the many springs in Ocala National Forest and would recommend this property to anyone looking to connect with nature!

Fabulous Lakefront

This is a beautiful property with all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Everything was in perfect condition for our stay. What a great time our family shared with an abundance of boating,fishing, skiing, hydro sliding, wakeboarding and tubing!
