About this space
Family and pet-friendly with gentle slope to the water. Old Southern Lake House sleeps 10 in our 3 bedroom/2.5 bath home. 3 king beds and 4 twin beds.

The 2-acre property allows plenty of room for hammocks to be hung in trees, yard games, and socializing on the back porch or down by the boat dock.

Cedar Grove Marina is across the cove and allows for ease of launching watercraft, refueling, and boat rentals. Bubba Brews and Beach Island Resort & Marina is less than 3 miles away.

We all loved this house and property. It has all the amenities and more than you would expect. The bedding was exceptional. And lots of toys in the shed. My concern going forward is that the way the dock was tied up, there is no way to bring a 2nd boat...which can be a problem if you want more than 4 people in the house. This could be a deal breaker.

Awesome Home

We loved our stay at this property. It's located right on the water and a stones throw away from the marina for fuel and launching the boat. The paddle boards were a hit with our kids and being able to swim right off the doc was great. The house is fully stocked with anything you may need and the appliances are top notch. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great stay without the million steps to the water. The gradual slope was easy for all of us. We only stayed 3 nights on the water but all agreed a few more would have been perfect. If we come back to this location- we will stay here!

Beautiful Sterling Home

Wonderful lake house

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Southern Lake House. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. Very clean and homey feeling. Enjoyed both porches and the dock. Katie is a wonderful host and very responsive. Will definitely keep it on our list to return.

Perfect Lake Home Vacay

Perfect home for lake vacay full of fun, comfort and good food! This was perfect setup for our families. Everything is well stocked and they didn’t skimp. Bedding (sheets, comforters, pillows and mattress all premium) towels, lake towels… all great quality and lots of them. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need and more… and it’s good quality stuff. I appreciate they have some of the basic condiments, spices, soaps etc. there… it makes me crazy some places don’t even have salt and pepper available. Appliances all very nice and great working condition. We ate most of our meals out on back porch, so pretty and a peaceful view for morning coffee. The home is spacious and furnished with perfection to make you feel at home with soft blankets for lounging, games and decor… but in no way does it feel cluttered. Easy walk to the dock. Dock is in a no wake area, so it’s very calm and perfect for floating/swimming. Plenty of space as we kept our speed boat and 2 jet skis at dock. They even have paddle boards, some floats, life jackets and best thing is wagon to pull your coolers/ heavy stuff back and forth from house. Quiet neighborhood! Owner was so nice and VERY responsive. We did have an issue with the AC that was a result of a storm that passed through. We called them late on a Saturday night and they had someone at the house within an hour and it was fixed! It really was perfect setup!

Wonderful place!!

This home was beautiful and had everything! I can’t stress this enough… everything!!!! There were plenty of towels for bathing and for the lake. Lots of room and beds were so comfortable. We rented a boat and used the dock and the kids enjoyed the paddle boat and boards. Our puppies got to be with us and we enjoyed that so much not having to board them. So glad we found this home. Want to have a lovely stay on the lake? Look no further for this is the best! Will stay again!!

GREAT PLACE!

We absolutely loved this house. Very cute and super clean. I could tell the host cared about our stay - very nice beds and bedding and she included necessities needed in the bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, etc.). Towels were neatly folded and other little things that made a huge difference. Highly recommend!

Very lovely property

House looks new on the inside. We enjoyed our time on the dock/swimming and the back deck as well. This place has all amenities for a wonderful time.
