This beautiful log cabin was perfect. The host had put up a Xmas tree which was a huge benefit. The view was amazing. Great fireplace with lots of wood for fires. I wish my kitchen at home had all the amenities that this kitchen had.

Our time at the cabin was perfect! Check in was easy and the accommodations were splendid. We loved the setting - the Olsen Barn and Meadow were beautiful and the deck overlooked a lovely view of them and the lake. We spent days at Lake Almanor boating and swimming, hiked Bumpass Hell and Shadow Lake at Lassen National Park and spent lots of time playing games and hanging out together. We hunted for meteors on the deck and used the bbqs to make delicious food. The kitchen had everything we needed and the location was convenient to town, grocery stores, bait stores. We found the Hamilton Branch fishing access point and caught over 15 trout (we only took five home and released the rest). It was a perfect vacation mostly due to the great accommodations. Patti was super receptive and kind. Thank you!

Perfect for us before we got our lake house rental. Great location and beautiful setting!Scenery was amazing with the meadows and Olsen Barn, and lake in the distance. House was convenient and adequate for kitchen supplies, laundry, bathroom and towels. We enjoyed our stay we will be back next summer.One thing we would suggest, is the ceiling fan in the master bedroom .Thanks for a great stay.

Just Lovely!

This beautiful property was a perfect location for our group of friends and family. The view of the meadow is stunning and we logged most of our time on the deck soaking it in. Air conditioning was a major plus since it happened to be a really hot weekend. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

Lovely Chester home and location

A beautiful location, lovely home, well supplied kitchen, easy to access many local activities, including walking in the adjacent meadow. Our only complaint was that the downstairs beds seemed to be a little soft and that instead of the wooden bench in front of the living room window, a couple of smalls chairs, like the one in the loft, would provide more seating.

One of our best VRBO's

Four of us have been traveling together over 20 years, and most of those have been at VRBOs. This cabin has a great view, is roomy, all things needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds. It is not far from Lassen which was our primary goal for the week. Great hikes, waterfalls, and other natural sites. Chester is also a great little town with xlnt restaurants (Timber and MiCasita Mexican Grill), and xlnt grocery store with walk-in beer cooler (Holiday). Our host was easy to contact and communicate with throughout our stay. There are a few items I will pass on to her separately, but if we ever want to return to that area, we would consider this cabin again.

Lassen family

We love staying here! The cabin is beautiful with views of the lake and mountains. The backyard is the meadow where we take walks and hike to our fishing spots. Being here is the best part of our year and we look forward to it all year long! We love the cabin location, the cleanliness and amenities. Cant wait for next year!

Beautiful house

The property and view is beautiful and the house is brand new, so it’s obviously still well-maintained. The back door was kind of hard to open and close. Really the only sticking point was trying to communicate with the owner/property manager about an early check-in. I asked a few times over several weeks (the last time a couple weeks before) and never got a straight answer other than “let’s figure that out closer to your dates.” Even just a, “ I won’t be able to give you an answer until X number of days before your stay.” would have helped in the planning process as we tried to coordinate several people’s travel plans. Then, we didn’t hear back from them about it until the last day of our stay after we had obviously just accepted the regular check in time. They also offered us a late check out about 30 minutes before the original checkout time, but we were already packed up and ready to go at that point. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Everybody was in awe of the house and the view as soon as they walked in and said I did a great job picking the spot.

Favorite vacation rental

This vacation rental has been my favorite so far, out of the 20+ that we have stayed at. Everything was perfect and exactly how I would do it if I had one. Very clean, everything I needed was provided, especially in the kitchen, and everything was in great condition. The cabin itself and the vacation rental was wonderful, and the meadow out the back door is the star of the show. We were able to walk the the pizza place on Main Street but then when you’re back at the house you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere and see grass and lake for miles. We’ve already booked a second trip to take our three kids, they will love the bunk bed and provided games. I also feel very safe letting them play in the yard and meadow.

Mountain House

Due to the slides in the canyon, our work crews had to be relocated to the Quincy side of the canyon. We got ahold of the property managers on a last second location change and the owners were very helpful. Easy to get along with and a clean house to add to it. Thanks again and I would definitely book this location again.

Wonderful Winter Stay

Can't say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was so charming and warm throughout with so much attention to detail. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely stay here again when we visit the Lassen National Park area. I would highly recommend this home if you're wanting a really comfortable place that allows you to feel at home with relative ease.

Spectacular Meadow Log Home

The log home was amazing and the views of the lake were spectacular. Close proximity to grocery store, restaurants and of course Lassen National Park! Rooms were spacious and kitchen well stocked. Highly recommend this place.

Chester cabin

Such a beautiful log cabin to embrace family time. The host was ALWAYS available, friendly, helpful. The cabin was luxurious and very well kept. Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children under 8) and one set of grandparents spent each meal together on the deck grilling and basking in the fall sun, taking in the breathtaking views of Olsen barn/meadow and lake almanore. Short distance to Lassen Volcanic NP where we hiked daily. This is a highly recommended place to stay.

Perfect Cabin Getaway

Very nice cabin with amazing amenities and wonderful view where we could watch the deer every evening. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
