Cozy beachside studio overlooking Lake Superior sits right on the beach. Simple and charming room with log beams, wood floors and big views. Queen size bed looks out at the sun and moon rises, vanity, private bath with shower and toilet. There's a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Located right downtown Grand Marais, you can walk to all the restaurants for meals. Enjoy a beach fire in the evenings, or stream a movie on the free wi-fi. Basic accommodations, but you'll love the quaint charm and unparalleled location.

I would give this unit a 5 star rating if no one is in the upstairs room which we enjoyed one night. The other night we may as well have been sharing the room with the upstairs guest. It is a fun space but if you are noise sensitive I can't recommend.

Stellar location, walking distance to everything in town, including the lighthouse and Artist’s Point. Wake up to the crashing waves of Lake Superior and an amazing view. This was my 2nd stay and I hope to stay again!

Great location at the edge of town and right on artists point with its own little beach area. A bit confused with thinking it would be the upper room vs the lower, but cozy and comfortable. The floorboards from upper were a bit squeeky so some disruption but it was still a very pleasant stay. The shower felt good and the bed was pretty comfortable. We enjoyed walking through the town and relaxing on the beach listening to the waves roll in.

Great place to stay; right in the heart of Grand Marais and on the beach. Perfect location; walkable to everywhere in town and many good restaurants.The place is clean and pretty quiet. As stated in other reviews, you can hear the creaking of the upstairs tenants and some muffled voices, but not after 8 or 9 at night. The best part is that you can open the windows and fall asleep to the waves.

The location of this rental could not have been more perfect. So much to do within walking distance. The place is so much cuter than the photos in the listing. We had a really great time. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is there were a few little issues. The building is 100 years old and there is another rental directly above. The floor is extremely creaky and you can hear the people above when they walk and/or talk. Unfortunately our upstairs neighbors did lots of walking at 6 am on a Saturday morning. The bed is extremely firm. There is only individually wrapped bar soap - no other toiletries. So, make sure you pack those items. The only trash is in the main living area next to the refrigerator. There is not a bathroom trash which is kind of an awkward if you should have sanitary products to throw away. There are 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, and 2 towels - no extras. So, plan accordingly if you feel like you may need extra. Side note - the room does not contain a tv so pack some games. But, if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay and are ok with the basics, this is a great location.

Great location and amazing views of lake superior. Small space but it’s laid out well.Giving 4 stars because there’s essentially no sound barrier between the different units - you hear pretty much everything upstairs. Also never received any responses from the owner for messages sent on the app, so communication could be better. However, check in and check out were well explained on the listing and at the property so we didn’t have any real issues.

Cute little queen bed cabin right on the beach with perfect access to downtown G.M. Comfy bed, large walk in shower, micro, coffee pot, small fridge, no TV tho. Adirondack chairs on the beach. 2 folding chairs for deck would have made it perfect.

Great location

We stay here every time we come to Grand Marais. It’s a perfect spot on the water and right in town so you can walk everywhere. A good place to head out on the paddleboard, have an evening fire, quick walk to shops and restaurants.

This is our 4th time staying here and after having come at least once a year, often twice - in the summer and winter - for over 30 years, this is our favority place to stay. It is "our" little home right on the beach and right in town.

Amazing!

This was absolutely perfect for me and my husband's mini moon! The location was gorgeous, we loved having fires on the beach and waking up to the view of Lake Superior. It's centralized so that we could walk everywhere within Grand Marais. We did hear some noise from the people staying upstairs, but it was minimal and did not impact the enjoyability of our stay whatsoever. Highly recommend staying here!

Grand Marais Beach Bungalow

It's a little rustic, but you can overlook those things pretty easily with the full view of the beach & water through a wall of windows. You have a relatively private beach area with two Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. The village is right out your front door. We would stay there again.

Great little getaway

This was the perfect little spot to stay for my Grand Marais solo-cation. The location and view can’t be beat! It’s definitely a bare-bones stay, but that’s all I really needed for this trip. I’d definitely stay here again!
