Welcome to our charming 3-bedroom, 2 bath cottage in the picturesque town of Nemo, SD, located in the heart of the Black Hills. Our property is easily accessible without any gravel road to worry about and is located just off of Nemo Road a half mile south of the town of Nemo. This 1100 square foot retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature.

As retired Nemo residents we made arrangements for our son, daughter-in-law and four grandkids to stay at the cabin. As it was during the Thanksgiving holiday it was important to us that they would have a fun, comfortable and peaceful stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated and well furnished for their family! They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we had fun at the Nemo Mercantile for Turkey Tailgate the night before Thanksgiving and again on Friday night before they left Saturday morning. Another bonus? Everything works in the cabin!

Everything was perfect! Privacy, Mountain View, spacious accommodations, amenities were all exactly as listed. Really enjoyed the porch deck. Wouldn’t change a thing.

We had a very good stay at this 3 bedroom cabin. It was very clean and located close enough for all the places we wanted to ride. We especially enjoyed the deck in the mornings and evenings as the valley the house is in is beautiful. The communication with the owner Heidi was excellent and she and Casey were very accommodating.

We loved this rental property!! We came to Nemo to ride our UTV's, there was plenty of parking for our three full sized trucks, each with a 14 foot trailer. The property was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The three beds were very comfy. The little town of Nemo had everything we needed; gas, a restaurant and bar and lots of friendly people. The owners were very responsive and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The BEST part was the covered porch, it faces a meadow with horses and cattle. We sat there every evening on their nice patio chairs, lit the fire table and listened to the cattle MOOOO. We would love to come back.

Perfect location, well appointed, very comfortable!

This cabin in Nemo was the perfect location and setting. 30 minutes from Deadwood, Rapid City and Sturgis. We loved the front deck, where we sat to watch the deer come to feed in the meadow every evening. Clean, well appointed, very comfortable, so relaxing! Satellite TV and internet worked great in this remote area.

Perfect setting

Great place to stay, right on the edge of Nemo and just across the road from a forest service road. Easy trail access, would definitely stay here again. Clean, comfortable and a wonderful view of the beautiful valley and hills.

Family vacation!

Absolutely love this place! The view was amazing! The family loved getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city! We were close enough to everything that we wanted to see. From the Badlands and Mt Rushmore all the way to Devils Tower. Star gazing was a favorite for us at this location. We'll definitely be back in the future!!

Excellent, relaxing vacation!

The house and the hosts are excellent! The house is very clean and beautifully appointed. The hosts were very quick to solve a small problem with a coffee pot. They went above and beyond our expectations. Our vacation was very relaxing and really lovely.

Cabin in Nemo SD

The cabin was very clean and very comfortable. You were thoughtful in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The front porch was a perfect spot for morning coffee and a glass of wine to enjoy the end of our day!

Beautiful place to stay

This was an extremely clean place with wonderful decorations, and everything that a vacationing family would need. The quietness of staying just outside of Nemo in this secluded sanctuary is exactly what we were looking for and this place exceeded our expectations . Loved the outdoor deck and patio! The owners were very easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and Cozy

The property was very clean and cozy. The covered deck/patio was a great area for all to enjoy outside. Decor through out the cottage was very cute. The owners are very kind and accommodating. The location of this property is centrally located to the black hills area yet out of the hustle and bustle when you want peace and quiet. I highly recommend this property.

Great place!

First time being in South Dakota and we wanted to do all the sight seeing and this property was a great place to be. It is out of the way for most of the popular towns but we didn’t mind. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and we used the propane fireplace for s’mores at night. It was also nice to have a door in the master bedroom to be able to keep open at night for a cool breeze.

Black Hills Trip

We had an excellent stay at this Nemo, SD VRBO…In fact, the three of us all concluded the very best experience and peaceful/all around VRBO property compared to others. A peaceful setting, outstanding views, super clean, super cute/comfortable and welcoming Honestly felt like home away from home. Hosts were also so helpful, friendly and just nice folks. A “five star” stay for certain 🌟
