Our classic cottage has beautiful expansive views of the Potomac River. Wake up to stunning sunrises & enjoy coffee in our screened front porch, or sit & relax on our own private dock.

Our home is equipped with comfortable linens, a fully stocked kitchen, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, & a secluded outdoor dining area with a gas grill, fire pit & fenced yard.

We are just blocks away from the public beach, downtown shops, boardwalk, and restaurants. Golf cart rentals can be reserved thru local companies.

Coastal décor cottage. No smoking on the property.

Easy to walk, ride bikes or rent a golf cart around town. Free parking in front of the cottage along the street.
Other things to note-
Our little house is the quintessential cottage of Colonial Beach's yesteryear with some modern upgrades! Our house has two smart-TV's, Heat and A/C, Keurig coffee maker, comfortable queen sized bed, and many other amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

We’ve stayed at Sunnyside Up a few times. We love this little cottage! Close to everything, but quiet. Well equipped and clean. And I love the sense of history that has been maintained. Sitting on the front porch looking out over the water and watching the wildlife is the perfect respite.

What a beautiful property! This waterfront oasis hosted my wife and I for a week and we can’t wait to come back. Fishing on the dock, relaxing by the fire pit, cooking steaks on the grill, falling asleep on the front porch… this house was perfect for the two of us. The neighbors were very friendly and the small town charm here has us wanting to come back as soon as possible. 10/10 would recommend for a beautiful getaway.

The Cottage was very Clean and well maintained. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The house was pet friendly with a basket of treats for the pups. Our dog loved the fluffy pink blanket. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The neighbors/locals were very friendly. We stayed a few nights. I would recommend Sunnyside Up for anyone that is looking for a quiet little getaway.Arlene C.

This was a very cute and clean cottage in a nice neighborhood. It was right on the water and had beautiful views of the Potomac River from the fabulous screened-in front porch. We enjoyed the private pier for fishing and watching seagulls and boats. The owners allowed our dogs and that was a huge plus for us! If you go during the week the streets are more quiet for walking pets and enjoying exercise. There is also a nice park just down the street that we went to. We rented a golf cart for traveling around to the shops, restaurants and for riding around the neighborhood. Renting one of the golf cards eliminates having to pay for parking if you use your personal vehicle in town. We really enjoyed our stay to Colonial Beach and hope to come back again!

This was the perfect getaway for my dog and I. Huge fenced yard with lots of shade. Wonderful neighbors. Enjoyed the dock both for swimming and evening cocktails. The screened front porch with shades made a perfect spot for morning coffee and teleworking. Wonderful area for morning and evening walks. Lots of walkable drinking and dining - I never used my car except to drive to a marina to rent a kayak which was great to do on the Bay side. I’m sitting on a high top under a shady tree enjoy the afternoon breeze as I write this review. Already planning return trips.

The property had a wonderful mix of beach and history. Dan was very quick to respond to messages and the cottage was very clean. Our dogs loved that the whole property was fenced in. Our miniature poodle ran laps! The chihuahua, not so much. She loved sunning herself on the back step. One thing that would help the kitchen would be a mixing/salad bowl. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Great cabin on the river!!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay in colonial Beach! The cabin was very nicely decorated and furnished a well equipped kitchen, and we had great conversation via messaging in person with the owners of the property. We would definitely stay there again.

Very cozy little cottage. Liked it alot.Loved the pier with chairs to sit out in the sunshine, watch the boats go by & occasional fish catching bugs on the surface of the water.

It was very important to have a fenced yard for our little dog she is really part of our family enjoyed the use of the pier for veiwing the Potomac and a little light fishing the cottage was very clean and comfortable if we can we would like to return sometime

Excellent views!

The Sunnyside Up cottage was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there. You can’t beat the location and the river views are incredible. We also enjoyed watching the Osprey build their nest nearby. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Colonial Beach. Thanks Dan for hosting us!

Charming House in the Perfect Location

We had a wonderful long weekend and enjoyed everything this house had to offer. There were so many thoughtful details (fire pit, bikes, coffee, dog treats and on and on). We loved fishing off the dock and the fully fenced in yard was a huge hit for our fur baby. We can't say enough good things and would love to come back!

Second time around

Our second trip here. Absolutely love this place. perfect for a couple and a pup. Close to the beach, restaurants, tiki bars. Best of all, the front porch and the pier. Our hosts were great. Thanks Dan and Scott. Already planning a third trip.

Wonderful Getaway

Quaint little beach town. Lovely cottage with lots of little extras. We spent our mornings and evenings sitting on the dock. So peaceful. We took advantage of the bikes provided to do some sightseeing. Highly recommend this little place. We will definitely be back!

Cozy with beautiful view

We stayed for a week and had everything we needed.it's great for 2 people. You can't beat the view and its in a nice neighborhood and a golf cart ride to everything. Dan was a great host. There was a storm one night and we lost power and the host came to see if we were okay. He brought us battery powered lamps so we could have lights. The homemade peach jam was good, Love the place.
