The best thing about this vacation home was the atmosphere of its location: tucked right into the forest and close to the ocean, you instantly felt like you were truly on vacation the moment you stepped outside. You could sit on the comfortable outdoor furniture, fire up the gas grill, and just soak in the surroundings. That alone was absolutely wonderful. Inside, everything had been thought of as well: it was spotless, so you felt at home right away. Even the little details had been carefully taken care of by the hosts.

Wow! We can't say enough about our stay at Stonebrook Cabin. It was a perfect cozy cabin for myself and my friend and a great location to explore the area. Quiet evenings on the deck with the fire table, convenient laundry to wash our hiking clothes, mornings with my coffee watching the snow shoe hares playing on the grass. But it's the attention to detail that puts this place over the top. Every time we thought, "It'd be nice to have..." the thing we were wishing for was right there. S'mores fixings AND roasting sticks. Wine glasses and opener - right there. When we considered whether we should take a bath towel in case we went to a beach - there were the beach towels. Little headache one day - there was the Tylenol. All those little things had already been thought out. This really should be a model for how a vacation rental is run. I'm already plotting a future trip for my husband and myself. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home on Schoodic Peninsula!

Found the cottage to be very inviting. I will say it was the cleanest rental we have been at. Nice treats welcomed us, easy to enter, located away from the road and private.Enjoyed our stay in a lovely area.

Clean, quiet cabin near along the wooded shores

The cabin was: - On a beautiful wooded lot down a peaceful road along the shore - Clean - Well-equipped - Comfortable (cool to cozy temps, depending on what you like, and the beds allowed us to sleep well). Highly recommend this cabin to anyone vacationing in the area.

This was a weekend getaway we will never forget. With close proximity to the Schoodic Peninsula, quiet starry nights, great local food, and above-and-beyond hosts, this stay was everything we could have asked for. You can’t go wrong with this rental!

Secluded, very clean and well stocked

We had a great stay at Stonebrook. Everything about the property was as listed. We enjoyed all the "home" away from home items, such as a well stocked kitchen, including dishes, pots & pans and even an assortment of spices for cooking. We enjoyed drinks on the patio while sitting around the fire pit. The record player was a great addition. In other VRBO properties we always had to buy extra hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent, etc. and it was great that all of these items were stocked for us. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Stonebrook!

Time well spent

Spent a couple days catching up with my brother. The property was in great condition and the hosts thought of everything down to a goody basket on arrival. We liked the Lobster pot and cooking ring just outside the cabin. The hikes and restaurants in the area made it Time well spent. Thank You.

Superb, comfortable, quiet get-away

We had an excellent stay overall. Alice and Kyle are superb hosts. The cabin was furnished and supplied with everything we needed for a week in Acadia. The location is away from the crowds yet close enough to the National Park for easy day trips. We'll be back!

Stayed at this wonderful place after we eloped during the eclipse - we kept saying this was exactly how we wanted our house to be haha! Beds were so comfy and house had everything we needed. So peaceful, quiet and clean. Thanks again!!

This cabin was a cozy getaway and was just what we were looking for. Very clean, easy check in/out, communication with host was great. Local accommodations were readily available and that was very helpful. We would definitely come back!

Excellent Modern Quiet Cabin near Acadia with all the amenities.

This modern cabin had all the amenities you could want and is perfect for a couples or small family getaway. Located in a quiet secluded area. Best of both worlds in a forested area all to yourself and can see the ocean from the driveway. Gas fireplace on the inside and outside. Host was wonderful and left us nice treats for our stay. Beautiful night stars from the deck. Served as a great base camp for exploring all three main areas of the walking postcard that is Acadia National Park. Would recommend this to anyone. Thanks for the memories and letting us enjoy our 20 year wedding anniversary!

Highly recommend

My two adult daughters and I were extremely impressed with the cabin. It was clean, cute and well stocked. We especially liked the well organized binder that explained everything and even gave pointers on outings. It looks rustic in the pictures but must be newly remodeled because it all looked fresh and new.

Cozy Maine Cabin

Absolutely wonderful stay. We left with no complaints. The cabin is so cozy and stocked with everything we could have needed. We loved the fireplace !! It is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor but we actually enjoyed exploring the surrounding small towns that we wouldn't have done if staying on Mount Desert Island.

We just arrived home after spending the weekend at Stonebook Cabin near Acadia National Park and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The cabin is nestled in a quiet forest setting on the Schoodic Peninsula and is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it a cozy and inviting retreat. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the attention to detail, decor and other small touches that really made it feel like a “home away from home”. Communication from Alice and Kyle was great from the time of booking until check-out and made things so smooth. Great recommendations for local restaurants! One of the highlights of our stay was the cozy fireplace. It added warmth and ambiance to the evenings, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring the park's breathtaking trails. The cabin is impressively well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking a breeze. Everything you could need is readily available, making meal prep convenient. The outdoor seating area is another gem of Stonebrook. Surrounded by the vibrant autumn colours, it was a perfect spot to have a morning cup of coffee and enjoy a drink in the evening. Our stay in the Acadia Region blended the beauty of the natural surroundings with the comfort and charm of a modern cabin. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in the midst of the stunning Maine fall colours, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Stony Brooke cabin was an absolute DREAM. So clean, so welcoming, and so serene. We loved our stay here. Our communication with the property manager was so easy and helpful. It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We really loved staying here and will be back for subsequent Maine trips. Highly recommend.

Amazing!

This was one of the best rentals I have had in the last five years. The hosts have thought of everything and were very available. I booked a midweek stay last minute and the hosts contacted me quickly with info well before I arrived. The cabin/home/location was better than it was described. Refreshing. I was completely relaxed the entire time, and had everything I needed. I recommend this location, and the hosts, without reservation. Impeccably clean and thoughtfully presented. Note that Google Maps will end your trip at one driveway too soon if headed North. If Northbound, when Google Maps announces you've arrived, pat Google on the head and drive north a bit more. You will pass a garage on the left. Then you will arrive at the address. If you arrive at night, the address sign may be partially hidden by foliage. Which is another reason this is the perfect getaway location. Quiet, beautiful, surrounded by trees, in a VERY quiet location, with a view of the water (looking through the trees). If you stay, I highly recommend visiting the local restaurant "The Pickled Wrinkle". Fun, laid back, local eatery, with awesome staff and a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend this listing enough. I would definitely come again. Thank you Alice and Kyle for far exceeding my expectations!

Wonderful Cabin

We had a wonderful time. Very very beautiful cabin. Clean, everything we needed to cook lobster outside. Beautiful outdoor seating. Extra touches we really appreciated (s’mores to cook😋 ) Very well decorated. We went to Acadia National Park and did some really nice hikes. Would love to go back.

We loved our stay. Cute house with everything you could need. Thoughtfully decorated and all the little touches including an equipped kitchen! Awesome deck/front porch in a quiet and scenic neighborhood. We went on some amazing hikes and took the ferry to bar harbor which was spectacular!

The location of this property was just what we hoped it would be. The beauty of the area and friendly locals made our time even more enjoyable. The cabin was just as described. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. We hope to return in the future.

My husband, Stewart. and I are both true Mainers. Born and raised in Bar Harbor and Prospect Harbor, we met on Stewart's deep-sea fishing tour over 25 years ago. Since then, we've created a beautiful family of 6 together and have established one of Downeast Maine's premiere boat building companies. We love to travel and explore whenever possible. For years we've used vacation rentals as our go-to places to stay...having a, "home away from home" makes a vacation all that more special! Our goal in creating our vacation rentals was to offer our guests a few things that's often lacked in our renting experience: fast responses, unique accommodations, and hosts who genuinely care about your stay.
