This stylish top-floor space boasts plush comfortable beds, cathedral ceilings, and tons of natural light. Take advantage of a fully stocked coffee bar. Our guests love enjoying their morning coffee by stepping out on the balcony to take in the fresh air and the peaceful sounds of a babbling brook below.

Looking to relax during your vacation? Who isn't! Roll out a yoga mat or grab a meditation bench provided for guests in our Zen Corner. No expertise required: Bearfoot Den is a judgment-free zone where you can be YOU! Do you prefer to "zen out" in other ways? There are 2 TVs and free streaming apps (Disney, Netflix, Prime), so adults and kids can enjoy their favorite shows in peace!

The place was beautiful and convienent to several different locations. We really enjoyed our stay and the property manager was really friendly and accommodating.

Great mountain getaway

Loved all the extra touches, fantastic bath towels! Lots of places to charge phones etc Beautiful mountain murals on walls. Cozy and clean! Would love to stay again!

Super Cozy and easy walking distance to Sugar Mountain Resort!

Cozy and clean! Perfect location for skiing. Just a short walk. Top level unit was beautiful to watch the sunrise over the trees. Electric fireplace was nice, you can adjust heat levels. LOVED that the lamps had charging connections built in. Bathroom has been updated. Lots of hooks for hanging stuff. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary Weekend

The location is fantastic. The condo was cute but it definitely needed to be cleaned better. The balcony was disappointing. We ended up never using it because it was small, dirty, and had ants.

We’re sorry you were disappointed with the balcony! We felt the pictures in the listing accurately portray that it only fits two Adirondack chairs. The thick tree canopy is excellent for privacy and cool shade in the summer, but yes, debris can accumulate quickly depending on season. Most guests don’t mind giving it a quick sweep to brush off the leaves.

Perfect out of town location for App State visit

The property is really cute. It has everything we needed and has great little touches. It’s within walking distance of a golf course (we played twice while there-very convenient). There are several trails that were a relatively close distance. The drive to Boone wasn’t bad once we found our way around a bit. I would definitely stay here again.😊 The upstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds and is accessed by steep ladder like stairs. It has a hand rail and wasn’t a problem at all for our son to use that bedroom. Just a little extra info.

Perfect for our family of four

This property is what you see from the listing. It is a quaint, cozy condo up on Sugar Mountain. Perfect for 4 more than that might be a challenge. The loft space is spacious and good for those who can climb the ladder stairs. My 3 year old was a bit nervous about it so she ended up sleeping downstairs but my 5 year old loved it. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved opening the back door in the evening listening to the stream and bringing in the cool air. It decent for cooking simple meals, but just watch your head the slanted ceiling will get ya, on numerous occasions. Lol. All in all it was the perfect location to all the things we enjoyed in Sugar, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Linville. You will love it.

We’re a family who fell in love with Sugar Mountain and wanted to create the kind of getaway we’d want to stay in ourselves—comfortable, thoughtful, stylish, and welcoming. We’ve put a lot of care into making this condo feel special, from the boho-inspired design and custom touches to the fully stocked kitchen and little comforts that make a stay easy.

We love the outdoors, cozy mountain weekends, and exploring all that this area has to offer—from skiing and hiking to coffee shops and small-town charm in Banner Elk. One of our favorite things is sharing those experiences with guests and helping families make memories here.

We enjoy hosting because we know a great place can shape a vacation, and we hope our condo feels less like a rental and more like your mountain home away from home.

We chose this location because it gives you the best of Sugar Mountain—peaceful mountain surroundings with adventure right outside your door. Being able to walk to the ski resort is a huge perk (and rare), while still being just minutes from Banner Elk’s restaurants, breweries, shops, and small-town charm.

What we love most is the balance here: you can spend the day skiing, hiking, golfing, or exploring, then come back to a quiet retreat surrounded by trees and mountain air. In every season there’s something special—snow in winter, wildflowers in spring, cool summers, and incredible fall color.

Unlike many rentals that feel generic or like "just a place to sleep," our condo has custom murals, modern boho decor, soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and a private creekside balcony that makes the space feel warm and memorable. Families especially love the lofted bedroom—nicknamed “The Treehouse” by past guests—which has become a favorite feature for kids.

Being a top-floor unit in a small, quiet building also gives it a peaceful, tucked-away feel, while still being minutes from everything in Banner Elk. It’s the combination of character, comfort, and location that really sets it apart.
