OVERVIEW
Cabin charm meets modern amenities to create a transformative space for ultimate lake living. This stunning, family-friendly home is a true getaway from busy life and only one hour from Chicago! Originally a rustic log cabin, this home was extended to 5000 sq ft, fully remodeled, and beautifully furnished with unique, solid wood furniture throughout. Sandy beach with shallow frontage, beautiful restored shoreline, and soft bottom full recreational lake!

THE LAYOUT
This home comfortably accommodates up to 10 adults and 8 kids. In total, there are 13 separate beds: 5 king beds and 8 twin beds.
The layout:
- Main floor has 1 bedroom with 1 king bed
- Second floor has 2 kids' bedrooms each with 2 sets of bunk beds (i.e., 8 separate twin size beds in total)
- Third floor (half flight stairs up from second floor) has 3 ensuite master bedrooms, each with a king bed
- Lower level has 1 bedroom with 1 king bed

MAIN FLOOR
High ceilings and wood columns adorn the open concept main floor which boasts a large living and dining room, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful wet bar/lounge area, and covered porch/3 season room. Picture windows and glass doors off the main area provide access to the rear deck and lake. The living room has a plush sectional, large in-ceiling projector screen for a theater-like movie watching experience, and cabinet full of board games, cards, and poker chips. Dining table has ample seating for 12.

The front entrance opens to the original part of the log cabin which includes a bedroom with king size bed, adjacent full bath, office with two workspaces, and cabin-style family room with sectional and 70” flat screen TV.

UPSTAIRS
Three ensuite master bedrooms each include a king size bed, large picture windows, gas fireplace, beautifully appointed bathrooms, and balcony with a gorgeous view of the lake. Two kids rooms include log cabin style bunk beds (4 sets of bunk beds sleep 8) and an adjacent bathroom with tub.

LOWER LEVEL
The ultimate game room on the lower level is a dream for both adults and kids alike - with pool table, custom made ping pong table, arcade with 16,000+ classic games, air hockey, darts, chess table, foosball table and more. A large bedroom with king size bed and full bath are adjacent to the game room. Walkout lower level allows easy access to the lake.

OUTDOOR SPACES & LAKE
The home has two decks and a brick patio facing the lake, furnished with plenty of lounge furniture. Weber grill and large fire pit are yours to use. The sandy beach is just steps away from our back patio and NO stairs! Enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing on the lake (fishing permit required). We have 2 sit-in kayaks, 2 person canoe, 1 SUP, paddle boat, lily pad, water slide and inflatables. Inquire for boat rental. And finally the exterior of the property is sprayed regularly for crawling insects, bees, and wasps, but given our location there might be the rare spider or other critter that makes its way in- ultrasonic pest repellers are in most rooms and we keep bug spray on hand.

WATER SAFETY
The whole property is fenced, unique for lake houses in the area. This will ensure your dog and kids stay safe from the lake as well as the road. We also have life jackets in toddler to 4XL but request for infants and very young children you bring your own to ensure proper fit.

PETS
We love to host your furry friend(s) and will provide a water bowl and treats. Maximum of 2 dogs and additional $150 per dog per stay. No other pets please. Please review the Pet Rules in the House Rules section.

The Lodge on Lake Shangrila is perfect for family gatherings and a relaxing getaway but NOT appropriate for events or parties. Every guest age 2 and older including visitors who do not stay overnight are included in the guest count.

We ask you respect our family lakehouse. To allow us to continue offering our home to wonderful guests, we ask for honesty and full transparency when you book in regard to guest count and intent of your stay. Our home is not appropriate for parties as it creates a lot of noise and trash. If you invite other people to the home that are not part of the guest count, you will incur additional charges.

Please read the House Rules prior to booking - it includes important info that you are agreeing to when you send your booking request. Once you book, please share the House Rules with your entire group.
