Once you sit on the wrap around porch of this 100 year old updated farmhouse, you will understand why we call West Virginia - Almost Heaven. This spacious 4 bedroom farmhouse is located in Upper Tract, WV where you can enjoy hiking, fishing, rock climbing and the beauty of the mountain views. We are just minutes from the entrance of Smoke Hole Canyon, Reed's Creek rocking climbing, Swilled Dog Cidery, South Mill Creek Lake and the Highlands Golf Club at Fisher Mountain.

Amazing Stay

Beautiful property with all the amenities you'd need for a few days stay. Hosts were very accommodating and prompt to respond to any questions we had. Would certainly come back.

Great Get Away From the City!

Very nice updated home. The stars where amazing at night around the fire. Quiet and peaceful are the best words to describe the location.

Delightful!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The view from the porch is incredible. The house had everything we needed. This was a perfect place for a group of friends to stay on a girls trip to WV. I hope to come back some day!

Great Stay

Everything thing was so nice, we enjoyed gathering around the kitchen island for meals, sharing stories and playing cards in game room. Would have loved to use the outside fire ring but mother nature had other plans. Will definitely plan another stay!! Property is so beautiful!

Getaway Gem

Loved this beautiful old farm house, the scenery, sunset over the mountains, cows in pastures. Great places close by to fish, hike, rock climbing or just sit on porch and enjoy the view. The owners were very nice and accommodating.

Amazing getaway

My wife and I, along with our two dogs, had an incredible stay at this charming farmhouse. The location was easy to find, and we were welcomed by a clean and well-maintained space that immediately felt like home. The hosts clearly put thought into every detail, making the stay comfortable for both us and our dogs. We loved the peaceful surroundings, and it was the perfect escape from city life. We will definitely be returning!

Charming farm house

We had a great time in this beautifully renovated farm house. I especially loved the spacious kitchen and wrap around porch. It’s nice to see cows roaming around during the day and it gets very dark at night which is great for star gazing. We were here to see the Milky Way during new moon phase and got to take my very first photograph of it. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming farmhouse with fantastic views

We loved our stay. The views are amazing. The house had a lot of charm and in great shape for 100yrs old. Excellent stargazing. Kitchen is well stocked and all the appliances/furniture are in excellent condition. We brought our own groceries & meals so we didn’t have to go shopping which is 15-20min away. Loved the quietness of this property and would visit again.

Climbing Trip

We've stayed at the Farmhouse a few times for a regular climbing trip to Reed's Creek and Smoke Hole. It's a fantastic location for access to climbing and Franklin. The house and porch are beautiful. In addition, the Farmhouse fire pit area adds a very enjoyable outdoor feature. The Farmhouse is very clean, well-appointed and extremely comfortable.

Climbing Trip

This was our first stay at the Farmhouse for a climbing trip to Reed's Creek/Smoke Hole and we will definitely be back. The Farmhouse was well appointed and clean. The kitchen easily accommodated our large group dinner, the wrap around porch was spacious and relaxing, and the fire pit accented with string lights was thoroughly enjoyed by our group.

WV Jewel!

What an amazing home and property. The views in the morning as we drank coffee on the front porch swing were incredible. So close to the wedding venue and reception(less than 5 minutes!). Great way to unwind from the excitement of the weekend. We are already planning a girls trip to visit the area again and hope this location is available as we want to stay again.

Fantastic comfort in the beautiful rolling Hills of West Virginia.

We had a fantastic time, a picturesque place setting and a beautiful home to enjoy it. We spent most of our time on the front porch. Just enjoying the beautiful scenery around this home. The man property manager was just fantastic. Had everything we need. No issues with the property or home. Very friendly, welcoming people will book again soon. Thank you.

Beautiful Setting

We loved the secluded setting. The pace of life is slower, no traffic, no noise, no worries. This was a trip to a site with dark sky's and our telescope. The Milky Way could be seen from horizon to horizon. The house is on a hill side with ample sky views. The accommodations are spacious and perfect. The house is fully renovated and up to date. We will be back.
