Beautiful Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It made our 7 days away from home feel like home. The owner is very polite and accommodating. She went over and beyond to make sure our stay was everything. This property will definitely be first on my list next time I come to Detroit.

Excellent Ferndale location...

The property was pet friendly, however the gate for the yard didn't close properly, so we were unable to let our dog enjoy the backyard.. The accomodations were comfortable and modern. The batteries for the smoke detectors beeped constantly.

Ferndale getaway

Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable accommodations. A newer rental so just a few tweaks would really be nice. Maybe simple things like facial tissue in various locations. Small trash cans in rooms. One bedroom was without a mirror. Overall, I would definitely consider reserving this property on another visit to Michigan.

Overall it fit our needs. The location was a little confusing, without an address number on the house. There was a package on the porch for a different address. So we definitely felt like we were not in the right place. We mainly just used it for sleeping. Beds were small for two people, but acceptable for one. Three of us stayed with no issues.

The AC went out.

The AC went out and I notified the owner asap. She did repond in a timely manner and sent out someone to look at the unit, however, it was 95 degrees outside and she had stated the ac unit would not be repaired until the following day, so therefore, she was going to have fans delivered that night. Not only were fans not delivered but she stopped responding once she notified us they were no longer being delivered. It was a hot and sweaty night and very uncomfortable to sleep in considering the inside temperature of the house was 78 degrees. It was disappointing that she was unable to accommodate our needs considering we notified her prior that we had a toddler with us.

Would not recommend!

The owners were very difficult to work with. From the moment I clicked book it was a nightmare. Lots of things came up on our end and they would not get back with me and when they finally did they would not let us change the reservation. She told me if I canceled and rebooked they would give our money back. So when I tried she said that’s not what she said that I was just interpreting it the way I wanted. Literally can not change the meaning of the word “rebook” So we still went on the trip. The house is older and has been fixed up a little. The ceiling tiles in the basement were falling apart and hanging down, leaking ceiling in bedroom, and cobwebs all over the basement. Then we had people show up to come look at the leaking ceiling. We did not feel comfortable with letting people in with our stuff in there. The should never have scheduled for workers to come into the house while it was rented. That was very unprofessional. I definitely would never recommend this rental!
