The Bear Lodge-Fire pit-Fireplace

Imagine sitting on the porch in the shadow of Bell Mountain and sipping your morning coffee while watching the deer run through the yard. This newly upgraded 3 bedroom cabin has three queen size log beds with memory foam mattresses for a relaxing and comfortable nights sleep. The custom log cabin style kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances and there is a modern front load washer and dryer in the cabin for your use. Located not far from town but it has a secluded feel to it. Kick back and relax in front of the cozy gas fireplace and enjoy this mountain get away.

Occupancy Rates Based On Up To 4 Persons
EXTRA PERSONS: $10/per person /per night

MINIMUM: 2 night stay
HOLIDAYS REQUIRE: 3 Night Minimum or more

The cabin was clean with nice kitchen appliances. We only stayed on the main floor since there were just the two of us. The brown leather sofa was the main seating available on this level. This sofa is difficult to get off of due to the springs no longer provide much support. Would recommend it be replaced. The heat worked well. The interior needs some sprucing up. Felt like I had traveled back to 1990. Enjoyed the front porch.

Great Cabin in the Woods

Overall this location was perfect for what we needed. It is tucked away in the woods and nice and quiet, but close to activities and stores/restaurants. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Missing a few amenities that would make it a bit better, but still super happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to others. Hated I didnt have more time!

Peaceful Getaway

Nice cabin nestled in Hiawassee near Lake Chatuga. Right down the road from Bell Mountain, about 20min from Brasstown Bald, and 30min from Helen. It has a nice homie vibe with a hot tube and fire pit. I enjoyed sitting on the porch rocking in the rocking chair every morning and at the end of the day. Overall great visit.

Wonderful stay

Perfect location! The house was everything the pictures show and the porch and fire pit were the perfect places to sit outside and enjoy our coffee or drinks! The interior is beautiful, spacious and well stocked! We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to relax

Cabin was very clean and location was easy to get to town if you wanted or needed something. We were visiting family in the area. It was well stocked with anything you would need. The decor , porch, and hot tub were great. I would stay again , but I feel it’s only right to mention the neighbor behind the cabin is very close and a little rowdy.

Second time staying here and it is ALWAYS a pleasure! It’s a beautiful cabin with a super homie feel! Convenient enough to all of the local spots, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet! Unfortunately, my trip was cut short due to a family emergency so I had to leave a day early, but always enjoy the Bear Lodge and will definitely stay again!

Beautiful

This is an amazing cabin . So quiet ! We enjoyed our stay and will be back. The views , neighborhood, cleanliness of place was more than we expected. We hated to leave .

Stay in Hiawassee

Couldn’t get ahold of the property manager at all. Got to the cabin and the cleaner was still there. Our check in was at 4pm and she didn’t leave until 6pm. The hot tub would only go to 100 which felt like warm bath water. Overall the place was nice, but the communication with the owner and the late check in was annoying….

Amazing view!

The cabin was just as pictured! Very clean, well maintained property. The view was beautiful! As stated, it does have a steep driveway but we managed to back our motorcycle trailer down without an issue. We would highly recommend this location!!

Had a great stay

Location is perfect - off the path a bit, quiet, yet a short ride to the stores to cover your needs and entertainment. Loved having Bell Mountain at the foot of our driveway. Pretty significant foot hike with grades in the 20% range and can be tough 1.5 mile test for your passenger as well. My grandkids spent hours exploring the creek. Plenty of room in the house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I watched football downstairs while the young ones enjoyed a movie upstairs.

Disturbed stay

Very out dated with the exception of the appliances. At the onset of our stay, the access code we were given was incorrect. We waited almost a half hour for someone to respond to us. After settling in, we prepared to go find some dinner, in doing so, we left a light on in the house, because the area is very dark. When we returned, it was evident that someone had entered the house. The kitchen light had been turned off, the utility room light had been turned on, there was an energy drink container on the floor and a clean wrap around the toilet seat. I would assume that if check-in time is 4:00, the cleaning crew should have completed their job before 4:00. We have rented through VRBO in the past and never had the cleaning people enter during our stay. That was a little unnerving. Dogs barked off and on all night. The coffee maker looked clean, however, the coffee we made tasted awful. We decided to leave after staying only one night.

Good location close to town but also set back in the woods. Had no problem accessing the cabin through the key pad when we first arrived but when returned after going out to dinner the the lock wouldn’t work. Messaged the host who arrived promptly and she left us a manual key to use for the rest of our visit. Problem averted and had a wonderful stay.
