Melissa was an awesome communicator and very informative of the area. It was a pleasure talking with her. The boat was an excellent choice, very relaxing and well discribed on VRBO. Also, the resurant at the marina was great, with good food and a nice bar. Overall, great stay!

Lovely stay. Location was perfect, the boat had everything we needed and was surprisingly spacious (maybe a bit of a squeeze for a family of 4 but only because one is a teenager) however prefect for two younger children. The kids loved jumping in and swimming in the water, also feeding the ducks from the boat. We only had one night as part of a stop over but I could have happily stayed longer.

Great night on the boat!

We had a nice night on the boat. Melissa was friendly and very nice. Made sure we had everything we needed. Place was clean to stay in. We had a relaxing night.

Making Memories

We were in the area for one night and thought that staying on a boat would be a fun memory for everyone. We enjoyed the peace and quiet that came from being on the boat, surrounded by nature and watching the wildlife. (We saw a beaver, bald Eagle, & random birds) The boat itself was well kept and ready for us when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Communication with the hosts and check in went smooth. We even booked a charter with them the next day and had an amazing ride out to the lighthouse, which my mother thoroughly enjoyed. I would totally stay there again if ever in the area.

Relaxing getaway upstate

My wife and I stayed on Melissa and AJ's yacht for our anniversary trip and had the best time! We were looking for a quiet getaway up from New York City, and this listing was perfect for us. While the concept of staying on a boat was unique, we absolutely loved it. There was plenty of space both inside and out, and we never felt cramped or inconvenienced. Melissa and AJ were absolutely incredible hosts. They were at the marina to answer questions if needed, but we felt like we had plenty of space and privacy. We are planning to go back for a weekend away in the future! Overall, we would highly recommend checking out Catskill over its more glamorous neighbor, Hudson.

I didn’t even get to see this boat since I double booked this on the account of the app malfunctioning for me and my girlfriend’s anniversary. I made it clear to the host and they gave me the impression that I would get a refund or at least a partial refund. Instead she did not let me know I was still paying for another boat/show me the other boat at all so I paid for two and only stayed in one. Melissa and AJ had been very “shady” as she was explaining to me and my girlfriend about other things they do day to day. She blocked my number. This whole thing was very unprofessional/uncommunicative. She also walked into our area before 11am when we were still packing/getting ready. This anniversary has now been impacted my this small issue that could have been cleared up with being communicative and a normal person. 0 stars if I could…

Hop-O-Nose Marina is located within walking distance to Main Street Catskill. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes all along Main Street. Dutchman’s Landing is a great park that is also within walking distance.

Staying onboard on our yacht is truly unique. Taking in the beauty of the Catskill Creek during the day while feeding the ducks is so amazing. Sitting in the cockpit under the blue lights on the yacht looking up at the stars is truly magical! Best place to unwind, unplug and relax.
