Porpoise - Beachfront Penthouse on Dry Sandy Carbon Beach

Welcome to our newest beachfront penthouse vacation rental, PORPOISE, located in mid-Malibu on sandy Carbon Beach.

This newly updated, top floor vacation rental has panoramic ocean views bringing our guests the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Views include the Queens Necklace of the Santa Monica Bay, Palos Verdes and Catalina Islands. We’re located walking distance to the Malibu Pier, NOBU and world famous Surfrider Beach.

This two-bedroom and one and a half bath unit has a living room with a fireplace, indoor dining area with a table to seat 6 guests, outdoor furniture and barbecue on a large private deck and a good size fully stocked kitchen should you choose to cook during your stay.

In the primary bedroom there is a king size bed and half bath ensuite. There is a queen size bed in the second bedroom with a full bathroom adjacent. Both bedrooms have large, flat screen smart TV’s, custom closets and nightstands.

In the living room there is a 3rd flat screen TV, a pull out sofa with a queen size mattress and a gas fireplace.

The kitchen features quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances; refrigerator, gas stove and microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, serving dishes/bowls, glassware, utensils, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and dish towels.

We provide WiFi, all bed linens, towels and beach chairs. There is also a washer & dryer on site for your convenience. Coins are provided and available inside the vacation rental. There is garage parking onsite and the property is gated for extra privacy.

The unit is steps to a dry sandy beach with two outdoor areas for washing off the sand.

The unique part about this area of Malibu is that everything is very close by! World class restaurants and several modestly priced cafes, surfing lessons and rentals, kayak and diving rentals, trendy local stores for shopping and experiencing the flavor of Malibu. Enjoy the numerous hiking and biking trails in the Malibu/Santa Monica Mountains.

Places of interest nearby include the Adamson House, Getty Museum, The Music Center, LA Zoo, Santa Barbara Zoo, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood, and theme parks (Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm & Magic Mountain).

Perfect location

This is the perfect location. Right on the beach! Nestled in-between Nobu and the pier. There are many places to walk shop and eat. We would definitely stay again.

Great location

Location location location waking up to watch the sun rise over La, going to sleep to the sound of the ocean. Site seeing and surf in between, it was hard to go home😎

Beautiful property

We really loved staying here, the sound of the waves sending us to sleep each night, the view of the sea and pier, the style of the property and nice touches. The location was good as it was not a too busy area but also not too far away from everything. There was everything we needed in the property and it was a joy to stay in. Beds were comfortable, very clean and the staff on site were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was magical. It felt like we were living on top of the ocean. Sitting on the balcony is one of my happier trip memories ever. It was super clean, safe, easily walkable to Nobu and the Pier. Recommend 100x over.

Beautiful oceanfront condo in a beautiful location

The condo was extremely well maintained, clean and you cannot heat the frack that is right on the ocean. The waves make for a very soothing atmosphere. It is also close to restaurants and shops. All walkable.

This is our third time staying at the sandpiper and are always pleased with accommodations. The location is ideal. Leaving the lovely coastline won’t be easy yet we look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Birthday at the Beach

Couldn't have had a better stay. The condo was wonderful and Angel was so nice and helpful. This was our 2nd time staying at the beach rental. It's a perfect 10!!

MALIBU WEDDING

We were in Malibu for a wedding that was about 20 minutes away. This place worked out perfectly as it was RIGHT ON THE BEACH. You could hear the ocean from any room. It was a cozy place with everything we needed. The Property Manager, Angel, was very helpful and pleasant. The bonus was that it was 20 degrees cooler than the wedding venue.

Location location location

This place was awesome inside and out, the views were incredible and you could sleep to the sound of the waves every night. We had an awesome experience from the time we showed up to the time we left. Angel, one of property employees was professional in helping us get all settled in and assured us a great time! The location is walking distance to several nice restaurants and shops, no need to worry about finding parking on PCH. Malibu was beautiful and the people there were very friendly. 5/5 stars!

Best location in Malibu

This vacation home feels like you’re sleeping on your very own private yacht With a huge balcony directly over the beach you will have front seat viewing of dolphins and beautiful sunsets and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Situated on the best beach in Malibu and within walking distance of the best restaurants and shopping, the apt gets 10/10 for location. it’s understated beachy vibe will have you relaxing in no time. It also allows pets a rare thing to find in Malibu Angel the property manager is so great - always on hand for questions or help but never intrusive.

Best mini vacation ever!!!

Just book it!! You will not regret it!! It’s a little slice of heaven This is the second time that we have stayed and it was amazing!! Everything is spotlessly clean and honestly they have thought of everything. Angel and Samuel are friendly and are always around if you have a question The apartment is beautifully situated on the beach and has been tastefully decorated. It’s better than the photos and bigger. Plenty of space perfect for 6 with the pullout bed in the living room It’s also very central and so close to restaurants shopping etc also very quiet /safe and though it’s on PCH you do not hear any traffic We did see dolphins on the first trip and seals on the second such a special place!

Dream Beach Getaway at Porpoise on Carbon Beach

Everything was fantastic at the modernly renovated Porpoise rental on Carbon Beach. The light and airy beach vibes put us at ease immediately. We stayed for a short week with my wife, our 1.5-year-old son, and our two mini goldendoodles. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was a dream - fully redone with new appliances, dishes, and utensils. The highlight was the huge balcony with comfortable chairs perfect for watching the sunset over the ocean, and a loveseat ideal for dolphin watching. Having garage parking for two cars was a huge plus on PCH. Angel and the property management crew were fantastic. The only minor thing to note is the showerhead in the main bathroom being a bit low. We can't wait to come back for another perfect beach getaway!

Gorgeous location in Malibu

This property is in a fantastic location in Malibu. You can walk to the pier, the beach, and to both casual and fine dining. The VRBO listing is mostly accurate, but there are some things to know. First, there are really 1.25 bathrooms. The main bathroom is in the hall and shared by all. The power room is in the primary bedroom. There is a gated entry and garage parking, but the garages are TINY. You can only park a compact car in the garage. everyone parks just outside their garage (but still within the gated area). The unit is really nice, remodeled, and newly appointed. All new furniture indoors and out! They even have lovely little touches like two beautiful potted orchids on the dining table. There are an abundance of large fluffy white bath towels, beach towels, and pillows and bedding. The kitchen has all the appliances that you might need to cook meals for your family. There is not a dishwasher, so be prepared to hand wash all dishes and pans as you go. In our experience, we had a few things that got in the way of our stay being 5 stars. We were not prepared that there are little nuisances at beach houses. Ants. They were all over the dining area as soon as we arrived. Cooking required picking up every crumb immediately, killing stray ants while preparing food, leaving any open snacks or pantry food in the fridge, and taking out the trash every day. These are musts. Wash dishes thoroughly, they find every drop of food. Property mgr is great and responds fast!!

Fijne plek, prachtig uitzicht. Sereen; weg van drukte. Heerlijk balkon en mogelijkheid direct het strand op te gaan. Hartelijke ontvangst en fijne communicatie. Enige nadeel het geluid van de auto’s die reden over de weg achter appartement. Dat overstemde soms het geluid van de golven.
