Floods Island, llamada así por sus dueños originales, es una Log Cabin en una isla propia. No es solo un lugar para disfrutar de la belleza del norte de Wisconsin sino una experiencia. Ubicado en el lago Ten Mile en Chetek, WI. Puede disfrutar de unas vacaciones con una gran familia o familia extensa. Puede hacer que sea una escapada relajante para múltiples familias. El interior del tronco junto con la decoración están destinados al amante del aire libre, incluso si nunca abandona la cabina mientras está aquí. Está en una isla, accesible por un puente para que pueda conducir hasta la puerta de entrada.

Hay espacio más que suficiente para que pueda acurrucarse en su propio espacio o disfrutar de una comida grupal o un juego. Las estanterías del sótano están llenas de libros y juegos antiguos y nuevos. ¡La cabina es única y tus vacaciones también! La mayoría de nuestros inquilinos vuelven año tras año, ¡espero que te conviertas en uno de los que también se enamora!

Autumn fishing trip

Our group had a wonderful time on the island. The place was very comfortable for all of us, and we enjoyed relaxing in a quiet spot. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Island Getaway. The property and house was very accommodating for our group including three generations. Unfortunately, the stagnant lake water surrounding the property emitted quite a bad odor. I realize this is nature and nothing the property owners can do about it. We were told by others that the quality of the lake water is better earlier in the summer. If we decide to return someday, we will consider early summer instead of August.

Serene, Private & Peaceful!

We have been going to Chetek for decades. By far, this is our favorite location. There is no traffic, the pontoon and boat lift are fantastic features as are the two fishing docks. The fish house is clean as the house - and the house is immaculate! So much room for multiple family members to gather, yet separate areas for when you want quiet time. The lodge is away from it all, yet not far from anything. We ate out a few times but mostly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Communication with owner is great and the caretaker was courteous and attentive. This is the perfect location to relax and rejuvenate - the perfect getaway!

I was concerned that the cabin might be a little small for our extended family, but it worked very well for us. We are planning on adding one of the mainland cabins next year because the grandkids are only getting bigger, but we could make do with just the island lodge. It was conveniently close to town, but had the feel of being very private.

Wonderful Multigenerational Family Getaway

We have an annual family vacation in a location 2-3 hours away with our adult children and their families each summer. The Lodge was perfect for us. The kitchen was roomy and well supplied. We enjoy preparing our meals but drove into Chetek for ice cream and for the things we forgot. It’s very convenient. Each family had a bedroom. We used our own pontoon and enjoyed the lake. It was late August so the lake had algae blooms but we would go out further into the lake in the pontoon and jump in. It was very hot the days we were there (90’s) and the air conditioner kept up well. Our host was attentive and easy to communicate with but truly we didn’t need to contact him for anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely book again.

Fabulous Holiday at Flood Island

Our family stayed in 2 cabins during the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful time. The cabins were so clean and well stocked. The lack was so beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets spectacular. Charly was responsive, kind and very communicative. We highly recommend you stay.at Flood Island.

Nice Place!

Enjoyed the log cabin and it's location. The stone work inside is beautiful. Fire pit area was nice along with the free wood. Rented the pontoon, the green and white one is nice. Only short coming was the kitchen utensils and pans.

Excellent Cabin

This is an excellent cabin for most occasions. Very well built log cabin with great stone work. Very nice but also practical and hardwearing, not ostentatious. On a private island with easy pontoon rental, great lake with bars and a volleyball court. Host was very easy to work with and allowed me to come back and retrieve some forgotten items. I would highly recommend this and hope to return.

Great Memories.

Very comfortable property. Welcoming and at home feel. All the necessary amenities. My only suggestion to the property manager would be to add some solar lights in the back yard to light the stairs and the path to the fire pit.

Labor Day

Just wanted to say how awesome this cabin is especially for big groups. We had 15 people stay on the Island-and it didn’t seem crowded at all. Just a beautiful place to relax in.

The stone work on the cabin and on the fireplaces was done by the owners themselves. The owners are Wisconsin natives and enjoy people and the outdoors.

We were asked to purchase this cabin from the original builder/owner because of our relationship with them after doing the stone work on the cabin. They had a hard time letting go of the property to 'just anyone'.
