Easy Getaway On Sam Rayburn

Stayed over the weekend with spouse and two kids. Very comfortable stay and nice house. We loved this house, will stay again.

Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! My friends and myself will definitely be back! Our host was very helpful and patient with me with questions! It wasn’t far from where we live. The venue was an added bonus and very cute! I will be telling my friend about it for special occasions! Thank you for a great relaxing time!

Beautiful home!

We travelled for a golf tournament for our son and this was the perfect place. Beautifully renovated and clean. Great and helpful communication with the owner. Would highly recommend!

Super comfy beds & great location!

The house is just pictured. Nicely decorated living room, bedrooms and bathroom. They all redone and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen needs a but of updating and the cabinets were full of old event decor, miscellaneous items. I prefer a bit more organization personally. We didn’t cook much so it didn’t bother much. The boat parking next to the house was big enough for two trucks and our pontoon and my dad’s fishing boat.

The Beautiful Shanty

The Shanty was amazing. Had plenty of room, a lot of parking, and was very great place to sleep. Quiet, beautiful, and definitely felt like home. I highly recommend staying here!

Great place as always, and is my go to when staying to fish. Plenty of parking for extra boats and vehicles and the house is very roomy. The furniture is very comfortable as well. The owner communicates quickly as well. Excellent place to stay.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay at The Shanty. Everything was clean and as described. We loved the decor, patio, parking for boats, and the ice machine. The coffee pot is small but we brought our own. We really enjoyed the house and would recommend staying here.

Perfect for what we needed

Easy checkin. House was a bit cluttered because of all the event stuff but was clean. The beds were clean and comfortable. Hope to stay again next year!

Great place. The property is beautiful with lots of wildlife and the location is perfect. The convenience of the boat ramp being so close and the large shop for storage of boat/truck was great. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. Went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Highly recommend staying at Longview farms!

Clean peaceful home!

This property is wonderful. We stayed at this property while we went on a guided fishing trip in Lake Sam Rayburn. Close to the boat landing, has boat parking to charge batteries. The home was very clean, neatly decorated, and had everything we needed. I look forward to coming back to stay here again!

Perfect Stay

This property is perfect! The price was great for a multi family stay. Plenty of room for everyone and had everything we needed! Even had toiletries. We were close to the pavilion which was nice since we were there for a fishing tournament. Even had a boat spot with electricity to charge over night. If we ever come back to Sam Rayburn we will for sure be staying here!

This place was super cute. We had our first little family getaway since 2012, my husband and our two adult kids. We enjoyed spending time boating nearby, and went to the Country Club enjoying live music and good food. The house was beautiful and even had a nice extra room, we were allowed to use, so we played board games and listened to music after long days in the sun. Thank you so much

Hidden gem in golf/lake community.

Private and quiet neighborhood, clean, comfortable beds and spacious living area. More amenities and appliances than expected in the full-service kitchen, which worked well since our group prepared and ate all of our meals there. The community was under a boil order during our stay and the host was thoughtful and kind enough to provide a case of bottled water for our convenience! It was perfect for our group and we would definitely stay again. The check-in/out times are generous and access was a breeze.

Convenient and so cute!

Nice little gem tucked away in residential neighborhood. House and beds and linens were very clean, location just a few minutes from the pavilion and boat launch. Very close to convenient stores. Had an extra fridge which was nice to store drinks for boat. Super cute wedding venue attached to back patio! Absolutely adorable!

The Shanty was lovely. Nice yard and plenty of parking, including covered parking for boat. The beds were very comfortable and the living area was very nice. The bathrooms were updated and clean. The house was in a great location for access to lake and Rayburn Country resort. Enjoyed 4th of July fireworks at the resort and also had a lovely meal there. My only complaint with the home was the organization and cleanliness of the cabinets in kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area. The kitchen shelves were sticky and overloaded with mix-matched items. The bathrooms had really nice towels hanging up on towel bars but the closets were in disarray with half-folded towels and included items that were probably intended for use with the owner's event business. Same issue in laundry area. I understand that the home is a multi-purpose business (event and VRBO rental) but these 2 businesses should not overflow into each other. That being said, the home is truly lovely but would be spectacular if the cleanliness/organization issues were addressed.
