About this space
Owners of this lakefront estate offer this new, private, luxury basement apartment with separate entrance for your vacation enjoyment. This beautiful space is fully equipped and furnished for you to enjoy Badin Lake and the Uwharrie National Forest. From sunrise to sunset, you will love our lake apartment with access to the pier for boating, fishing and swimming, etc.
Electronic keyless entry allows you to come and go as you please.
This wonderful location is a nature lover's paradise.
The space
You are welcome to bring your own boat and tie up to our deep water pier. For your enjoyment, we offer complimentary kayaks available for your use. By lake and by road there is access to golf, tennis and some restaurants. Additional activities like horse back riding, hiking, hunting, picnicking, nature viewing and ATV trails are all available in the adjoining 50,000 acre Uwharrie National Forest.
Your hosts have professional culinary talent and broad European travel experiences and can make gourmet dishes available to you with advance notice. Private, guided lake excursions by boat can also be arranged.
Other things to note
There is a $ 250 security deposit and is refundable if there is no damage and everything is left in good order.

The perfect romantic getaway! Absolutely stunning view with beautiful sunsets & sunrises!! We had an amazing stay and will 100% be back. Kim is such a wonderful host! Super clean and wonderfully decorated space with very comfy beds. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Retreat

Kim and Rainer were gracious hosts, and their apartment was cozy and well-appointed. We took advantage of the kayaks and patio area, and were really impressed by the all the thoughtful touches. Great stay!

Paradise along the lake

Kim and Rainer were amazing hosts. I would recommend their apartment to anyone looking for a beautiful escape to Lake Badin in North Carolina.

The apartment was top notch. Decorated so lovely and had everything we needed. You never know what you are going to get on a first stay but this exceeded our expectations. Host Kim and Rainer were delightful! Going to make this a stay for each season for sure.

AMAZING Weekend at Lake Badin

5-stars aren't enough to express our satisfaction with our experience with Kim and Rainer. From the reservation through end of weekend, everything was first-class. The property was perfect, continental breakfast was remarkable, and boat tour was awesome. We arrived as renters and left as friends. Would highly recommend and expect to be back again. As someone who travels frequently, I found this property exceeding several of the 5-star experiences on the road. Well done...Kim and Rainer!

The Truth!

I am that person who reads all the reviews both good and bad. I depend on them because I want to know the truth about the properties. So here goes: Kimberly was very responsive and accommodating, Ranier was super nice. Check in was easy, clear instructions, the property is beautiful, it is SPOTLESS, bed is comfy, bed linen was very nice, the description on posting is exact. The cakes she made was delicious and she has equipped the entire apartment with everything you need. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED if you are looking for a quiet low key break from the hustle and bustle.

Absolutely Incredible!!

This was, by far, the best place we have ever stayed (and we have stayed at a lot)! Kim and Rainer are incredible hosts. We had the privilege of meeting them but we had complete privacy in the apartment, the dock and the lake. The apartment is beautifully decorated and immaculate. We had everything we needed and Kim had provided so many special touches (homemade cinnamon crumb cake, orange juice, coffee, tea, condiments, fully stocked kitchen, towels for the lake, and so much more). We swam in the lake, and almost used the kayaks but a pop up thunderstorm hit us. We had the most special dinner served to us at the lake, prepared by Kim (a gourmet chef) with a little help from Rainer. :) It was the most magical moment and the food was absolutely incredible- the best bread I have ever had, the salad and the dressing was mouthwatering and we had chicken piccata which was also amazing. We also chose her delicious dessert. Words cannot describe what a wonderful time we had and we cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I have loved living at Badin Lake for almost 22 years. We feel we have created a Shangri-La like paradise with our home and surroundings. We are excited to share it with others with our new lake front apartment! I am a gourmet cook that does local catering and my husband is a retired German chemist. We hope we can share our little piece of Heaven with you!

The lakefront apartment is in a protected gated residential community and our guests will receive information for access. There is a boat ramp within the community for lake access. Several miles of paved walking trails are also in the community for hiking and biking. Our location is within an hour's drive from Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC.
