We can not say enough good things about this house, Geri, and chase the caretaker of the property. Geri was incredibly commutative and helpful from even before booking and helped to make sure everything was arranged for us before we arrived from transportation and groceries to a pack n play for our son. Once we arrived, Chase dedicated every day to essentially catering to us and everything we wanted to do. Chase was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. We’re already trying to find a time to come back!

Family Vacation

The property and amenities were great. Very clean and comfortable. The property manager was very friendly and helpful. My family really enjoyed the pool and the dock was very convenient. Beautiful spot and great location.

Spectacular stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Geri was a great host reaching out immediately after booking and providing local resources for cart and boat rentals and more. The view was spectacular. We loved sitting on the screened in porch overlooking the water. The home was charming and roomy and beautifully decorated. We loved the chef’s kitchen and so much more!!!

What a great stay!

We had such a great experience at this home! From the moment we arrived, Chase (caretaker of the property) was there to help us with our luggage off the boat and made sure we had everything we needed. Showed us how to use everything in the house, which by the way was so clean and decorated by Geri (owner) perfectly. We were unable to rent a golf cart, but Chase, thank goodness for him was there at all times on the property to make sure we had a ride to wherever we needed to go. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect island experience!

Dock of the Bay

This house and property is beautiful! Beautiful landscaping and furnishings. Truly a perfect vacation spot with beautiful views. Chase is the house manager and he is so helpful and accommodating. Very easy going and will take care of any needs. He also cooked one night for us. Best meal of our stay! Thank you Chase! You won’t be disappointed in booking this property!! Perfection!

Perfect!

This is an astonishing property that will exceed all your expectations. Geri has exquisite taste. The home is beautifully designed and decorated elegantly. Finishes especially in the kitchen and living spaces are elevated and luxurious. The gorgeous pool and dramatic ocean views! The Bahamas have many wonderful islands but the charm of Hope Town is second to none. Geri was superb in assisting with travel logistics including private ferry directly to the property.

Paradise

We have rented several vacation homes and stayed a many nice resorts over the years. Rarely do we arrive to find that things have exceeded our expectations, but this is one of those occasions. Dock of the Bay is in a perfect location overlooking the bay with stunning sunset views. The home is well equipped with everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and more than comfortable. Although we love spending time at Tahiti beach, we found it difficult to want to leave the comforts of the beautiful pool and luxurious backyard. This was truly a private resort and we look forward to visiting for years to come. Geri was excellent with helping us set up a private boat to and from the dock as well as setting up the golf cart. Their son Chase who lives on the property was incredibly helpful and friendly, but never intrusive. We were happy he was there. Thank you for opening your home to us.

I've been coming to Elbow Cay for almost 20 years, have rented well over a dozen houses, and am familiar with the majority of the houses on the Elbow Cay rental market. I'm confident that Dock of The Bay is the nicest two-bedroom house available for rent on the island. You typically need to commit to a 4-6 bedroom house to find new construction / recent renovation, high-end finishings and kitchen appliances, high-end and professional interior decorating, a backup generator, and most notably, waterfront location, a pool, and a private dock (which has power and water; also rare to find). Having all of that in a two-bedroom house is unheard of. Everything is tastefully done, from the interior decor to the gardens, to the backyard. The property is also very well maintained; while not intrusive in any way, workers were on site daily while we were away from the house, whether for pool maintenance, landscaping, or other general upkeep. Geri, the owner, was incredibly helpful coordinating logistics in advance of our stay. Her son Chase, who manages the property, is a terrific guy and a very talented chef. We invited him and his girlfriend out for an afternoon of lobster diving and spearfishing on our boat, then he cooked a wonderful dinner with our catch for us that night. Overall, I highly recommend Dock of The Bay to anyone with a small group looking for a luxury experience on Elbow Cay.

Research

I have rented various places mainly on Elbow Cay, but also other parts of the Bahamas as part of my research into eventually buying a place.Dock of the Bay was a very well cared for and landscape property. The property owners son Chace helped met us as we pulled up to the dock and helped us tie up the boat. It would’ve been extremely difficult for me to tie the boat up without his assistance, especially if there was any wind. The house itself was very well decorated the bedrooms and bathrooms were tight and the mattresses definitely need replacing because my wife and I kept rolling into each other on the queen beds. I had forgotten to rent a golf cart ahead of time and Chace was again very accommodating and picked us up in various places. We enjoy walking so we’d walk to most places for breakfast lunch and dinner and either have a shuttle otake us back or on a few occasions, Chace came and picked us up
