The Blackhawk Avenue Loft is located in the center of Historic Downtown Prairie du Chien. The apartment was recently renovated and is now available as a great getaway space. The loft is open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. hardwood floor throughout and tile in the bathrooms. You are within walking distance to the Mississippi River, St. Feriole Island and the Prairie du Chien Marina. All of the downtown restaurants, bars and shops are within one block or two from this location.

This property fit our needs perfectly. The owner was very kind and gave clear instructions. Check in and out was a breeze and the location was a perfect fit for us! I would definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed this place! It was great being right downtown with access to eat -drink-shop all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!

Such a great space. The hosts were quick to respond if I had a question. Little thoughtful additions, tissues etc. made our stay wonderful.

Nicely located property close to the Black Hawk which has great bands. The rooms were very clean however the stairway leading to the property need to be updated especially the back door area.

Excellent location

The owner was very communicative and ensured everything was ready for us. Very thoughtful! We were close to everything downtown and able to walk everywhere! Great place!

Great location

Myself and a few friends came down for St. Patrick’s day weekend. It is the perfect location within walking distance to all the bars and you can even watch the parade right from the living room. Will definetely consider coming again.

Great location

Inside is modern and great looking. Look. The stairs up to the rooms are in need of remodel. Kinda scary to be honest. But that’s it. I recommend and will stay there again without a thought.

Only complaints are air didn’t work. It was 80 degrees with one window air conditioner. And the washer/dryer cost 1.25 each and were located in main hallway. They were filthy and hallway was sketchy. Apartment itself was clean and property manager always responded quickly.

Worked well

Free off-street parking behind building a plus. Apt is on the second floor. Other apartments in the building. Stairway in was steep, unkept and odorous. Apt was clean. Quiet for being in a business area. Door in was street level between two businesses and a little difficult to locate at first. We enjoyed exploring the area from this location. Coffee pods appreciated as well as water bottles in refrigerator.

Great location!

Great place and location. Great communication with host. No hot tub as advertised but host said that it was a mistake and would correct the listing. Only issue was the neighbor woke us up several times yelling and cussing in the middle of the night. Host said they would address the issue. Thank you!

Nice apartment in downtown PdC

I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely loft apartment! Very comfortable and plenty of room for a girls weekend. It was very nice to be able to walk to some of our favorite restaurants & bars in the downtown area. I could easily walk to St F’s island, the park and The Villa Louis. My only recommendation for the owners ( as I have a VRBO rental in northern WI ) is to provide a few more cooking essentials like pots and pans in the kitchen. Thank you!

Friends weekend

The loft was cozy, clean and spacious. Location was convenient to shops and restaurants. Could have used hand towels and soap for the shower (bars or otherwise) There was a very loud neighbor who woke some of us in the middle of the night. Outside hallway was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke.
