Come stay in our 3-BR, 2-BA family home on Bogue Sound in beautiful Emerald Isle! Enjoy gorgeous views from the spacious deck or nap on the breezy screened-in porch. The sunsets across the Sound can't be beat. Kayak or paddleboard from the canal across the street or launch a boat at the larger public boat ramp a mile away. Ocean beach access is only 10 mins walking, 5 mins biking, or 3 mins in a golf cart!

Bedrooms: Primary with queen-size bed, guest with full-size bed, and a cozy room for kids with 2 sets of bunkbeds. Den also has a sleeper sofa.

Two full baths plus outdoor shower, gas grill, fully equipped kitchen including blender for all your favorite frozen drinks, beach chairs and toys, and 2 adult bikes - just bring helmets.

Close to restaurants, markets and attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. As our guest will tell you in their reviews, you will absolutely love your stay on EI!

Relaxing getaways

We had a great time here. The house was perfect for us. It's in a quiet neighborhood but close to the beach and local attractions, and overlooking the sound. The hosts were very communicative. They also have a nice binder full of local attractions, restaurants recommendations, maps, etc., that we found super helpful. It was a really nice touch.

This is a lovely place to stay. The location is great, the common areas are wonderful. The screened in porch is excellent. Things I wish were better: the beds were all very uncomfortable - we put a mattress on the floor and one of us slept on the couch. They have a major ant problem… we are a tidy bunch but we couldn’t keep the ants out of our food. We had a great trip, but wouldn’t stay here again.

This is the first complaint we have ever received about our mattresses so we will have to look into it for next season. However, we realize we definitely need a better mitigation strategy for the kitchen ants and will be working with our exterminator and cleaners to get it resolved ASAP.

Sound-side view

Staying on the sound-side lends itself to calm and relaxation. Having used VRBO many times, we have learned to lean towards owner managed properties. Doing so again for this property paid off. We would stay here again.

Place with a View

This is our second time staying at this lovely home. It has great views of the sound. Big fat bunnies that like to eat in the yard. It is perfect for our family. We had 3 teens and me and my spouse. The two living room areas make it perfect. They can watch their shows and we watch ours. Also plenty of games, puzzles, etc.. That keep us busy when in the home. Walk to the beach was not bad at all!! Would highly recommend this property to anyone. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly.

Amazing Getaway with Beautiful Water View

We truly enjoyed our stay on Emerald Isle. The water view from the kitchen, living room, and deck was fantastic, and there were lots of opportunities to observe a variety of birds (egrets, herons, pelicans, etc.). The yard is pretty and frequented by wild rabbits that we also enjoyed watching. The owners have done a great job with the space (indoors and out) - it is inviting, comfortable, and feels larger than the actual square footage would suggest. The decor is perfect - beachy but not overboard! The walk to the beach is exactly as described (10 minutes), and the beach wagon, chairs, etc., are nice to have available. We will definitely stay here when we come back to Emerald Isle!

This property was amazing! We had 7 of my family saying here. We all fit comfortably and were able to be together and separate at times. There were two amazing outdoor spaces to enjoy in the mornings and evenings for reading, coffee, adult beverages, enjoying the serene views, etc. We had so much fun seeing all the wildlife that came to visit while we were there. Bunnies, an entire deer family (the fawns were adorable!!!), and the egrets in the sound, and pelicans that flew overhead. The only issue for us was the sugar ants. The owners did state that the property gets them and there were ant traps that did help. However we had to put dry foods in the microwave and oven to prevent the ants from finding it. We weren't able to keep food in the pantry, a new box of Captain Crunch Berries got infested with ants. Bummer, but we fixed the issue after finding that out. We appreciated the use of the beach toys and wagon provided. We didn't have to pack any which saved us a ton of space in our car. The walk to the beach was super easy and close. Would definitely stay here again. The hosts were so quick to respond and so great! Thanks again, loved our stay!

We have an exterminator who comes monthly. For this issue, we had him come immediately to spray the interior and put out traps which seems to have helped. Unfortuately sugar ants do love sugar!
