Just 20 minutes from the airport, this property is centrally located among Southern Maine's best beaches, Portland's fine dining, and Sebago Lake's outdoor fun. You can fill your vacation with adventure or lounge around this private 4-acre property listening to the birds. A bonus glamping yurt (complete with traditional queen mattress), hammocks, and firepit is located in the back meadow--enjoy the stars and spot some wildlife.

The property also has direct access to the Sebago to the Sea Trail - 28 miles of walking and biking paths. The Presumpscot River is a half mile walk from the property via a nature trail. Note: The town is working on constructing additional trails on the Sebago to the Sea trail system. Possible unpredictable closures of trails summer 2025.

Will book again!

Our host was extremely helpful and great with communication. The property is a little slice of heaven nestled in the woods but a short distance from everything Windham has to offer. Peaceful and idyllic setting plus the yurt in the meadow was a fun bonus the kids loved. Will book again without hesitation. Thank you Shelby!

Long summer weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed a four-day weekend here. The house was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. It had everything we needed, including a well appointed kitchen. The four acres of grounds include several garden areas, a meadow and, as advertised, a yurt. It’s peaceful. Our hosts were friendly and responded quickly when we needed some assistance. We would stay here again.

Wonderful host, fun and funky property

Shelby was a terrific, communicative host who made the entire process very easy for us. The house itself is also great for multiple families, with a number of rooms for socializing and eating. Cool outdoor space too!

This property is beautiful inside and out. The ample choices of family rooms was perfect for our group and the outdoor spaces were a personal favorite of mine. We traveled with 7 friends and the space never felt crowded. 20 minute drive to Portland, and 15 minutes to Sebago Lake made our sightseeing days a breeze. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Beds were comfortable and rooms had plenty of storage space for luggage. The property has a portable a.c in the common room and master bed, There are fans and windows in all rooms and we lucked out that most of our trip was mild weather. The yurt was a fun addition and I recommend taking advantage of it!Overall we had a great time and would visit again. THANK YOU!

Amazing property & owner!!

This house is the perfect place if you’re looking for a true nature experience in Maine while being in close driving distance to Portland. The property is stunning and very clean. We utilized the yurt, campfire, and grill. The house is great for a large group and Shelby was incredibly helpful and responsive. I hope to return!!

Maine Vacation near Portland

We stayed at this property in August of 2024. The house was very clean and big enough for my family to all enjoy. The house sits on a very large lot with plenty of space to sit in the shade or enjoy the sunshine. Only about 20 min drive to Portland which made for nice day trips. Check in was extremely easy and our host was responsive to messages. I would recommend this home for a quiet stay in any season with the option to head to Portland easily.

July 4 Getaway

First of all, our host was delightful and so helpful in making our July 4 family excursion fun. The house was wonderful for our family of 5 kids. Lots of options for relaxing (and hiding places to get away from their siblings). We didn't get to use the yurt (it was the hottest week of the summer) but it looked like a great hideaway. The host gave us some great ideas that the kids loved. In addition to Portland fireworks, lighthouses, and the Freeport outlets, the kids' favorite was going swimming in the river and swinging off the rope - and jumping off the old railroad bridge int the river! And that little shop at the corner DID have great subs for packing in the car. Thanks again for making a great long weekend fun (and learning about how awesome an induction range can be!). P.S. Get up early, make a pot of coffee, and maybe you will see the mythical white squirrel (not kidding).

In my free time you'll find me knitting (it gets cold up here!), hitting a yoga class, or finding a top secret walking trail. I'm excited to share my home & my Pine Tree State with you.

The Pine Lodge is located on a dead-end, cul-de-sac road with no through traffic. There are a couple lovely neighbors around, but the pines offer plenty of privacy. The location is just out of town enough to enjoy rural, forested Maine--but close enough to attractions to have lots of coastal fun.
