Hermosa, espaciosa, 3 habitaciones, 2 baños, casa familiar en Berkshires ubicada en una calle privada en el estanque cristalino de Richmond con muelle privado para nadar y pasear en bote. Nuestra casa en Berkshires es cómoda y limpia, con pisos de madera, tragaluces, armarios espaciosos y paneles de madera. Ha sido recientemente renovado, con una nueva combinación de baño con ducha, lavaplatos nuevo, refrigerador nuevo, estufa nueva, lavadora y secadora de bajo consumo, y exuberantes jardines. Hay aires acondicionados en cada uno de los 3 dormitorios y uno abajo en la sala de estar / comedor. Hay muchos libros, juegos, una cocina totalmente equipada con una mesa y seis sillas, además de una mesa de comedor adicional con capacidad para 8. Ofrecemos ropa de cama limpia, un bote de remos, un kayak, un bote de remos, salvavidas y muchos juguetes acuáticos. La casa tiene capacidad para 7 personas en cómodas habitaciones. El aeropuerto de Albany está a 1 hora. Senderismo, ciclismo y esquí acuático están disponibles.

Absolutely incredible place. Perfect location for things to do in western MA and the backyard lake was so much fun to take the boats out on. Very clean accommodations and the amenities were all in perfect working order.

The host and home were both excellent. The house is centrally located in the Berks and was a short drive to all the major attractions including Pittsfield, Lenox and Tanglewood. Compared to other places I've stayed in, I thought that the kitchens and baths were both well stocked. The decor is charming and extremely clean! 5 stars would definitely stay again!

Cabin in the woods with all the exotic and romantic flavor included. Owner extremely helpful. This is the place if you want to be near all the major events of Berkshires ahd yet have a super get-away-lodge....with a super owner....this is the place!!!

A perfect place to retreat right off the water with a dock to enjoy the views. Quiet and peaceful. It was just my daughter, me, and our little Chihuahua that came to the area for a few days of prayer and interior peace at The National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. It was the perfect spot to come back to after a full day with God. Peaceful! The home is spacious and comfortable to fit a good sized family or friends. Full kitchen to use. Internet. All the needs one would want.Big windows in the sitting room that bring in the sun. Good hot water shower and sinks.Neighborhood cats, rabbits, and birds about. 8 min ,at most, drive to Mazzeos Italian restaurant, it was SO good. Plenty of shopping areas and stores and other restaurants to get your needs.This spot is affordable among many that aren't!A lovely place I would return.

Great location for exploring the area. It was nice to have the access to the water (as others mentioned - the house is not on the water but it is a short walk away) and we appreciate that it was pet friendly. The house is private and quiet. It was clean on arrival but with no heat on, it was about 40 degrees and so we have to leave our coats on while we waited a few hours for the older baseboard heaters to warm up and there is no heat in the primary bath.Many furnishings in the home are very worn out and made for a very uncomfortable and disappointing stay. The bed in the primary is collapsed in the middle and was very uncomfortable for two adults and so my wife slept upstairs, however could hear mice running in the ceiling above her making for little sleep. The bedding is also worn out with flat pillows. The furniture in the living room is eclectic but not comfortable for sitting in - the main seating option is a futon with several older wooden chairs as other options. Outside seating is better.Kitchen has good appliances but few supplies and many of the pans and utensils are in poor condition.Overall a quaint house with access to a great pond and perfect for exploring the Berkshires but updating beds, bedding, furniture, and guest supplies is sorely needed for this to be comfortable for guests at the price charged.

We apologize that our cleaner forgot to turn the heat on for you. The furnishings have been updated—including the bed. There are absolutely no mice in the ceiling or anywhere else. – we have a monthly pest control service and are fastidious about this - you probably heard squirrels or chipmunks scampering across the roof. We have a plethora of pillow of various sizes in the closets. The living room seating includes a futon/couch, an upholstered chair with ottoman, and 2 rocking chairs with cushions, as pictured in our photos. The dining room chairs were recently refurbished (sanded and stained). We have a full array of cast iron pans plus new stainless steel pots, pans, and utensils.

We booked this place because of the mention of lake view. There really isn't a lake view at all though from the house as it is set back behind another house and has lots of trees in between as well. To get a view you need to walk to the dock which isn't far, but still not from the house. With no view, the house is expensive especially when you add in extra fee for any people over 2 occupancy (even though it sleeps 7; 30/day/person over 2). Living room furniture also needs to be updated to be more comfortable as futon sofa and other brown chair can't sit in for long. Pet friendly but you pay 30/day/pet. The air conditioners let in a lot of cold air as well since the sealing around it was only okay (only an issue depending on time of year - when we were there it was dropping into low 40/high 30s at night so we piled on the blankets to sleep even with heat on). It is in a good area so easy access to a lot of activities/nearby towns. Owner was responsive. It was clean, hot water in shower, lots of blankets, and kitchen was well stocked with items you'd need. Overall however we expected a lot more for the price as we've stayed in other places nearby which had a view and more comfortable. We wanted to try another lake which does look like it would be fun in warmer weather and we heard a lot from people we encountered about the fishing in it.

Some things to note:The house is not on the lake, it's maybe a hundred yards from the lake, and there is another house between this house and the lake, preventing lake views. The private dock is cool but, on our visit, smells bad - like dead fish.If you are traveling with kids or pets you should note the house is kind of close to the road, and the yard is in front of the house, not the back. Inside, the cabin is kind of dark and dingy, furnishings and lighting feel old and worn. There's not great comfortable seating for a group. Great dining table but not lounging space.There are window a/c units in the bedrooms - upstairs ones are quite noisy.There was a cockroach in the outdoor shower shed. The host has strict requirements about cleaning the house and laundering linens (above a hamperful) before you leave, or else you'll be charged an additional fee. Some good things:The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the knives are sharp - but BYO everything including S&P, oil, coffee, etc. Good internet. Plenty of sheets and towels and dishes and life vests. Rowboat was fun. All in all it feels expensive for what we got.

We have two spacious lots: one lakeside with our private dock, and one adjacent with hour home that has a large front yard, as seen in our photographs. Our listing reads “Private Dock on Lake.” Richmond Pond was treated with weed control during this stay, causing a temporary odor that is now totally gone. The Pond is one of the most pristine in the region. Our home is on a private road with very little traffic. The rooms are exactly as pictured in our photographs: light and sunny, as our other numerous reviewers have noted. The main living room has wall to wall sliding doors, a couch/futon, a comfortable armchair with ottoman stool for your feet, and 2 vintage rocking chairs, and several side tables. There is A/C in every room and if there is a problem with them, we fix it immediately. The shower in the outdoor shed may attract a spider but there are definitely no cockroaches in the 40 years we have lived there. We work with our guests about how much laundry they can leave; for example, just ask us about leaving dirty linens on the beds, and we will accommodate. Our rental rates are below market rates in our region. We aim to serve our guests!

This renter has rented from us 4 years in a row for over a month each year and has also reserved for 2023. I think “non-modern” refers to our vintage furniture and antique folk art decorations; our appliances have all been replaced in the last 6-8 years (refrigerator, stove, dish washer, high energy washer/dryer) and our master bath/shower was remodeled recently. In 2023 our parking area and private road will be paved.

Relaxing

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful spot. The house had everything I needed and more.It was clean and well equipped. I particularly enjoyed the private dock where I could take my dog swimming just about every day. This is what a vacation getaway should be.....relaxing!It's a great location for hitting different areas in the Berkshires. It's a quiet neighborhood as well.

Beautiful Location

Lovely well equipped cottage on Richmond Pond Lake Access with dock and quality watercraft . Outstanding Living room/solarium. Very quiet but close to shopping and entertainment.
