Hi Josephine, Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately air conditioning is not used in many homes at all in the mountains. As the temps get down into the 40's at night all summer, an open window will cool the home. We do have standing fan's in the bedroom closet should they be needed. The broken blind slat on the window has been replaced. We do require you to dispose of your own trash. Trash piled in the garage does create a problem with local wildlife (ant's, rodents, etc.). The walk is 150 yds, but some guests will put on the back of their car if they feel the walk is too long. There is no curb pick up service available in the neighborhood. I was happy to hear in your direct email that you enjoyed your stay and thought the home was beautiful!
