We had a great time and are hoping to stay again next year. The management team was very helpful as we planned our first stay on Goat Island. The property was as described. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Goat Island house. Love the exclusivity of being on an island yet near the marina and restaurants. The boat is always in the water and ready to go at a moments notice. By the way, there is good depth of water at the float dock at low tide so exiting at anytime is a good thing. From our dock, we travel the ICW north and did some great fishing in Bulls Bay or traveled south to Charleston Harbor and Shem Creek for dinner. Priceless!!

First time Gost Island experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time staying at this house. It is a beautiful home .We recommend bringing some more towels as there were only a few .we thoroughly enjoyed the dock and the screened in porch. The cleaning at the house could have been better. Dirty footprints in the bath tub and dirty wet blankets left in the washing machine started to sower causing a smell throughout. This would not stop us from renting again. The house is in the perfect location for taking trips to the islands by boat. Great memories with our children.

Manger was very accommodating and let us check in a few hours early. He answered all our questions a few days before arrival. There were plenty of extra propane tanks for the gas grill or propane stand for boil. We were able to fit a 17' skiff on the front side of the dock, 2 jet skis on the side and a small jon boat on the backside of the dock. The pierhead is covered and great for watching the boats go by. At lowtide there is usually 2-3 feet depending on the moon cycle. High tide was usually 7-9 feet. The screened in porch with large yeti cooler was great. Be sure to keep the screen doors locked to keep the critters out. In addition to the 3 bedrooms are 2 large lofts, both with beds and a couch and enough room for an air mattress. This is a great location as it is 200 yards from the marina with easy access to shuttle visitors back and forth. It is also only a 10 min boat ride to Capers beach and about 3 minutes of idle speed before you are out of the no wake zone headed north on the ICW. This is our 3rd visit to the property and we are never disappointed. Great house and a even better location! Recommended.

Our 2nd year in a row, family stay-cation, at Goat Island House

The dock and it's design remind us of our old home where I raised my children, on the south side of town, Stono River. For the 2nd year, we have celebrated my son's birthday there. We alert our friends of where we will be, and so many stop by throughout the week and say Hi! These familiar fishing waters allow my son and his friends to jump on the boat anytime to go fishing. It is dreamy in that regard! We hope to come back!

Spent every evening on the covered dock and nights enjoying the spacious screened in porch. Floating dock was perfect for our 21' boat and we made regular day trips up and down the ICW, and to the marina store across the way. Cooper made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond with questions about check in/check out, etc. Will definitely be back!
