Welcome to our lovely place located at 65 Cherry Street in the charming city of Meriden, Connecticut. Our rental offers a comfortable and spacious living space equipped with all the amenities you need to make you feel at home.

Inside, you will find a cozy living room with ample seating, a flat-screen TV with cable programming, and high-speed Wi-Fi internet access. Each bedroom also comes equipped with its own television, so you can relax and unwind in your own private space. On the basement, you will have access to a laundry room so you don't have to take your laundry elsewhere.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to cook your meals during your stay, featuring a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and stovetop. There are two comfortable bedrooms with plush beds, soft linens, and plenty of pillows to ensure a good night's rest.

Our place is located close to a variety of local attractions, including the Hubbard Park, a sprawling park with walking trails, picnic areas, and a castle atop a hill. For wine lovers, there’s Gouveia Vineyards, an award-winning winery with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. If you are a history buff, we're close to the historic Castle Craig in Meriden, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Looks like pictures but LOUD

This is a first-floor unit (some steps to enter as seen in photos) in an older house. We could hear everything from the upstairs tenants, including water in the pipes anytime they showered and their TV. In addition, the house is very near to a train crossing and so there were train horns all day. They continued until after 10pm. The unit was sort of clean, but the floors were not mopped well or at all (our bare feet were dirty from walking around) and there were a couple of dead bugs on the floor; it looked like the furniture wasn’t moved during vacuuming. Check in was easy, the unit and front doors locked with a code provided by the owner. We did have a miscommunication with the owner that was resolved quickly and reasonably, but there were other (minor) issues that were never addressed. Hot water was plentiful and water pressure was nice. The smaller bed and kitchen chairs were NOT comfortable. The fridge doors had their handles removed, so we had to open from the top. Shorter people definitely would have an issue with this. This was my first time doing VRBO and I’m not sure I will do it again, based on this experience. I understand it’s not a hotel, but it was disappointing.

Firstly, we would like to clarify that there were no miscommunications regarding our property being a non-smoking unit. As clearly stated in the listing, smoking is strictly prohibited in the unit. While we understand that you have a medical marijuana card, it does not permit smoking in our accommodation. To ensure the comfort and well-being of all our guests, we kindly request that smoking be done in designated outdoor areas only. Regarding the steps leading to the first floor, we apologize if this was not made explicitly clear. In regards to the cleanliness of the floors, we assure you that our cleaning team thoroughly cleans and mops the floors between each guest's stay. However, it is important to note that despite our best efforts, particles in the air can settle on surfaces between cleanings. We recommend wearing footwear to prevent your feet from getting dirty, especially if you plan on walking barefoot. Lastly, we acknowledge that our property's proximity to the Metro North may not be suitable for all guests. However, we have included this information in the property description to ensure that guests are aware of this convenient transportation option. Many of our guests find it beneficial for accessing nearby attractions and getting around the city. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for choosing our property. It is an older home. I truly believe our stay was more comfortable than we would’ve been in a hotel and for the price it was a good fit for us as we’re not that bougie!! The bathroom could use a little TLC with the towel rack bottom left was detached from the wall and the med cabinet was also very loose as well as the sink was detaching from the wall. The kitchen chairs do need to be replaced as the legs of the chairs were very unstable to sit on. There was also a stain on the comforter in the room with the bunkbed. As far as to the description on the listing. I would just state that it is not in an upscale neighborhood so if this is what you used to; this Rental is not for you. I would also explain that if you are a light sleeper, this also may not be a rental for you as a train will go by almost every hour throughout the night. The best part: the apartment was bug free.
