The HVAC temp was kept at 80 even with the additional widow units and fans. We could not get the temperature to cool any lower than 80. Not very comfortable when trying to fall asleep at night. The dryer was broken as well . The yard wasn’t taken care off so it had a lot of weeds growing in the front.so we used the side door that lead to the alley parking area.

Great stay in CO

Myself and family enjoyed the stay in CO very much. Besides everything we did in Colorado it was nice going back to a place that felt like home. Will most definitely 5 star this amazing experience and stay!

Very clean and quiet. Dustin was a great host, with quick responses to questions and great communication. A little frustrating that it is listed as having A/C, but the unit was not good enough to actually cool down the house. There were portable A/C units in the back bedroom and the living room and a window unit in the kitchen, but if you weren't in the room with one of these, it was way too hot. One bedroom didn't have a screen, so we couldn't open the window to try to cool that room down at night.

This house was adequate for what we needed but lacked in many aspects. When we showed up all the towel were folded and placed on the beds but felt like they had been taken out of the wash a put on the beds, never hit the dryer. 4 of the 6 chairs in the kitchen were broken and unusable, we of course only found this out after sitting in one and falling off, thankfully only minor bumps, could have been worse. Living room had food crumbs in the couch under the furniture etc.. Kitchen doesn't have enough plates, utensils etc. for the 8 people that can sleep there so we had to share alot, thankfully our family is close. Only salt and pepper in the cabinets so if you plan on doing any cooking make sure to bring everything you need. The house did have enough pots and pans so that was nice. The small air conditioning units struggled to keep the house at a moderate temperature, we were there when the temperature was hovering around 98 but would have been nice to have a cool house.Pictures show a bunk bed on one room yet explanation show a double bed, the picture was correct.

Great Place to Stay

Our stay at Dirtbag Cavern was excellent. Access was easy, the house was clean & comfortable, with spacious bedrooms. Excellent, speedy communication with the owner, it was a very smooth and pleasant experience. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Excellent location!

This house was 20 minutes or less from all the vacation attractions we visited. The house checked all the boxes we needed, with the exception of the neighborhood, but we had no issues at all, it completely satisfied our needs, and was reasonably priced!!!

My family and I stayed at the Dirtbag Cavern and we enjoyed our stay there albeit short. Both Dustin and Patriot were very responsive and very kind. The property is clean and well maintained! Definitely will return if I pass through CO again!

Perfect for our family!

Dustin was super responsive and very attentive. The home was exactly as it was listed and was super clean! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was close to the activities that we were wanting to do. About 15 minutes away from Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls and Manitou Springs. If we ever visit Colorado Springs again, we will check if Dirt Bag Cavern is available :)

House was bigger than i thought frim listing

Nice house , big kitchen and bedrooms . Updated bathrooms and laundry. We were very happy with the size. Perfect for our big family. Could have been a little cleaner kitchen floor had an old spill under the table and was sticky and when we stripped the sheets ,the mattress pad had old stains on it .in the masterbedroom

House was in great condition and clean. Very comfortable beds. Air mattresses that was provided for making it to sleep 10 was just ok. They were out of air during the middle of the night. So bring your own..

Neighborhhod and area seened older and somewhat run down. Inside of house was nice and clean. Pots and kitchen utinsols were wore out and flimsy. No central air conditioner but 2 window units that didnt keep up on whole house. Good communication with caretaker overall.

Location is great to access several sites by car. Not as nice of a neighborhood to walk around. Traffic noise in front of house (kitchen, living room) but bedrooms were nice. Property owner is remote and did not know that keys to bypass the keypads were the wrong keys. We were locked out of the property when the keypad batteries died. (Front door’s was dead when we arrived, side door worked once). Slept in car, Sunday morning property owner was able to send someone to work on keypads. They ended up crawling through a window and figured out the battery issue. Property owner has assured us they’ll get correct keys for future guests- but charged us full price for the two nights because we got in once!!
