Sits on a hill facing the beautiful Black River Bridge on the Kal-Haven Trail. Own private access on property to the trail and walk or ride bikes just minutes to South Haven. Two patios to enjoy Black River & Kal Haven Trail views, grill, eat, and relax. Main floor queen bedroom, second floor queen bedroom & king family suite. 2 full baths- stall shower main floor with washer & dryer combo, another bath/shower on second floor.

Work Trip

Stayed here while working in the area. Enjoyed being able to take the kayaks out in the evening, fish, and run on the trail. Great property if you like the outdoors.

Wonderful access to nature!

Our family enjoyed the outdoor amenities. Ample space inside and outside. Clean and well kept. Very nice and comfortable! Would stay here again!

Picturesque riverfront home

This is a beautiful home with stunning views of the river and bridge of the adjacent Kal-Haven trail (looks like a scene from a picture or painting). The property the house sits on is extremely spacious and had lots of room for our furry friends to run. It is secluded but still close to everything. Overall a very delightful stay and we would definitely return!

Cozy cottage

The blue cottage was very clean. It is tucked away in the trees, which makes it feel very cozy and quaint. We stayed there as a family of four with two boys(4 and 2), and there was so much space for them to play outside. The property is only 5 minutes from downtown South Haven and the beach! Overall, we loved our stay and plan to book again!

4th of July Weekend

What a wonderful getaway! We were looking for a peaceful spot away from Chicago for two of us and our mini-Australian Shepherd. This is an excellent, huge piece of property overlooking the river right on the convenient and scenic Kal-Haven trail. We walked the trailed, mostly paved, right into South Haven daily to enjoy the restaurants and shops. Su Casa with host Edgar was our favorite. Cottage hosts and family were so communicative and kind. The home is immaculate and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend. Thanks, too, to our hosts, who brought over some fresh, locally picked blueberries on our way out of town.

Great accommodations!

Host was excellent at communicating. This place has everything you need. Cozy decor and comfy beds. Close to downtown South Haven. The river frontage was nice. The property had a lot of outside noise due to the close proximity to the highway, but inside was quiet. It was nice to have extra room to walk around. Highly recommend!

Cute & Clean Cottage

Cute cottage tucked in the woods but just minutes to the heart of South Haven. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well stocked- better than other more established rentals we've stayed in- no need to bring/buy your own paper towels, dish soap, plastic wrap, or extras like disposable plates, cups, silverware because there were actually enough for the 6 of us for more than one meal. Those little things make a difference. The cottage slept more than we realized with the extra closet bed and pull out chair room. All of our kids were happy to have their own little space while my dad stayed downstairs as those stairs were a little dauting for him. Internet/tv is spotty. It goes out regularly and predictably with rain.

Not Enough Time 😊

Our family had an amazing four day visit in South Haven and staying at this cozy cottage! The Cottage was perfect and very welcoming! The upstairs area was perfect for my 14 year old daughter and her 3 friends. Gave them a sense of privacy, while we were right downstairs. Everything that we needed was provided and it felt like we were right at home! Being so close to the river and the trail was awesome! Just wish we had more time! We made some amazing memories 😎

Perfect woods oasis in the middle of everything!

We loved this wonderful little slice of Heaven in the woods. It is perfectly placed to be close to everything you want to do but tucked just far enough back to forget you're that close. There is a Wal-Mart and lots of restaurants close by and the beach is just minutes away. Lindsey & Grant were some of the best hosts we've had. During our stay a HUGE storm came through and dumped 4 inches of rain in a couple hours. It washed out the driveway and kicked off the water softener system which we noticed in the morning. Grant was there within 30 mins of me sending a message to not only fix the water system but he brought heavy equipment to fix the driveway immediatelyas well. They are both incredibly nice and accommodating and very fast with their communication. The cottage was clean and well stocked and the beds we slept in were superb. 10/10 we will be staying at this amazing slice of paradise again. Just hope we can get reservations again once the word gets out about this perfect vacation spot.

Enjoy South Haven

Great location with Kal-Haven trail in its backyard. South Haven 5 minute drive. Location in a a beautiful forested area away from crowds. Home has everything you can think of to be comfortable.
