It is a great place for anyone who wants to stay near the ocean. There is no air conditioning which requires one to keep the windows open for ventilation and temperature control. This means one will hear surroundings including crowing roosters, other guests/residence, and landscapers. There were also ants, a dead cockroach, and droppings in the kitchen cupboard.

Charming...Cozy...Quiet

This is our second time staying at Kapaa Sands. This was a different unit we stayed in yet absolutely adore this property. We love the small beach cove area!! My fiance surprised me with an engagement proposal on that little cove!!! We have found a special place here. It is well kept, both the grounds as well as the units. We love the remodeled units, it keeps the "local" charm and feel!!

The room was even better than listed! Perfect for 2 people, very updated look and feel. Lots of character! Everything we needed was within easy walking distance. No need for a car (we like to walk). We will definetly be back!

Perfect Tropical get away

This little spot is perfectly tucked away on a quiet property to give us privacy with a small ocean view from the lanai. The space was perfect for my husband and myself. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in. We also appreciated the beach chairs to add comfort during our stay. Thanks for attending to the details.

Great place in a nice location! But note that there is no AC.

A great property to stay at and enjoy Kauai. Very clean and had a nice kitchen and living area. I also enjoyed that it was central to Kauai, so we could travel north and south pretty easily. One thing that I didn’t note was that the place doesn’t have AC. I hadn’t noticed that it wasn’t listed as an amenity because I unfortunately assumed places would have it! Which is something I should have looked at. There is a nice ocean breeze and fans available which helped, but it was definitely too warm for my husband.
