Disfrute de un momento en familia en la sala de cine en casa con un televisor de pantalla grande o juegue al billar. Hay algo para todos en el "Sea Shellter".

8 CATV con reproductores de DVD y 3 con sonido envolvente (6 televisores de pantalla plana habilitados para WiFi, 7 televisores de pantalla plana con capacidad de transmisión). La piscina privada es de 16x30. We loved our stay at Sea Shelter! Great location, very clean, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen. Beautiful pool, views, and great common areas. We would definitely choose this house again!

Friend’s Trip

We had a wonderful time visiting NC. We came from all over to US for a friend’s vacation and it was fantastic! Our house accommodated all of us and the kitchen was awesome to prepare meals in together. It was a great trip and a great house.

Great spot for large group

Lots of “oh wows, this is so great” Easy beach access and large comfy rooms. Having two dishwashers and fridges was soo convenient - 4 masters was perfect for us Huge negative was the elevator not working (when we initially reserved was not mentioned) Also the stove has quirky issues All in all a lovely home, our vaca experience was spot on

The heated pool, huge kitchen, and all the decks were the biggest hits for our family. The only thing we had trouble with were some of the electronics and weak wifi. However, we the weather was perfect most days so we were able to be out and about most of the time.

I seriously can't think of one negative thing about the house! Beach is in quick walking distance as is the outer banks fishing pier! Grocery store near by and a few good restaurants without all the car traffic. Love love love this place- see you next year!

The kitchen was very organized and well stocked with utensils and appliances. Bikes came with the house which the kids had a blast with. The captain’s loft was a hit. The hot tub was an added asset. I only wish the pool was open, but understand that most of the rental properties don’t open their pool till May. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!!!

We went out there during our Christmas vacation. The kitchen and main hall are huge. The surprise was game/theatre room on the ground floor and lookout room on the top-floor. Kids had a great time. Our mother enjoyed elevator as she didn't have to climb the floors. Our recommendation is to visit this house anytime during the year, come with a large family/friends and enjoy it's large space.

Great views and layout, TLC needed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house had a great layout and was well-stocked all around. The ocean views and pool were great. However, the outside condition of the house was poor; the grass needed cutting, general landscaping was needed, and the rails and siding were covered in algae and muck. The latches on the pool gates were also broken. Overall, this home could really use some upgrades and TLC inside, as well, for the price being charged to guests—namely the carpeting. We loved the kitchen with the double dishwashers and refrigerators. The elevator was also nice and came in handy when bringing groceries upstairs.

Loved it!

Our only complaint would be with the elevator! Was not working, being in our 60’s all the steps with luggage and groceries trucking up 4 flights of stairs was a killer. @ lest they could have docked some money! Or open the pool 🤷‍♀️ just annoying that this happened. Washer wouldn’t go through a spin cycle. That being said we absolutely loved it! The dinner table sat all of us ❤️ Thanks Harriet

OBX Vacation Fall 2019

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: i would definitely recommend Sea Shellter to OBX vacationers. The property description was accurate in all areas but in real life the home was even better than the pictures showed! The property was clean and well maintained except for a pile of dirt that was left directly in front of the basement door. I paid $400 in advance to have the pool heated and the weather was very warm so the pool seemed chilly. We just happened to be in the pool Tuesday afternoon when the pool maintenance guy came and we mentioned to him that we felt the pool should be warmer. He checked it and came out and said "I turned it up at little." Evidentally the heater had not been on because almost immediately warm water started flowing in and then the pool became divine!!! We lost 3 days of pool heat due to employee error but we still had to pay for it.

Our Last Full Family Vacation: 26 years at OBX

This vacation included family from 78 years old (in wheelchair)to our great grandson of 2 months & every age inbetween.The home is beautiful and furnished wiith everything & anything you could want. The location is the best, short walk to beach & beautiful views. The pool area was perfect for our assorted ages & one in a wheelchair. We enjoyed many family dinners & lots of seafood so the big table was perfect. I don't normally do negative but I think owners need to know, the floors in kitchen & bathrooms were very dirty. our feet were black just moving in (we always remove shoes inside) so my daughter mopped them all. The large oven did not work. The small one did but it was too small for sheet pans. The bedroom with the crib had dirty sheets on the bed, either caked, dried blood or feces. We changed it. We also found 3 credit cards on the floor beside the bed and turned them in to the rental company. I know you can't do anything about the driveway but I think you need to note on your pictures how steep it is. Not much parking so we had to have 2 trucks park on the main road the whole week. While we loved the home & layout & pool, we would not rent again because of the driveway. Thank you for the elevator, he is a disabled veteran & was able to be a part of everything.

A great week but some maintainence concerns

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I want to start off to say we had a great week of vacation....however there are some items that need to be addressed with this home. I will start off with the good....the pool area is very nice, love the new patio set at the pool. The pool is spacious and we loved the stair area of the pool. The lower level had my teens very happy playing video games on a 70 inch tv. The elevator was perfect for my family member who has mobility issues. The second level was laid out well and nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom with large garden bathtubs. The top floor was where we spent most of our time. The dining set fit all 13 of us at the same time which was very nice. The outside decks were perfect for watching the deer in the backyard nightly. The kitchen had had plenty of utensils, dishes, bakeware and plates/cups. Having two large side by side fridges was very helpful. The views from all decks are wonderful!Now for the needs....the dishwashers in the kitchen need to be replaced. The left one doesn’t wash at all and the soap dispenser inside it would not open. They are also very loud.. The right side refrigerator had a water leak in the ice maker that someone knew about because when we arrived two sponges were stacked on top of each other to soak up the water and water was on the floor. We called Saturday, part ordered but not replaced until Thursday so we lost 50% or our ice for most of the week. When we arrived there was a garbage bag with dirty stinky diaper on the front porch. The internet was unplugged and took multiple phone calls to fix. Mold in the master shower, water damage in one of the bathrooms second floor. The rust on the garage door and the peeling paint on the outside of the house on the deckswas surprising. I understand the elements are hard on the homes but this should be a yearly maintenance item. There are areas on the top deck with nail pops and wood going bad. Again we enjoyed the week, items need to be fixed.

Double dishwasher and refrigerators, updated washer and dryer are all a plus!! The upstairs AC does not cool as well as the rest of the house. 2 burners on the stove would not light up. The elevator was a life safer with all the luggage and groceries we had for the week. The house could use some TLC and general upkeep. There were vines growing on the deck, algae at the front door, beginning of rot of some decking/porches. We were able to check in earlier than 6:00 pm but the key code did not work. The management company could not get it to work either when they came, they told us they would call back to give us a new code, but we had to call them. They did call the next day to check up on it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in our home away from home and would rent this home again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a very nice home with a great kitchen and great view space from balconies. The location is nicely positioned away from heavy traffic but close to the beach, restaurants, shopping and other islands. It has nice theater, gaming, hot tub and pool features. Our first visit was in 2016 and we have visited another 4 times since. It was a bit "dusty" this visit and it appears tenants have not been as a attentive to the care of the premises on their visits. We are planning another visit.

Our favorite place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always have a great time at Sea Shellter and we had a wonderful time this past month. I do understand it's towards the end of the season and the house could use a deep cleaning. My biggest gripe was there's some delayed maintenance on items, the gate to the pool wouldn't latch and I was worried about our little guy wandering in (broken hinge) and the dryer was not working properly near the end (probably needs to be replaced). Outside of these things we had a really great time and will be looking to come back in the future. Pool was amazing for the kids and they always do a great job keeping the pool and hot tub clean!

We spent most of the time on the top floor. it would have been nice to use the elevator for groceries and luggage however it was out of order. No biggie. tons of space for everybody to have a spot if you bring kids. Thank you for sharing your property.

Great Offseason Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful property. We had 14 people, including 6 kiddos and it provided so much space for everyone to have room. Loved the size of the kitchen and dining area for our large group to cook most nights and serve family style meals. Having the hot tub and pool table were great with the cooler weather. Kitchen was well stocked but could probably use a refresh on some of the stocked pans as some weren't useable. One of the refrigerator panels for water dispensing on the front was in need of repair as it had exposed electrical. But outside of those really minor things it was a great stay!
