Welcome to our charming, newly renovated home with all new furniture, fixtures and appliances nestled in the heart of picturesque Door County! Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home on 1+ acres in the woods after a day at the beach, kayaking, hiking or wine tasting. Enjoy your morning coffee on the new front deck in the morning sun or on the new back deck overlooking a flagstone patio with firepit and seasonal creek. Only 10 minutes from Egg Harbor that features many restaurants, shopping, coffee, excellent sunsets over the marina and beach. Murphy Park and several acres of public hiking trails are within 5 minutes. Level 2 EV charger available on site at no extra cost. NEMA 14-50 outlet, bring your own cord.

Wonderful and Charming!

Everything about the Cat’s Lair is wonderful and charming. It’s very close to Egg Harbor. The fire pit was great as well. We were all comfortable. Highly recommended.

We need a place to stay for the door county century ride. This was between egg Harbor and Sturgeon Bay so it worked out great.

Birthday Celebration

Stayed to celebrate my mom’s and aunt’s birthdays. Plenty of room for our 6 family members. Everything was sparkling clean and the check in check out process was very easy. The wooded location was very pretty as well. We would stay here again.

Door County Triathlon

Lucky to get this rental so close to Frank Murphy park as base camp for the weekend tri races held in and around Egg Harbor. Rory was clear and helpful in his messaging to me and we had a great stay at the Cat’s Lair! Would highly recommend to any family looking for a clean and secluded rental as a launching point for enjoying everything that Door County has to offer.

Perfect for overflow family group

This property was the perfect place and size for 3 couples and 3 children. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and the fire pit was a hit! Quick and easy code in and the information booklet and check out policies were very detailed.

Reliving Door County

My parents spent many summers sailing around Door County. They wanted to relive some of those good times at 88 and 92. This home was comfortable for two couples and close to everything they wanted to see and do. Thanks for a great trip down memory lane.

Our family of 5 rented Cat’s Lair last minute due to problems with a different booking. Rory was super responsive and helpful in accommodating our needs. The house was the perfect size and we loved the quiet, central Door County location. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed. We were not able to use the lovely fire pit area due to rain, but would have enjoyed it under better weather circumstances. We highly recommend staying here and would do so again!

This home was built by my father and I in 2007. It was their Door County getaway many times a year until he passed away in 2022. It brings us great joy to keep the home in our family and share it with yours. You will find that the area is very peaceful and relaxing, away from the crowds but close to the action if desired. Deer, turkeys, owls and pileated woodpeckers are common sights. In the spring, there is a seasonal creek at the back of the property that give it extra charm.

The home is unique as it was designed by my father who was an artist. The home is open, inviting and very quiet. The flagstone patio in the woods is one of a kind and perfect for families looking to get away.
