Noisy and non responsive

The check in went smoothly even though it was hard to get a response from the host leading up to our stay. That was the last time we had any contact. We asked for help several times and heard nothing back. The heat wouldn’t turn off, the window at ground level had to be left open to compensate. It was very noisy from the street and the inside hallway. All night people were coming and going buzzing and slamming the door just on the other side of the wall from our bed. Terrible sleep and host was unreachable. I wouldn’t stay again. We moved down the street after our three nights.

Earls Court stay

We were quite disappointed in the small studio we were given. It was not the same nicer looking and larger studio shown in the listing on which we based our reservation. Some of the furniture was badly chipped. The space was cramped. One light and the television did not work. Getting information about the check-in procedure was not smooth. The listing advertised both a washer and a dryer, but there is only a washer available. We realize that the price of this unit is low by London standards, but feel that the quality of the experience, even at this price range, is poor.

Abysmal communication. Emailed them twice the night before to just get address. A flurry of further emails the next day resulted in key/ entry instructions given half an hour before check in time. Which is 10 am, not 4pm as per website! Stair carpet laid immed post war I’d say, oh and don’t bother about communicating about no tea towel, dish cloth, remote for TV, only one spoon and one cup and no cereal bowls, or no washing machine or dryer. They won’t bother to reply. Rooms at seedy end of shabby, need a good clean. If you don’t have a bad back you will by the time you leave, mattress purchased immed post war as well, that’s WW2. As per other comments only good point is location. Amazed it’s on VRBO app, unless that stands for Very Regrettable Booking Option

Sehr gute Lage. Alles schnell erreichbar( 2 min zum Earlcourt, 3 min zum Bus Linie 74. Gaben fast nichts für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel aus ( Oystercard, 30 plus 7 Pfund, inkl. 2mal Weg zum Airport Heathrow) Personal, wenn anwesend, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Langzeitmieter und Hotelgäste angenehm. Sehr ruhig. Zustand der Zimmer sauber, aber heruntergekommen, eng, Möbel beschädigt und ( aus Brockenhaus?) zusammengewürfelt. Tisch im Doppelzimmer war ein Brett an der Wand mit nur einem Stuhl. Zwei Einzelbetten bestellt, alle Zimmer haben aber nur Doppelbetten. Bett war in unserem Zimmer bequem. Man muss selber putzen. Fazit: Dass das Zimmer in guter Lage ist, wird preislich voll ausgenutzt. Für 6 Tage aushaltbar, aber nichts für Leute, die gerne Comfort haben.
