Blume Cottage, named after Mistress Widow Elizabeth Blume who in 1854 purchased this property . She is the first, female original owner of record. The Cottage has been lovingly restored to maintain the charm of the past and the modern convenience of today! This Creole Cottage, sits two blocks from Lake Ponchatrain in the Historic Mandeville district. Walking distance to the neighborhood's best restaurants, bakery, wine bar, cafe's, coffee shop , antique shops and art gallery .
The space
The Cottage is raised four and a half feet off of the ground. There is also a stairway to the second floor . The back yard is private and has a large patio.
The Primary bedroom is on first level with a king bed and private ensuite. There is a small, full bath off the hall way of first level and a beverage /coffee center and laundry . The great room and kitchen is in the rear of the cottage.
Other things to note
If you would like to host an Event: (i.e. wedding group or any gathering over the permitted 6 guests) you MUST CLEAR THIS WITH US FIRST. Additional Fees will apply. If guests are found to have had an Event/ Gathering without host permission which results in additional cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and IN THE UNFORTUNATE EVENT OF THE DISRUPTION OF NEIGHBORS, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am.
