This was a much needed quick 2 night get-away and was everything we hoped for! The house is the perfect “cabin in the woods” and comes with a large, comfortably shaded deck to sit and enjoy a good book and soak up the Mt Lemmon ambience and 75 degree weather. The furnishings indoors were extremely comfortable and welcoming and maintained that cabin feel. It is a perfect location to celebrate Christmas or even Christmas in July!

The cabin fantastic for my family of 3, we had a very wounderful time in the cabin. The cabin is within walking distances to the center of town. I Would recommend this place who is looking to get away!
The fireplace was wounderful!!!
In the early morning they were some turkey that showed up in front on the cabin

I love the maturity of the trees and the seclusion the fireplace was warm and the proximity to town was nice when on many hikes had an enjoyable weekend

The Forest Hermitage was a great getaway to the pines. The rustic cabin was clean and comfortable for our family of 4- 2 adults and 2 small pups. The location was perfect! Just a few steps from the main road and village. Close to the Faul Preservation Area, Mint Springs trail and the Marshall Gulch. Food options are limited in the village, I highly recommend bringing food to cook at the cabin. There is an outdoor grill (we did not use) and a small, adequate kitchen- no dishwasher or garbage disposal, essential pots and pans. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers available for clothes storage. There is a queen sized bed in the main and twin beds in the second room. The bathroom looked like it was recently upgraded. The vaulted ceilings and exposed beams really added to the overall rustic, cabin feel. We enjoyed coffee, bird watching and just listening to the creek from the deck every morning. For pets, there is no designated dog run area, but plenty of space; you may just need to stay with your pup so they don’t wander off. The easiest way to get to the house is via the steps, unloading and loading your car will require multiple trips. There is an unfinished driveway, but it was very steep and soft from the recent rains. Marsha was very helpful and always just a text message away. Overall a great experience, Summerhaven is a jewel in the desert. The views on the drive up were incredible.

This Cabin was spacious but Cozy. A warm comfortable feeling with or without the fireplace burning. I most definitely will rent this Cabin again. Had everything needed from board games (which we didn't use) to a kitchen knife. Spent most of our time enjoying the weather on the balcony during the day and fireplace at night.

Cabin home away from home!

Beautiful cabin close to restaurants and trailheads. Host was very informative and easy to communicate with. Will definitely recommend we will return! ely recommend and turn!

The place was amazing!!

The cabin was beautiful. The feel, the atmosphere and all around comfort was amazing. Summer haven was a fun little town to visit, and super quiet. The trails were fun fishing was good. And the owner was great. Check in was seamless and got to us with what few questions we had pretty quick. Thank you for letting us stay.

Wonderful City Escape

We enjoyed our stay at Summerhaven to the max, even though the weather was quite cold already. The cabin was well equipped and meets all listed specifications, also check in was easily done. Definitely a recommendation!

Weekend haven

Overall, we loved it. We would just like beds to be addressed. Mattress was very hard. Great location and proximity to Main Street. Beautiful location and perfect for a weekend getaway.

Satisfactory, but BBQ needed cleaning and fireplace wasn’t cleaned giving strong smoke odor onside cabin.

I really did appreciate the trip we did so many things in such a short period of time the cabin was cozy the fireplace worked amazing the steps Can be a little bit much if you're older the environment of the area was great located right in the center of Winter Haven, The host was nice enough to let us in a little early the place was clean and I really appreciated the cabin aesthetics, We had an amazing time we baked cookies lit the fireplace made gingerbread houses we even set up our Christmas tree and opened up our gifts there it was a great experience I kind of wish it snowed when we finally went down The next day it started to rain in Tucson so it started to snow on mount lemon Overall I would say this is a pretty good place if you're looking for a spacious house you may want to look elsewhere but if you're looking for a very intimate setting a very cozy relaxing area with a beautiful view on the balcony this is your spot

Sweet Cabin - Family

My kids, grandkids and I really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! It was a true mountain experience! Nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable. The only complaint woul d be the need for a decent spatula. There was only one, which was just really little. :-) There were BBQ spatulas but that proved too difficult to flip pancakes with.

Comfortable

Lovely old rustic cabin. Comfortable couches and bed. Simple, adequate kitchen. (No toaster at this time.) We were lucky to be there when it snowed. Property keeper cleared the driveway. Main road and highway were cleared early in the day. We had no trouble driving down the mountain in our 4-wheel drive. Long stairway to get to the cabin. Good communication with host.

Visit from the Midwest

Place was comfortable. Could not connect to WiFi. The password that was given never worked. So I could not connect to VRBO the entire visit. Frustrating.

Snowy mountain

The deck surrounding half of the cabin was fabulous! The beds were all very hard and uncomfortable. Even the kids complained and slept on the couches the second night. The TV was terrific with lots of choices. Excellent fireplace but even though they told us to bring our own wood we were surprised that there weren’t even matches or a fire starter. Very rustic. The kitchen was nice but lacking allot of utensils, measuring cups etc. the grill was fine but no grilling utensils provided
