The view was partial, but very nice. The condo was absolutely beautiful, and we were very comfortable. The only criticisms are there is VERY little water pressure in both showers, and with as much as we paid for our stay, the clean up before we leave rules were over the top. (100 if we don't take the trash out, leave towels on the floor (but not on the carpet, etc.). Other than that, it was great.

The location was perfect, it was a nice place to stay. One of the rooms did not have a TV (I think it was not working and they had it in a closet) but we were never told that there would be no tV in the second bedroom it would've been nice to be told. Also, in the master bedroom walk in closet there was a mirror that had a crack in it (I was never told that and I was kind of nervous that they would think I did that), the master bedroom tub wasn't proper cleaned they could've done a better job with cleaning the tub area

Lovely stay

Lovely place right on beach. Loved having heated pool available and restaurant on property! Dog friendly condo. Beware that dogs are not allowed on beach. Lots of restaurants with walking distance of condo. Plenty of towels which isn’t always the case. Spacious and comfortable

a 4 day getaway from the floods in Asheville

It was a nice place for two of us. There isn't an ocean view but it is on the ocean with another building in front of it. The pool area and bar/restaurant were both nice and made lunch easy. The place was clean, but older tub with some green stuff around one place on it. Cleaning people could have missed it. Washer works good and it has a nice balcony.

Great location but needs Bathrooms Remodeled

Great location, great pool and restaurant but condo needs a deep cleaning and bathrooms remodeled. Fixtures pitted and walls of showers stained. Shower curtains mildewed. For the cost per night it should have been cleaner and more up to date bathrooms.

Needs some work

This was a nice place to stay. Decoration was pretty but it is very much out of date. Needs some new faucets in bathrooms and kitchen needs a whole update. Please change the shower liner. It is nasty and they are not expensive

Beach Getaway

We recently stayed at this property while visiting our son who is stationed in GA. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and within walking distance to all that Tybee has to offer. The apartment itself was clean and beautifully decorated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the ability to get our son off of base and spend some time with him. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation on Tybee Island. Thank you!

Not Clean/Great location

Pictures did not represent condo accurately. Mirror in dinning room was not there, it was hanging cracked in master bedroom closet. Closer light did not work, and closet looked like a storage area of old accessories. Rugs were very dirty, 2nd bedroom shower had hunks of calk in shower. Both shower/tub and fixtures were very old. Major dust bunnies under both beds. Cracked bedroom door and dirty, Every room had marks in walls. Most outlets would not hold a plug. It could be a great place, if someone came in and did a little cosmetic work and a deep deep clean.

Tybee stay

We came to see a new place and enjoy better weather than we had back home- we did have a couple of sunny days and a couple of cold and windy days - Tybee is a little sleepy this time of year- but enjoyed the trips into Savannah! Great little small eateries- black river brewery - stingrays gumbo! Fantastic!

Reviewer Comments: Last minute trip to the coast, everything as described in listing, clean and comfortable, front desk was great and answered all questions prior to arrival and during stay, would recommend this location, perfect and on the beach, downside was this is off season so everything shuts down early (not resort's issue, just the timing of the season), ate at Bubba Gumbo and it was delicious!

First time at Tybee

The property manager and owner were wonderful to work with. The property was clean and contained some essentials. Restaurant on site was delicious and convenient. One pool was heated and the other one was cold. We liked the locked gate and felt safe. The condo needs electric outlets repaired in small bedroom. If we had known we would have requested the neighboring condo as we overlooked the parking lot in the back and street in the front and could barely see the ocean. Condo felt older and needs updates. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Close to everything!

Decent, needs some updating… showers need some work, lost light in one the other one the shower head was leaking & loose. Carpet needs replaced! Location good! Pools were great!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beachside Colony is in a great location! Loved the access to restaurant, beach, and pool. Loved the location of the resort and was great for proximity to everything. The major problem was the unit. It has a major urine smell embedded into the carpet. I'm pretty sure previous people locked their dog into the master closet and just let them pee. Property management offered to spray something over it and I have asthma and declined and it needed to be professional cleaned to really help the smell. Nothing has been updated, painted, and it is in need of a big deep clean. I had to put blankets over the furniture and wear shoes because it felt so dirty. It definitely tarnished our trip but as a family, we still had a good week. Management was extremely nice and I appreciate that. Would not stay at this unit again but I would stay at the resort again in a unit that has perfect reviews for being clean. I appreciate that I was able to bring my dog and I appreciate the resort and the nice people that work there. But for future reference the carpet/rug is disgusting, the toilet in hall is not attached to the floor appropriately, and this unit needs a deep clean for odor, furniture steam cleaned, and spray for bugs. Also the 2 books are balancing the master TV up. I just felt for what we paid, we deserved a better unit. The pictures are too nice for what it really is at 527 and misleading. The owners really need to put some money into this unit and fix things asap. The carpet needs to be torn out and replaced as number one priority.

Great location and property

My sister and I stayed at The Beach Colony for four nights. The property was wonderful! Sparkly clean and so nice! The Che k- in process was super easy and simple. We had great parking too. It was a short walk to the beach. The Deck has great food and drinks. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the pool, but the pool was nice.. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own.
