Gettysburg Bike week

We come every year for Gettysburg bike week and this year we stayed at the carriage house. It's very clean and comfy, very convenient to restaurants.

We had an excellent stay. Parking is a little difficult especially if you have more than one vehicle. There are stairs but nothing that was a problem for us. The house is great and even stocked with some breakfast items. The location is perfectly located in the middle of town that you are in walking distance of both sides of town for shopping and eating. We only drove to go to the battle site. Check in was easy and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location on Baltimore Road in Gettysburg, easy walk to town square and very well located.This is an older property with "custom" renovations but that is what we were expecting. If you want a luxury VRBO, this is not for you. If you want a well located property with very nice touches from the host (bars / muffins / eggs / etc) then you will appreciate this unit.It was clean enough but there were a couple of surprises for us, so do a preventative wash on your favorite items.Absolutely nothing to dissuade us from returning or recommending -- thank you!

Great Location

Great location, we loved walking around downtown Gettysburg. Served us well during our family trip, had some nice theming elements and good communal space to hangout together. The breakfast foods the host provided was a really nice touch.

Excellent stay

We rented the house for a couples weekend away. The house was clean, and the breakfast items that were left for us were really good. I met the owners and they were very nice. We will definitely be back!

Great host, great location

Our family of 10 adults had a wonderful time. The space was perfect. Breakfast was perfect and so nice not to have to go grocery shopping. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent experience! The place was as advertised, very clean, and the beds very comfortable! The provided continental breakfast was generous and delicious. Met the owner who was very friendly andhelpful about the home and local attractions.

Great Stay with Challenges

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of continental breakfast items and the house was very clean. The owner communicated well and the property was as described. I want to emphasize those of staying enjoyed our stay. A few items of note: ^To get into one of the bedrooms you must go through another bedroom or a bathroom to access that particular bedroom. ^One of the bedrooms does not have A/C. ^The stairs are narrow and if you have any mobility challenges this could be an issue. Two of the couples in our group had to leave and go stay somewhere else as none of the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. ^One of the bathrooms is on the first floor and only one is on the upper floors with the 5 bedrooms. ^If you have more than 2 vehicles parking is an issue. You cannot even pay to park on the street over night. I tried paying the parking meter but I got a time restricted response. I believe you cannot park there after 2 AM (this may be a city ordinance). We had 5 vehicles initially and we ultimately had 3 so we had issues with parking. There was parking up the street at a business. We could park there after hours on the weekend, but if we were staying through the week, I am not sure where we would have parked. This is mentioned in the description for the rental but I am giving more details. 6 - The furniture in the house is era appropriate so the beds are elevated. Step stools are provided on both sides of the beds where needed.

Für meinen Mann und mich war die Wohnung perfekt.Es war eine Empfehlung unserer Tochter die über Silvester mit ihrem Partner da war.Es war alles da was man brauchte,unglaublich viel Platz an Schränken und echt gemütlich.Für zwei Personen absolut ausreichend.Und der Tiefgaragenstellplatz ist natürlich mega klasse.Wir würden bestimmt noch mal dort Urlaub machen.

And it’s right beside The Gettysburg Mercantile Museum(An 1800s General Store), Goose Bros Ice Cream Parlor, and The Maryland Sutler Civil War Reenacting Store & Gift Shop. Recreations and originals.
