Cada historia tiene un balcón con vistas al golfo de México. Hay un acceso a la playa paseo marítimo privado aprox. 50 metros de distancia. En la piscina privada se puede tomar el sol la barbacoa, y disfrutar de descanso fuera. Dos garajes de coches proporcionan un amplio aparcamiento y parking en 2 caminos. Dunas de Destin es una comunidad cerrada de acceso privado.

Garaje para dos coches y espacio en la calzada para dos coches más. Área con dormitorio de matrimonio baño grande habitación con literas y el pasillo de acceso al grupo a estar abajo. Privado barbacoa piscina con mini nevera.

The owner is very responsive to resolve any issues. Like many rentals it could have been cleaner.

Great location

Great location. The house layout was nice, but the house could use some upgrades and repairs. We didnt have very many towels and wish we would have packed more because our group had to wash towels through our stay. We would have liked more info on beach and what we can take down there and the fees for umbrella and chair rentals. We had a great time. Overall. Thanks

The house was exactly as described

Wonderful experience. The house was clean and Spacious. Very well stocked with dishes, towels and bedding. The pool was great for the kids in the evening. The extra refrigerator made a world of difference with our large group. Great location, close to everything. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice house

The house was great! The pictures don’t do it justice. Very short walk to the beach. Only thing we would have liked to see would be to have the pool heated. The owner was very responsive. What I loved most about it is it’s segmented enough where multiple families can stay together and have a great time but still have privacy and escape to their own section of the house when needing a break. We will definitely be staying here again!

Our Week @ Katrina

We had a total of 12 people 8 of which were children. We had an excellent time. The property was beautiful, the beach is extremely close. Had nearly everything we needed. The AC on the first floor was not working when we arrived. We called John and he had a repair man out in 30 mins and it was fixed right away. It was a fun relaxing weekend . We also had the luck of catching the Destin seafood festival which was awesome.

Beautiful beach and location

We had a great stay at this house. A few things I would note: 1) super important - the pool is not heated. Unfortunately we were not able to get in the water at all during our stay, 2)there are only 2 beach chairs provided at the beach and you're not allowed to bring your own. Additional chairs are 40 for the day each, so pretty pricey, 3)) the entertainment system wasn't working at the house, so you'll need to bring your own Bluetooth speaker or use the TV sound if you want to play anything. 4) there weren't many trash bags or toilet paper provided, for a large house and only 4 days we ran out quickly.Other than that, the beach nearby is very convenient and access and beautiful! The decor/ home is very dated if that's something you care about, but the beds are comfortable and the management team is quick to respond for your needs.

Nice size

Great size home for our family vacation. Just felt the home was a bit beat up and not maintained well. Main bath shower handle broken off- maint tech stopped to check it stating yep not sure how he’d fix that? What??? Just needed some everyday maint such as light bulbs out everywhere, weeds at pool… but all and all nice vacation.

Needs updating

The property seems to have foundation issues. Floor bows in kitchen and top floor bathroom. Its a nice place, just a little updating would be nice. Biggest complaint was the roaches. Owner did have someone spray asap but still disappointing. House is a small walk from beach, which is wonderful!

Beautiful home

Me and line sisters were celebrating our 15 the anniversary in our sorority. We wanted to stay together on or trip so we could bond and enjoy each other's company! This house was amazing! It was 10 of us and everybody had their own space. We got a great workout from the stairs! 🙂 Everything was clean and beds were very comfortable. We would definitely come again. John was prompt with responding to me if I had any questions. This trip was a hassle free trip! Everything we thought we might need for the kitchen was already there. Great girls getaway!

Destin Beach house

Overall- great experience and house was excellent. We are very particular, I will start with the pros: - the house is gorgeous inside and out. Also- the house was very clean. Most pet friendly houses that we have previously rented are not as clean. -location is spot on; we spend so much time on the beach and it's such an easy walk and the beach is private as well as very wide. (nice touch having 2 chairs that come with the house) - Safe, it's in a gated community, very quiet; we have teens that we felt very comfortable letting them come and go on their own - Huge- the house is gigantic; we only had 7 people and did not even use the bottom floor. - the kitchen is well equipped with everything that you will need. - Living room is spacious and has plenty of comfortable seating for everyone Cons: - our biggest complaint was the blinds in the bedrooms; one particular bedroom the shades are half broken and a ton of light goes through the window (it's hard to sleep in). Even in the other bedrooms, so much light. This nice of a house needs room darkening shades - A few general maintenance needs to be done- the rails going go to the house need to be tightened and a lot of light bulbs are burned out. -We didn't use the pool, but walked out to the pool area and it was a mess with beer cans everywhere. Pool was a mess- but we didn't use or let the management know ahead of them that we wanted to use the pool- so we can't really complain about this. Cleaning crew does need to clean up the pool area before new guest arrive This is not a con for us, because we are always competing with each other on who in the family gets the most steps- but be aware of the steps to get into the house. Lots and lots of steps- but that means more activity level. Overall- this was an excellent house and we would recommend this house. Thank you for sharing your georgrous house with our family!

Nice on the surface...but in need of upkeep!

On the outside, Katrina is great! However, after we arrived, we found the house in need of quite a bit of TLC. My husband and I were hosting about 16 other family and friends for a beach bash extended weekend. As much as they charge for Katrina, I would have thought it would be in better condition. If we'd paid peak season rates, I would be even more upset and possibly asking for some sort of refund. Here is the list of things needing improvement: furniture on the balconies is old, rusted, torn, broken, and missing. Our balcony had a table and one chair. There is bird poop over the majority of the third floor balcony, and on most of the railings around the house. The dining room chairs are okay, but a few are ripped and have been for a while. The mattresses in the bunk room are deplorable. So bad that my friend slept on the sofa instead. The sofa in the main living area is very old with no support; you sink at least a foot when you sit down. The cooking utensils are random and many are broken. There is not a single dish cloth, hand towel or POT HOLDER in the kitchen. I had to use a bath towel to get cinnamon rolls out of the oven! The grill was disgusting and didn't light so we could not use it. Even if it had worked, I’m not sure I would have let my food be cooked on it. The dishwasher kept trying to roll out of the cabinet and did not seem to be connected. The 1st floor shower head is broken. Lastly, the TVs in some of the rooms are about 20 years old. That being said, overall we had a great time and the beach is stunning with powder-white sand. Reasonable rates to rent umbrella/chairs.

Did not pay peak rates received military discount plus 1 Night free Furniture is not Rusted its white from the Salt which takes a beating being so close to beach The bird dropping is cleaned every week the birds love to nest near the beach as a owner we are always trying to keep up with it Other guest move the chairs all around to other balconies you just have to move the chairs to which balcony you want them on the mattress are in good condition The sofa will be replaced this Jan There were dish cloths in the lower cabinet to the right of sink there were also pot holders there also there is variety of utensils we replace them on a regular basis The grill is cleaned on a weekly basis the bottom pan was just replaced also when it takes a lot of wear tear you might have you use the lighter which is provided as grills tend to have the ignither burn out all tvs are in great running condition we replaced 3 tvs in the past 6 months The shower head is not broken it has a short handle which you need to turn to you setting I apologize for dishwasher a new one was installed just a month ago it was not installed properly it has been fixed This guest sent me like 25-50 emails prior to arrival we have a lot repeat guest overall the house is in great condition I am glad you enjoyed your stay

Review of property rental in Destin "Katrina"

Overall, our 1 week stay in the rental house called "Katrina" was great, and if we were to return to the area we would likely rent the house again. That being said, there were a few issues we encountered. We arrived to the property at the scheduled check-in time, and the house cleaners were still there. They left within 20 minutes and repeatedly said, "we did our best" but explained that there had been a large party of girls staying there over the weekend. We didn't feel the house was completely clean and it was ; there were bits of trash on the kitchen table and living room table, 2 of the trash cans were not empty (though not all that full). There was barely any toilet paper in the house; we had to immediately go out and buy several rolls. We also had to buy paper towels for the kitchen, dish soap, and there were zero garbage bags. As rental-property owners ourselves, these are items that the owner typically provides so that guests do not have to purchase these day-to-day necessities. The remote control for the tv in the living room was missing; we were informed that one was being "over-nighted" to the property. We did not receive the remote until 2 days prior to our departure, and it didn't work once it arrived. There were workers present throughout the duration of our stay working on laying tile on the front porch, rendering the front porch completely unusable which doesn't seem like a big deal, but this meant there wasn't a balcony our whole family could sit on in the evenings listening to the ocean which is one of our favorite vacation activities. We were informed prior to our arrival that the crew would be there, but it was a pesky annoyance to have them there every day. We had to keep the blinds closed to the front porch where they were working and the crew parked in the driveway. We were not able to adjust the thermostat on the main level, and it got way too warm at times! The temperature of the house should absolutely be under the control of the guests. We needed a rocking chair for our 7 month old but there is not one at the property. This is not something easily transported from out-of-state where we visited from and it would have been easy for the owner to provide an inexpensive one. All in all, the pros outweigh the cons. The interior is very nice, the description of the property and photos are accurate. The owner was very accessible to answer any questions. Definitely recommend the house. Visit GUSU for standup paddleboard tours!

I understandsood that there were comtruction workers on the deck due the recent weather we had prior we lost almost seven days of work the workers could not stop they were in the middle of the project As far as the remote the previous guest lost it had to get one from manufacture which was ordered and sent There is efficient enough paper nessecities for every room When i was in destin i looked around for a rocking chair however was unable to locate one that is not something kept in the property on an every day basis I do apologise for any other imconviences and will make sure next time for stay all need are meant

La casa estuvo muy cómoda y limpia solo unas pequeñas actualizaciones en la cosina la playa está cerca tuvimos problemas con el internet q no había pero el resto bien si volvería a rentar la casa gracias al administrador siempre tuvo buena comunicación con nosotros

Bonita casa

Todo estuvo bien fueron 2 años consecutivos de rentar la misma casa el único problema fue que no llegaba el aire acondicionado suficiente tuvimos mucho calor habían ventiladores pero no era suficiente si arreglaran ese problema estaría todo mejor
