This unit comes with a queen bed, air conditioning, fresh linens, beach chairs/beach towels, cooler and a stocked kitchen with everything you need for fully cooked meals during your stay.
This brand new constructed apartment is uphill on a private road with water views.
There’s a private parking spot on site and full concierge services if needed. (4x4 mandatory)

Wonderful view of water, from a shaded porch. Very comfortable one-bedroom with sofa, and kitchen/dining room allowed us to heat/cook a few meals. Would definitely stay here again .

Good place to stay, clean and conveniently located, has on-site parking. Need a 4WD Jeep to get up the driveway. Beware you will take a cold shower if you don’t realize there’s a “heater” switch in the bathroom to heat up the shower water.

Secret hideaway

We had a lovely time at your hideaway, it was exactly what we where looking for. Everything was top notch, everything we needed was available and even going up and down the hill was super fun. Great location and easy access. Definitely will recommend to my friends and family and for sure if I go back to St John, I will stay there again.

Great stay!

Great place for 2 people. About a 15 minute walk to Cruz Bay. Steep driveway, but had no problems in our jeep or with walking it. Great if you don’t want to pay for downtown parking and like a good walk after dinner. May was great and we would stay again! :)

Space was exceptionally clean and had everything we may have needed. Description is accurate, communication is on point.Trust the reviews - the hill IS very steep and it was scary going up the first few times. Steep hills are a thing on the island so you do get used to it. I would not attempt on anything that’s not a 4 wheel drive. Apparently roosters are also a thing, nothing the owner of the property could do, they are everywhere, do yourself a favor and bring ear plugs… would stay again!!!

Cute Little Place for two

Property is as advertised. Perfect for 2 and very convenient 5 minute drive to Cruz Bay for lunch/dinner. Well maintained. Beach chair and cooler were available which was essential for trips to the beach. I would stay again. Can't beat the convenience of the location to the markets and town.

Good Location

The location was great as you were only a few minutes to town. As mentioned by others and in the property description, the driveway is STEEP and looks a bit daunting to get up the first time you arrive. I do recommend a Jeep or another 4 wheel drive vehicle. Beyond that, the place has everything you need and is clean. Owners are very responsive and accommodating. We would stay here again next time we visit St. John.

Excellent place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place. Convenient location, well equipped with the necessities, and clean. We had a power outage and owner answered our questions almost immediately and power was back on within a couple hours. Thank you for everything!

I wouldn’t say the rental is “walkable” unless you are able to walk up the very steep driveway. I highly recommend renting a jeep or a vehicle with 4x4. The rental was very clean and included everything you need, and communication was great! Would stay again!

Great little place!

Very Clean and has everything you need. We needed a place for 2 nights and this was perfect. Easy instructions. There is a tv & sofa in the bedroom, so the bedroom and living room serve dual purposes. Everything was comfy. We’d stay again if needed.

Property was easy to find and close to Cruz Bay and all the restaurants, etc. Bedroom A/C kept room nice and cool for sleeping, entire apartment was clean and well stocked. There is a beautiful view of Cruz Bay as soon as you reach the parking area of the apartment. Definitely want a Jeep to get up the driveway, but it was easily doable with the one we had as a rental. Area was nice and quiet at night, no complaints.

Great value

Great place to stay. Its a 15 minute walk to Cruz Bay but I would get taxi for return. The walk from EC station to house is steep, not recommended for people with poor health. A/C is cold and internet fast.

Great property

My stay from start to finish was very smooth, the rental is up a hill I would say that’s the only downfall but if you have a rental keep your good. I did not get a rental vehicle we walked everywhere or got a taxi to our destination and we were fine. The rental property has everything you need and was very clean and comfortable. The property manager was fantastic and made everything very easy and responded very quickly!! Awesome stay definitely would recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at sunset hideaway. May answered any questions we had in a reasonable time period. Downtown Cruz bay is in within walking distance, however some spots are kind of sketchy. We hiked up the very steep hill every day during our stay. If you are looking to get into better shape that hiking up the driveway will help you out. The only thing we were bummed about was that Sunset hideaway did not have a grill. We hope to come back to St. John sometime In the next several yrs . St. John is our favorite island to visit.

Wonderful set up for two people. Very accommodating host. I reported coffee pot had an issue the first night, and a replacement was waiting at the door when I woke up. We used stove to cook in most nights. No grill, so plan accordingly. A/C in bedroom makes it very comfy. NiceKitchen and bath/shower. Be forewarned you definitely need a 4wd, and put it IN 4wd, to get up the hill…and hill can be slick after rain, so time it well. A view that overlooks car ferry area. Oh, and no need for alarm clock, the rooster has you covered!

A Gem for couples on St John

Great little gem on St John. Unit is close to Cruz Bay, Starfish Market is right round the corner and gas station at bottom of drive. Owner was very nice and quickly responded to any questions. Unit was very clean and many amenities were provided. Beach chairs and a cooler come with the unit. Bed was very comfortable and A/C kept the unit cool. Full kitchen with plenty of space. Perfect for couples. As stated in description you need a there car or jeep to get up the driveway you have your own parking spot and a pretty cool view of sunsets right from the outside sitting area. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back. Thanks again to May for opening up your place to us.
