What a great place for people and pets. Super location right next to a launch point for great walks down to tomahawk lake or up the mountain next to the golf course. Well stocked, and some of the best bedding in all the bedrooms.

Black Mountain-Short Trip

As always, we really enjoyed being in Black Mountain. The home is very clean; well laid out and in a great location. Stephanie was very responsive and accommodating to our needs and requests. We would definitely stay at the Blue Sky Bungalow again in the future.

It was a great stay

Great Spot!

This house is perfect for a family getaway! The house is great, has everything you need and is in a great location! The host was super helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here and we’d stay again if in the area!

I don’t like to travel and I’m very picky. I loved this house! It was so clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The host is attentive and warm. We have children and grandchildren in Marion and Asheville . My search for a home away from home has ended and will stay here on future visits.

The Perfect Spot

This place was great for an amazing getaway. We’ve been coming to Black Mountain for years to attend conferences in Montreat, but we wanted to have our own trip with a friend to explore. We got to see Black Mountain in a whole new way. The accommodations were perfect. Very clean, attractive, and comfortable. And close to everything.

Love this home!!

Photos don’t do it justice. It is cute and cozy but also relaxing and peaceful. We travels with kids and teenagers and our dog, and everyone was happy. My kids said it was the best mattress ever! My teens enjoyed the fire pit and we liked the location and the cleanliness. Just book it, you’ll be thrilled.

Perfect mini vacation

This was the best accommodations. The attention to details were amazing. Extremely comfortable beds with nice lens, nice toiletries and even tooth brushes! The kitchen was well stocked. The extras for infants were especially helpful. The Host provided food bowls and blankets for our 2 dogs as well. Great location and very clean. I would rate this higher than 5 stars and we will return as soon as we can.

Wonderful well-stocked home in terrific location with kind host

My pup and I loved the beautiful bungalow and nicely landscaped fenced yard. Stephanie was extremely responsive and thought of all her guests' needs, including canine guests by providing a dog bed, blanket, and bowls. She even provided extra toothbrushes and tasty treats. The home is gorgeously decorated, incredibly comfortable with soft blankets, comfy bed, and nice towels, and well-stocked with all the kitchen items needed (even gourmet coffee and tea). The location is across from the golf course in walking distance of Lake Tomohawk. Downtown Black Mountain is minutes away by car or within walking distance. Check-in and check-out were easy. It was a joy staying at the bungalow and I hope it is available for future trips to Black Mountain. Thank you Stephanie for creating such a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

Absolutely lovely and truly dog friendly!

We loved our stay here – the property is really great and it's 100% dog friendly. A lot of time listings will claim to be dog friendly but have extra fees, stipulations, etc where you have to read the fine print. This was the first place we've stayed where we felt dogs were *welcome*. Food and water bowls, a fenced in area, and blankets to welcome them onto furniture/keep them cozy. The rest of the human amenities were just as great. Big soft beds in every room including double queen bunks for the kids. Plenty of seating to eat, plenty of seating to on the couch. Everything was clean, tidy and organized. Towels were soft, shampoo and other toiletries provided was like being in a nice hotel! Location wise it's about a 15-20 minute drive to Asheville depending on which part you're going to, so it was no issue. Plenty of hikes that are driveable as well. Downtown Black Mountain is also super cute and charming and a nice place to visit, shop, eat/drink, etc. Truly a wonderful place to stay. Thank you!

A restful, tranquil home

Our stay was excellent in every way. The neighborhood was quiet, the place very clean and nicely decorated with many warm touches to help us feel comfortable and welcome. Stephanie was an outstanding host and communicated quickly with us. Her welcome book was full with lots of information on the area and gave us a sense of the unique and special connection she had with the home. We highly recommend this rental!

I live locally in Asheville. I have worked as a PA here in the medical community for 10 years and continue to do so. My husband owns a restaurant in North Asheville, Avenue M. He is a wine sommelier. We have 2 children that are 2 and 6 years old. I absolutely love getting to share our home with travelers. I get to meet and talk to so my great people. It has truly brought so much joy into my life. We had so much fun renovating and designing our home to get it ready for vacationers. We stayed in so many vacation rentals when we were adopting our son that we learned during the 2 year process exactly what we liked in vacation rentals and put it ALL into our home. I look forward to making your vacation amazing.

This was actually our first home when we got married and started our family. We choses it because of the location. It is located right on the golf course. Our family took daily walks to Lake Tomahawk where we could view the Seven Sister Mountain Range. It is 2 miles to downtown Black Mountain where there are endless things to do. Now we get to share it with people coming from near and far and that's really fun.
