This beach house exceeded our Christmas expectations. I have been doing VRBO for over 10 years and our host Shantelle was probably the most attentive we have ever had. She graciously gave us a late check out because the next guests weren't arriving until the next day. Most of the living is done upstairs because the table is huge and we had a blast playing cards up there every night, and of course the view is spectacular. But if it gets too noisy (We had five little kids with us, and four couples), You can go downstairs where it is quite peaceful and feng shui. Nice place to read a book in peace and quiet, & has rooms that get dark enough to lay babies down for a nap. The kitchens are wonderfully stocked, we cooked four big meals. There's a TV in every room & Wi-Fi is great. Coffee on the patio up or down is amazing. Almost every bedroom has its own bathroom! The location can't be beat. Literally less than one block to the Balboa Island ferry, we rode bikes over there & saw Christmas lites. Its a super easy walk to Ruby's at the end of the pier, & there's three fun hopping bars just around the corner. There is a cute kids playground near the pier, and the beach sand and fire pits are mere steps away, where we watched some Beautiful sunsets.Shauntelle was great checking on us, fixing one door lock problem immediately, got us extra towels & beach chairs. She is more like dealing with a friend than a landlord. I would do this again in a heartbeat. GREAT house for big groups!
