The house has great potential but there were several issues. The sliding door in the living room was broke to where we couldn’t close or lock it along with with the side doors on the outside where entry to the hot tub was. The house was not clean to our standards. Soap container left in bathroom hair in bathroom along side the base boards was dirty. Fridge wasn’t clean. Between the stove looked like it hasn’t been moved or cleaned for some time. The washcloths and towels had weird smell to them. Porch light didn’t work it was covered in spider webs along with the whole porch. The house was in a nice quiet area a few miles from the beach. I also reach out to the owner with these same complaints he did apologize and did a small reimbursement but overall would not book this house again due to the safety concerns and cleanliness of the property.

This is not vrbo worthy! Buyer beware! I did report to vrbo! Cobwebs! Cockroachs! And mold!. This just is either a scammer or out of state and being scam by the caretaker! Dont believe the cute little pic of the front with the lighthouse that is busted and the top not even there. Pics must of been taken years ago.

The house was filthy! Trash, including a partially-drunk soda and loose potato chips, was under the bed in the bedroom set up for kids. The coffee maker was disgusting; we had to clean it before we could use it. The dishwasher had been run, but à glass was tipped up and collected water during the cycle. The length of time it sat resulted in a strong sewer gas smell in the dishwasher. We had to spend half an hour the first morning cleaning the kitchen so we felt comfortable making and eating breakfast. The sliding glass door did not close all the way, letting in bugs and cold air overnight.

The property had a lot of ants. The hot water heater was out the time of check in until the next night. A city employee came to the house and explained to us that the property was not suppose to be an air b&b. The yard was not maintained, and the hot tub was dirty and the outside of the property was not maintained.

The owner is very responsive. For my purposes the location was excellent. Just minutes from the beach as well as shopping and restaurants and yet located in a quiet peaceful neighborhood.

Not ready to be a Vrbo property

I would not stay at this location again. While it was a good house in a nice area, the details of being a short term rental were missed. Upon arriving it was clear that the grass had not been cut in a long time. We realized once inside that the house hadn’t been cleaned lately. It was dusty, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, there was trash under the couch & a sippy cup was left on one of the beds. Also, we were not given paper towels, ice/ice trays, hand soap in the bathrooms, an iron or extra trash bags. Our reservation was for 7 people: only 6 towels were provided. Again, nice house overall, but the extras were missed.

Nothing that I expected

I came down to Virginia for a friends weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. We had chosen this property since it seemed to be cozy and in a commutable location for all the activities we planned. We arrived late on a Friday night and the entry way was not lit at all and the neighborhood is sketchy and dark. For three women, it felt very unsafe. We stayed hopeful but after inspecting the inside, we were immediately disappointed. Everything was dirty and used. The bedding had stains and crumbs, some beds only had the bottom fitted sheet, no top sheets or comforters. We found a beer bottle cap on the floor. The window curtains were crooked and broken. All the cleaning supplies were there, very old and used (including the kitchen sponge which was falling apart). There were even shoes in the closet, nothing was organized. At the end of the night, we thought of sleeping on the couch, but the couches were stained too! It was very disappointing, I did not feel safe and was disgusted with the amount of filth. We decided to call Vrbo customer service for a refund and booked a hotel instead. Never again!

Perfect for our family

Located in a great location. Quiet and neighbors were friendly. Close to shops and stores. Jacuzzi was a great bonus.

A very quiet area

Might wake up to birds chriping because its the loudest noise in the neighborhood hot tub was very nice and the driveway was nice

Christmas need

The house fit our need of 1 story, 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths. Some items have needed to be repaired for months ( based on previous reviews). House was clean. At check in, there was such a strong odor of whatever cleaner was used. After 30 minutes, l had a headache. The odor was gone the next morning. I would stay there sgain.

Better than expected

Check-in and entrance easy. Very spacious and clean. (Except spider webs outside) Everything worked TV, washer/dryer, WiFi stove etc . Would definitely rent again.
